My gpu fan will wiggle back and forth then won’t move I’ve tried to spin it with my hand to see if it would work but nothing any reason this would happen and how to fix it

Hi, I bought a Turkish brand laptop 4 years ago. Cpu fan started making weird noises and when i checked from control panel, i spotted it was only rotating with 400rpm at max.(4700rpm for gpu) Opened the case and when it spinned it stops unlike gpu which spins after a bit of time when the force stops. I found a fan that exactly matches my computer's model but its a bit pricey. How can i search for an aftermarket fan that could fit into my laptop ? The Turkish brand is buying the notebook from a company called Clevo and i couldn't find which model of theirs, thus i couldn't search for a clevo fan. Mentioned Laptop -> https://www.epey.com/laptop/game-garaj-blaster-7tn-c02.html Would i be okay with a random fan that matches volt and ampere values and if it would fit into the slot?

Hello, I am just wondering if my gpu is at a safe temp while gaming. It normally averages around 85 - 89 degrees when gaming. Now I have repasted the gpu however it has just not gotten any cooler. Now it is an asus rx 580 8gb and a dual card so I'm not so overly worried but I need this card to last me an extra 5 months and it has been with me for a while nearly everyday so it's been through what I say 'discomfort'. So my question is, is is this a safe temperature and last me a little longer. I've had it about 4 years and apparently gpu's only last 3-5 years so I'm worried is 85-89 degrees celsuis safe? (185-192 Fahrenheit)

I have the Strix X470-F and recently stumbled upon the Fan Control software from Rem0o which seems highly reccomended. Can anyone using this can help out or point me to a guide on the correct system configuration outside the Fan Control app itself? For example a guide on what to set in the BIOS. It successfully detects all my PWM fans but there is a problem... it appears to be struggling to apply the intended speeds. If I set a fan to manual control and 100%, it will step up 8% every ~5 seconds instead of every 1 second. I do not have any other software in Windows that controls fan speed. I have already set all fans to run at a flat 40% in the BIOS so that the firmware will not try to override the fan speeds when CPU temperature changes.

Check the video. My fan (Deepcool LS720 SE White) makes this noise when the speed is set at 99% or higher. Please don't tell me to keep it at as high as 98%. I extracted the cables from the thing they sit in, loosened the screws, but it still makes this noise and I went insane for a moment. You see the four white things going out from the center of the fan? I think it's the one with the cables (the one to the right) that is being pressed down on the fan. When I pull out circle in the middle (It is attached to the fan but not tightly) it stops making that noise for as long as I hold it. I purchased this in june from a third party computersalg, so less than seven months ago. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/698875477720563733/1197230570510487624/IMG_0613.mov?ex=65ba82db&is=65a80ddb&hm=9ad3be788108ef17cc0933e923d22cd75b0dd6ef34d775fea2e87204c6452d2a&

Hello, I have a question that I want to know. Which is better when it comes to cooling, 3 120mm fans or 2 140mm fans? On the website for the case I have one of the sides support up to either 3 120’s or 2 140’s (the case I have is the MSI MPG Velox 100R if that info is useful) the fans I am planning on using is the Noctua A12x25 fan as my 120mm fans and the Noctua A14 fans as my 140mm fans if that is of any help. What is better at cooling the 3 A12x25’s or 2 A14’s?

I have a problem just like this. However, I am given the option for 3 90mm fans for the bottom. Could I use it as intake and the other 3 as exhaust? Hello everyone! I have a few doubts regarding my case's ability to properly cool my components. First off, the front panel is solid (I know, should've gotten a mesh one). Second, there's 3 mounting slots for fans, one 120mm at the back and 2x 120mm at the top. Now, the conventional wisdom says that intake fans should be placed at the front and at the bottom of the case and that the rest should be exhaust. Obviously, i can't run that setup due to the mounting and air-flow constraints (side panel is tempered glass, so no luck there either). My components aren't that hot to begin with (Ryzen 3 4100 and XFX RX 580 8GB), but the GPU temps do hit around 77-78c at max tilt. Currently, I only have one exhaust fan at the back. I was thinking of RGB-ing the case with 3 fans, but I'm unsure of the air flow guidelines for my specific scenario, couldn't find anything similar online. Any help would be appreciated. Best regards!

