Using my budget, I want my computer to perform well for at least 5+ years. Any other tips when building this PC. I have not bought the parts yet, only looking. (I find this very time consuming and more than frustrating and that Definitely needs to change.) My main reason for choosing this particular motherboard is so I can use both NVMe slots for different OS's Without sacrificing the main Graphics card slots I am looking to use at a later date and for the rest of the build I am considering this for future proofing for a few years at least. PPS: For Revisions, it should be noted that I prefer Little to No RGB components as I don't mind it but find it distracting, Quiet Air cooling Since the Difference in performance is nominal to Liquid, although again I don't mind that either it is just more liability if it goes wrong that i would prefer to avoid. Thanks in advance! Loona K

I'm planning on upgrading to the 5800X3D at the end of the year, and am worried about whether the other parts I have or am getting will be able to handle it. I'm planning on buying a new cooler since I doubt my Wraith Prism can handle it. I'm after a decent price, adequate cooling performance for the 5800X3D and a fan with blue lights to match the rest of my system. Here are the 4 I'm trying to decide between: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/r2H7YJ/arctic-freezer-a35-rgb-cpu-cooler-acfre00114a https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/fNLwrH/deepcool-gammaxx-gte-v2-645-cfm-cpu-cooler-dp-mch4-gmx-gtev2 https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/LBVBD3/antec-c40-380-cfm-cpu-cooler-c40 https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/NF2rxr/antec-a40pro-36-cfm-cpu-cooler-a40pro https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/VTqBD3/id-cooling-se-224-xt-basic-7616-cfm-cpu-cooler-se-224-xt-basic (with a blue LED fan replacement). I'm mostly interested in the Arctic Freezer A35, since I heard it can handle a 3900X and 5950X, and should be able to keep a 5800X3D below 90C at full load. I'm going to be sticking with my current case and motherboard: In Win 303 Will there be enough clearance for the cooler? There are 3 Cooler Master SickleFlow X fans installed: 2 sucking air in from the vent on the right and the other as an exhaust at the back. MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX: Will the VRMs be enough for the 5800X3D?

I would like to ask a question about upgrading my laptop RAM I have a Samsung 4gb 1Rx8 PC3L - 12800S 11-12-B4 RAM stick in my laptop (online for 33USD ) And I have found a Hynix 8gb 2Rx8 PC3L - 12800S 11 - 13 - F3 RAM stick online for a good price (online for 18.5 USD) my Samsung RAM stick is a single rank stick and has different timings than the Hynix 8gb stick , which is a dual rank stick I have no information about my laptop's motherboard specs, and if it supports dual rank memory or not, I only have the Model name (HP 80C1) , but I couldn't find valuable information about it online for some reason I also am not sure if the difference in timing is problematic Also, this is my first time hearing about Hynix, so I don't really know if they are a reputable brand since this is the cheapest RAM I could find on amazon so that does make me concerned my laptop has two ram slots btw and I do know that the max RAM my laptop supports is 16GB Based on this Crucial Page for My Laptop note: that same page recommends a dual rank RAM so that might answer my question about compatibility my motherboard probably supports dual channel but I'm not sure anyways, I have two options I might buy 2 Hynix 8gb sticks and take out my Samsung 4gb stick, which would be the cheaper option and would quadruple my ram Or I would buy the same stick I have (the Samsung one) I would pay more, and I would end up with only 8 gigs , but I would be a 100% sure about compatibility Sry if my question is not well written compared to others, but i would like some help with this situation if possible.

