I'm experiencing a glitch in darksiders 2 game.Right after I defeated Samael ,no chest appeared which contains the demon key.I accidentally went through the void through which i came and now I can't get through that void again.It is like an invisible wall or something.The game automatically saved so even if I exit the game and restart it,i'm stuck at the goddamn place although in map,the primary objective is still highlighted as defeat Samael. Any help or bug fix Url may be nice.

In my last review, I was suggested to maybe put the game's music in the beginning of the post, so I'll do that now, so you can enjoy it while you are reading. The introduction It's time. Time for an other review (sort of) from me. And this time, it's Darksiders II. This time I'm trying something new, I tried to highlight parts that are important, so if you don't want to read through the whole thing, reading these will give you the gist of it. Now the story with this one is that I used to hate spectacle fighters, although I never really played any except for the demo of Devil May Cry IV. But I just found it boring and didn't like the spongy enemies. A few years ago I stumbled upon a little YouTube channel called TotalHalibut. Ever since then I watched almost all his videos, including the WTF is.. Darksiders II video when it came out. And I liked what I saw of the game. But so much to buy it. Even though I heard it has a similar style as Legacy of Kain (which is one of my favorite series). But a few weeks ago it went on sale on Humblebundle, and I thought "what the hell, I'm sure it's worth $10, even if I won't like it that much". At this point I should say that I have not completed the game yet. It's a very long game, I'm currently 20 hours in and it's still going strong! I still have a bunch of side-quests that needs to be finished as well as the story! So this game has meat! And bones. Lots of bones. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. The story As I said, it has similarities with the Legacy of Kain games. I don't know how many people care besides me, but there you go. The story is grandiose, but the characters are not nearly developed as well as they should be. That said, the world the game is set is is so unique and so lively that it just sucks you in. I like games that have some kind of biblical connection (even though I'm not practicing Christianity), like the Darkness 2. This game takes place in a strange world, in an alternate universe where the apocalypse has dawned. War, a horseman of the apocalypse rode forth, though no call was given. He was charged with bringing on the apocalypse and therefore responsible for the extinction of the human race. Death, the second horseman knows this to be untrue, and aims to release his brother, by restoring humanity. Later on the story we see Death's demons resurface, his sins that torment him, and the consequences of his actions coming back to haunt him. This is as far as I'm willing to go, to avoid potential spoilers. Let it be enough, that the story is pretty good, but in the middle it kind of takes things back a notch. There are big chunks of the game when nothing really happens, and when something does happen it's very short. The visuals A big part of the experience are the visuals. The texture quality is not great sadly, but honestly, when I'm not looking at the screenshots that I took, I can't even see it. If you can't say Dishonered looks bad, you can't say that Darksiders 2 looks bad either. The visual style is just amazing. I've said before that the world is unique, but that is downplaying it big time! In these days, a game like this is a breath of fresh air! So many games have a boring setting, like the typical fantasy, or modern day era. This game takes you places that you want to explore. That you want to learn about. The colors are vibrant and the color scheme ever changing from the white Fjords to the green Baneswood, the lava filled Charred Pass to the eerie, green and grey land of the dead. A lot of times when I got to a new area I just slowed down to walking and just admired the place, looking around. The audio As I've said in my last review, sound design to me is very important. Luckily this game doesn't commit any cardinal sins. The general sound design is pretty good, the attacks have meat to them, there are some sweet sound effects. The voice acting is nice as well, not exceptional though. Nothing like Arkham Origins (and nowhere near Legacy of Kain's level), it's has some moments of brilliance, but even with than that, I'd say the voice acting is between The Witcher 2 (the better one) and Splinter Cell Blacklist (the worse one). The big problem with it though is that you don't get a lot of it anyway. There are very few conversations. Those conversations are pretty epic, don't get me wrong (Death vs. Crowfather was particularly great), but those are few and far between. Most of the times you will listen to Death grunting as he jumps or the sound of his horse's hooves hitting the ground. The music is great though, Jesper Kyd rocks it out of the park, as always. The gameplay And this is how we get to the gameplay. The game is made up of 3 major gameplay elements. Fighting, platforming, and bossfights. Why do I differentiate between bossfights and fighting? We will get to that. But first, let's talk about platforming. Why? Because the game has a LOT of it! The closest game I could compare it to is the Prince of Persia sands trilogy. We've got wall-running, jumping between walls, jumping to other walls, hanging on ledges, and also solving puzzles like in the PoP games. But here you also get some supernatural abilities. Death moves swiftly, like no man ever could, but along the game you get more gear that helps you traverse these strange lands. These involve a gun that helps you shoot little explody, sticky, spiky balls, something called "deathgrip" which is basically a grapling hook, intrediction that let's you summon dead lords at summoning portals, and more. These allow to keep the gameplay fresh, giving you a new toy to play with every now and then. But this also introduced something I despise, which is gear gating. That means backtracking to certain areas that you already visited, and getting into areas that were previously unaccesable. But hey, the game has fast travel, so it get's a pass for that. Fighing is satisfying, slashing through enemies with your double scythes, or your secondary weapon which can range from hammers to arm-blades, unleashing devastating combos.You also unlock "reaper form" pretty early on in the game. This let's you take on the form of the Grim Reaper, allowing you much stronger attacks and also greater resistance against incoming hits. The game has RPG elements, which means there is leveling, after which you can spend your hard earned skill points in two different skill trees and a ton of abilities, as well as having a loot system. You can get special items that are color coded (white, green, blue, purple, yellow and red). These can be new scythes, secondary weapons, talismans, quest items or some kind of armor. There are some pretty sick looking items as well, some crazy scythe designs as well as some cool looking armor, which help the game feel ever evolving. And then there are bossfigths. Maybe I'm putting too much emphasis on this, but there are story bosses, as well as optional bosses. And these can be brutal, especially the optional ones. It's all about learning the pattern, avoiding their attacks and hitting them when they are vulnerable. But these bosses are sometimes 10-15 times bigger than you (not to mention the end boss in the Forge Lands, which is this giant stone creature) and bringing them down is extremely satisfying. The verdict The game is far from perfect, but it's a great game. I love it, it's like someone took my favorite games (Legacy of Kain, Devil May Cry (although that's not my favorite), Prince of Persia,) and put them in a blender. This game has lots to offer, although sometimes it can get a bit boring and lonely with the scarce dialogue and npc interactions. But the game is a visual masterpiece. It does have a reputation for having problems on PC, but most of it has been fixed, I didn't have problems with it for a long time, then I had to change the compatibility to windows xp for some inexplicable reason, and now it loads up very slowly. It may be because I installed it on an other drive, not my main library, or that I installed something (Dark souls fix mabye?) that interfered with it, but other than that I didn't have a problem. Check up on it though if you plan on buying it. I do recommend it though, strongly! I hope this review was useful to you!