Hello So, I recently got the SpeedFan Software, which is super awesome and I had it for a while for my CPU/AIO fan but when I tried it for my GPU, it detects 2 Sensors(for 2 fans), but I can only control one fan, so I started the Setup Assistant again and now booth fans of my GPU stoped... And won't react to the Curve, when I Exit the Software the GPU Fans start to spin again... So I guess the start and stop values got detected wrong... So for me it makes no sense that the Start and stop values are on 0 on the right: Specs: RTX 3070 i7 13th Gen AIO: Artic Liquid Freezer II 360 Windows 11 I hope I'm not too wrong... Thanks for your help!

Hey all. I bought Antec fusion fans which come with a fan/RGB hub included. I have 4 fans plugged into it, and they all light up/power on - but only one of them (the one plugged into the first slot) adjusts its RPM (and displays the speed accordingly) while the rest blow at 100%. These are 4 pin fans plugged into a 4 pin cha_fan header (which I've checked the manual, DOES support PWM). I've tried the two chasis headers on the board and the same issue persists. If I move the fan to different slots on the hub, it loses the ability to change its speed and report it back (BIOS shows 'N/A' on that header). I've made sure all connections are secure and seated, to no avail. CPU/AIO fan is plugged into CPU_FAN while the pump itself is on CPU_OPT (Was going to switch it to AIO_PUMP but as it seems that both are virtually the same and the guide even suggested the former, I left it as-is) The hub is plugged into CHA_FAN2 (Originally CHA_FAN1) and already set to PWM mode. There is no SYS_FAN header. I switched the source from CPU to motherboard, and that yielded no results. I'm working with an ROG Strix Z370-E (fairly old, but it was gifted to me and is now in a less powerful system than my main). Here's a diagram from the manual showing all the fan inputs.

I'm building a PC using the Fractal Pop Air case, the system is all air cooled and I have a Hyper 212 as a CPU cooler. I was wondering what's the best setup for the case fan. Right now I'm thinking of 2 intake fans at the front and 3 exhaust fans (2 at the top & 1 at the back). Would that be good enough? For the case fans I'm thinking of getting the Cooler Master Masterfan MF120, do suggest if there are better alternatives for decently priced RGB fans.

I built a pc fairly recently, like a month or so. Everything has been working great and last night all was fine but I turn it on this morning and the psu fan blows super hard and stops then blows hard again. Everything works fine, temps are not high, load is not high. Tried turning on an intensive game and it still blew hard. Obviously is not full of dust as it is a month old. It is a Corsair RM750e. What is going on and do I need to replace it? That would be less than ideal.

Budget: >100 (not including case) What RGB fans should I get, I want them to be ICUE compatible. I have a Gigabyte B450M DS3H mother board and a 5600x. Im playing to upgrade my case to a Corsair 4000D Airflow. What fans should get I. I am including controllers or hubs.

So, fresh tower build from ME, had 2 DeepCool LT720 liquid coolers fail (grinding). They replaced the last AOI with a Lian Li GAll Trinity 360. The tech installed Lian Li's L-Connect software. I didn't ask them to, but it's on. I was using MSI Center for fan control, which seemed to work with the last two AOI coolers, and showed both cpu and pump speed/fan control. Now, it seems like the Lian Li rad fan keeps fluctuating, like every 5-10 seconds, and pump fan doesn't show. Doesn't matter what I adjust on the MSI, or the Lian Li software, it keeps doing it. I don't know what to look for or even where to start. Any advice? What do you need to know? mobo spec: MSI Tomahawk Z790

Since i replaced my hdd with an ssd, i noticed that the fan does not spin or is it really quiet? Thing is speedfan does not show any fans connected, neither does the BIOS. Last time i tried the stress test it went up to 65 degrees and stopped there. The laptop also gets very hot on my lap for some reason.