Before buying my pair of galaxy buds I checked some video on YouTube and found out that you had to download the galaxy wearable app(which I was able to do) and then it would guide you to install the galaxy buds plugin app, however when I searched for this app on the play store, it showed that it was Incompatible with my device (samsung galaxy m30s). So can someone confirm if I will be able to use that app which allows me to check the earbud settings and change them etc.

compatiblity iCUE, Asus Aura Sync, and EKWB RGB
Wizwerd posted a topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Hey everyone! Currently trying to find out if I can sync all my rgb to work from my iCUE profiles. In my current planned build I'm going to have an ASUS Z490 GAMING E mobo and I planned on going EKWB for the custom loop. I emailed EK support and they could only confirm that their RGB software is compatible with ASUS Aura SYNC. If I can control ASUS aura sync from my Icue profile then I should be able to control the custom loop as well right? Do I buy an iCUE commander and plug all the EK rgb into it in order to control it? or do i buy an EK controller and run it from iCUE? If anyone can answer this complex question that would be awesome! I'd rather not have to build my custom loop with Corsair if I didn't have to because I wanted to go with a distro-plate d5 pump instead of a pump from corsair. Also my GPU isn't compatible with Corsair Waterblocks, I'd have to buy one from bykski. -

I am thinking of building an used X58 Pc with the X5675. I see that TechYesCity got the P6X58D-E motherboard working with his X5675 but it is not on the compatibility list. Can the X5675 run on the Gigabyte X58A-UD3R? I saw a deal locally and so I want to check that these 2 works before I buy the motherboard.

I'm making a new build as soon as the aftermarket GTX 1070s are released and I'd like to know if all these parts are compatible and your overall ideas on the quality of the build (will it overheat etc.)-all untagged prices are from newegg. Oh and also, I'm installing a large HDD later. Thanks for any replies. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/nqhwr7

Alright. Let me tell you my backstory first. I was poking around Linus's videos as I do frequently. I saw the Zotac Zbox EN760 Super Tiny Gaming PC review. I got excited for mini PCs because I want the portability of a notebook but without the keyboard, trackpad, camera, and screen. I switch between my mom's and my dad's house on a weekly basis so I want to be able to put it in a bag and go. So I poked around Newegg for a ultra wide monitor, hybrid drive, and memory. I then saw the Zotac ZBOX-EI750-U. Which has quad core i7 and displayports.*Sigh* Alright. I went and found a different ultrawide since the EI750-U has displayports. I have now come up with this wish list. Everything seems to check out but I’m not 100% it will work. I was hoping someone with greater knowledge could double check for me. Thankyou! -UsefullPig https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.aspx?ID=28191885

Can anyone who's currently using Windows 10 tell me what PCI Wifi card they're using? I need to buy a replacement for a USB Wifi thing and I'd rather not have to buy another card in a few weeks if the one I buy now turns out not work in Windows 10. Am I likely to have more luck buying a Windows 8 compatible card or will that not make a difference? This is basically what I have to choose from.

Hey guys! I hope I'm posting in the right section. I am building a new gaming rig and I'm wondering if I have to do a fresh OS install or if I can just swap the drives into my new PC and delete all the old motherboard drivers. I know that it's SO MUCH BETTER to do a fresh install on a new build especially since I will be using a new mobo from a completely different manufacturer. However, I have some pretty big games that I really don't want to have to download all over again. If there's no way around a fresh OS install, how can I keep the installed games? As an example, one of my games is Assassin's Creed Unity. I know it has lot of haters, but I am an AC fanboy and I love it! If i were to download it again that would halt my gaming for at least one day. I REALLY DON'T WANNA DO THAT! Fortunately, most of my games I have the installers saved somewhere, but for ACU and Dragon Age: Inquisition they did not (to my knowledge) keep the game installers on my drive. Maybe I'm wrong and just don't know where to look. Any help is much appreciated! If it helps, my current board is Gigabyte GA-H77N-wifi and my new board is Asus Maximus V Gene. Aside from the graphics card (GTX 760), I don't have any extra hardware installed that isn't plug and play. Thanks! Have a nice day!

Hi, First of all, it's not an actual troubleshooting question, just a simple question because the "problem" itself isn't preventing me from playing any games. So I've been using Windows 8.1 for a bit less than a year now and I could play any games without doing anything special, but recently, I couldn't launch any of my games and I found out that setting the compatibility mode of the .exe file to windows 7 fixes the problem, are there any reasons for this to happen? It happened do games such as Dota, Diablo III, LoL, Skyrim, Hearthstone, SCII, CSGO, etc.
