Budget (including currency): >£5000 + Monitor £1500 Country: United Kingdom Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Kerbal Space Program 2, Space Engineers, General Gaming, VMWare, Visual Studio Other details: I find myself in the very lucky position to be able to build my Dream PC. Currently I'm running a thrown together machine, an i5 4670k, 2060, 16gb of ram. I'm aware this is a system build of bottle necks upon bottle necks. What i want to do is build something bullet proof, powerful, and future proof. My current system is earmarked for a TrueNAS replacement for my existing server. My plan is to basically start from scratch, and buy all new components. But as you can tell by my existing system, (which i still use everyday) it's been a long time since I last built a machine from scratch and with so much choice out there i'm looking for recommendations. Is a 4090 worth it? do i go team red or team blue? will i see a significant increase in performance with better ram? Thank you all for any help you can provide

The case So two cases I kind've can't choose between is the Antec Torque and the Cougar Conquer. I feel attached to the Cougar Conquer since it took me a lot of time to find it. (I first saw it listed on AliExpress and it got taken down before I was able to image search it. After some time I was able to find it again and I was really stoked to find it again. On the other hand I really like how the Antec Torque looks too and is a tad bit cheaper than the Cougar Conquer and is 1 rating point better on Amazon but both are equally cool looking to me. Cooling method Deciding on whether I should do Aio or custom water cooling. While I like all the perks of custom water I'm kinda intimidated by the maintenance process. I already don't have to much knowledge or faith in myself on building a water-cooled pc, let alone understanding and remembering the procedures and process on how to maintain one. It also seems kinda like a big hassle but I think if I knew how to do it I wouldn't be so deterred. Painting Eventually when I get my motherboard, pc case, and psu I wanna spray paint em. (or prob have someone else paint them for me cause while I've seen videos on how to do it I don't really trust myself to do it without fucking anything up. Also for Tamiya Color Polycarbonate spray paint do I have to sand my case and use a primer for Tamiya pain or can I just go in with the spray can. Also can I just commission/pay someone to paint the parts for me? I might do it on my own when I get my parts but... I also might feel more better to have someone else do it for me lol, I've been trying to look in different places but I can't find anyone that actually does so. Water block For the Graphics card I wanna get the Asus ROG STRIX WHITE OC GeForce RTX 3090 If I go the custom water cooling Idk If I should get the EK Water Blocks Edition of ASUS G-Force RTX 3090 water block or the Corsair Hydro X series XC& RGB White CPU Water Block. Coolant I wanna try to get pastel coolant so I was thinking about getting the EKWB EK-CyroFuel Premix Solid Cloud White and the EKWB EK-CyroFuel Red Dye and dying the coolant till I got a pastel pink color coolant I'm satisfied with but I don't know if that would work or what.

First post and first watercooling build. Coolermaster Haf XB EVO case, and plenty of leds. Will eventually post pics once i'm happy with the aesthetics i7 950 MSI R9 290 4gb twin froz in XFIRE 850 watt Corsair psu blahblahblah Just bought XSPC Raystorm w/ EX240 Radiator/750 Pump/Res, an extra XSPC RX120 rad and some cool fitting that I checked will fit In a few weeks to come, I will be buying the waterblocks for both of my gpus. Which brought me to question if the pump will do all this. After a bunch of poking around, plenty of people said that pump will not handle CPU + GPU, which I totally understand. My question is, what pump or even pump/res combo (preferably in a tube version) can I get to run in series with the pump that is in the raystorm kit. XSPC Raystorm w/ EX240 Radiator/750 Pump/Res KIT XSPC X20 750 (Black Revision 4) (Pump that comes in the res)