So I wanted to turn down the GPU fans to 0% when the temperature is under say 50c. However, MSI afterburner wont let me turn it below 30%. Is this locked because of a setting in afterburner, or in my BIOS? Card: ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 8GB DUAL OC-Thank you.

I really felt like I would be annoying if I asked too many questions, but im at a semi breaking point, so im kinda desperate now annd this is the best place I know with the most info on pcstuff. I have all the parts figured out from weeks of research, now im on the fans and after about 4 days of research I have landed on the lian li sli infinity fans, they mark all my boxes for performance to quality to argb, and noise. BUT these fans are much more complex or so it seems at least, They use a specific connector I think @RevGAM explained what it uses but I am a noob and didnt understand really what was said, he said something like 3 to 1 adapter (idk what a adapter for fans is or means) from what I saw I think I need a uni controller, but you can only get it by buying a 3 pack of lian li slin fans, is there any other wya to connect them I dont think the 4 connectors will be enough for the way my fan is set up. also if I buy a pack can I use them seperately and how would they connect to the pc?

I have this case https://amzn.eu/d/74v61Zr The max temps on cpu is 68 C(during cinebench r24) and gpu remains between 74-82 (gaming 1440p max) . The gpu is msi ventus 2fans 4060ti oc. Ambient temps are around 18 C and during summer it will get over 42C. One of relative said that this much heat specially in summer will damage the components soon. My understanding is that modern components are really durable but I fear I might face thermal throttling. Also front panel is solid I don't think putting fan there will be much beneficial

It's intel i5 12400 stick cooler. I am not 100 percent sure it's from spu fan but it looks like that. Also this is the first time i have installed the new stock fan and my intel stock fan on i5 6500 didn't made this type of noise. VID_20231213_214649124.mp4

I have a CMP505 Cooler master that has 3 fans on the front. They do weird noises from time to time. I live near a highway so sometimes, when a truck goes by my whole shakes a little, so the pc sometimes shake as well. Today they made another wird noise, but then started to make some hard noise, never heard. So i turned off my computer, then turnet it on again but the noise continued so i just turned it off again. You can open the front of the case to see the fans, i opened and noticed 2 things, there is a lot dust bunnies and stuff there and the first and last fans are wiggly, so i put the front of the case again, turned on the computer and the 3 front fans didnt spin again. Then i turned it off again, took the front case off, tried to clean the fans, and repeat that more times. Sometimes the on button stop working. Its on the front of the case as well. I thought that maybe the fans disconnected, but when i put my finger on the center of the first and third fan, and push, they start spining normally. The second one doesnt work. Revised the bios and nothing out of the ordinary is going on there.... what could it be?

Just installed my new sapphire pulse 6700 xt and after sitting in the lobby on fortnite for a while, it started having what sounded like coil whine, which went away and turned into slight rattling. Should I be concerned? I've heard that you have to break new gpu's in and they'll make those noises, but i just wanted to make sure.

I recently got a used 3060 Phoenix, works flawlessly except for how the fan runs very loud - it seems like 100% - all the time. However, no software is recognising the fan (all say 0 rpm) -- This problem occurs after startup, --The fan works regularly (not like a jet engine) in motherboard BIOS, Safe mode, and after uninstalling the graphics card drivers. -- the moment any Nvidia graphics drivers are installed the fan instantly goes to jet mode -- when none are on the system it works fine. -- no software can change the fan rpm from 0 ( when fan speed is changed from 30% nothing happens) -- GPU is chilled at 23-27 degrees at idle -- I deshrouded and reapplied thermal paste and disconnected and connected the fan from GPU - the problem still happens Any help is greatly appreciated.
