Really?!? Could you do like a second of research?!? Now now wait a second what the hell are you talking about? Ok let's start this with a quick disclaimer. I know I am a huge pc nerd most of us are and Destiny 2 doesn't belong here yet. But this requires a post because I see no one talking about this. This is for the people that plan on playing Destiny 2 on pc and need to either buy a new pc or upgrade your current build. Ok let's start with the problem, Bungie didn't do their research for the specs on their This Week At Bungie. Ok what are you talking about they developed the game they should know the required specs. First of all DeeJ, the one of the only ones that posts the weekly updates, does not help develop the game to our knowledge he is just the Community Manager. Second of all they run the most balls to wall set up to develop the game on most likely all their pcs there I mean why wouldn't you. So they probably estimated the pc requirements. I mean it would require some man hours to be put in to get the proper and most accurate requirements, but why would you do that when you have basically your whole pc community asking for the requirements. I mean it would be good rep to release specs earlier but not if they aren't accurate. I mean most people won't notice because they just listen to the specs listed and go accordingly. It's one thing to release a proper estimate and another to just be pleasing the community. Ok so where did they mess up? Ok so I don't know how the game runs with these specs but what I do know is the specs that they use with and their respective brands. They did pretty good with the minimum requirement on the individual spec side but one thing that irked me was the 6gbs of memory and the overall build. I mean ouch way to punch the low end market right in the neck. I can already tell this game is going to be pretty demanding for both the CPU and the graphics card though so I guess that makes sense. But when you put these specs together into one system you get a pretty decent bottle neck. First of all the FX-4350 runs pretty slow overall sense you know your paying for the price of an AMD 2013 CPU I mean you aren't getting much. The intel CPU the i3 3250 runs pretty well with the 660 ti and little a minuscule bottle neck one of the only up sides to these specs even though it's a duo core. But the graphics card in the minimum are pretty reasonable the 660 ti is a good low end but if you want to run better and have no bottle neck for the AMD side of things you might want a HD 7950 instead. For the recommend specs let's start with the upside the graphics cards they recommend are pretty much toe to toe. You probably want a used 970 for best bang for buck but I won't get into builds here. The ram is good amount I mean anything above 8 gigs is for those multi taskers that like to run two games at once (which is bad for your components if you go to the extreme). And that's the good news. Ok now the gosh darn freaking stupid CPUs for recommended specs. i5 2400 vs Ryzen 5 1600x... what the actual fuck man. I sure hope this was a miscommunication cause if not Destiny 2 is going to run horrible for anything but balls to the wall set ups. Let's get the Ryzen 1600x out of the way it's a pretty great CPU in fact I use it but it's kinda overkill for gaming I mean 6 cores at 3.6ghz-4.0+ghz for gaming is pretty overkill for most games sense they don't use more than duo core rendering if Destiny 2 is going to be 6 or even 4 core rendering then I am hyped af. I think recommended should be a quad core at most so maybe the Ryzen 5 1500x might do just fine. But oh boy do I have a bone to pick with the Intel CPU. The i5-2400 is basically 30% worse than the 1600x and 20% worse than the 1500x. And this is where the nerd comes out... Let's start with what we are comparing here 1500x It has the same amount of cores but twice as many threads It is 32% more power efficient It has a better base clock and turbo clock It has better single core speed Better quad core speed Better multi core capabilities And here's the kicker released in 2017 compared to the i5s 2011 ancient release its lithography at 32nm is 56% worse than 1500x's 14nm I mean wow what a freaking difference. 1600x Don't even bother you know by logic it's even better in every way Bungie freaking compared these two as equivalent CPUs I mean really??? I know it might be better optimized for Intel but a CPUs from 2011 I mean there is no way if they didn't test bottle neck for their specs. I really hope they fix this soon(maybe they have and I have been to busy researching this shit). Let's make it clear that their recommended CPUs are a little messed up and shouldn't be followed with the little information we have on how the game will use the pc hardware and how well optimized it will be. In my opinion based on the minimum requirements and how this game might be a little intense to run I suggest the i7-6700k for best use out of that 970 if you want intel. TL;DR/Conclusion In short take Bungie's specs with a grain of salt as they are unreliable sense if you do some research your self you can see they are a little sketchy. Wait for better specs to be released on battle.net near game release or do a little research your self and look at other people's specs requirements based on the ones we got (a little correction here and there). So as the title suggests, I'm searching for some people to play the Destiny 2 Nightfalls/Raids with on PC (though perhaps it would be easier and save us some threads if everything is accumulated in here). Currently got a Hunter on 335 Light but have trouble progressing much further without doing the aforementioned missions. I'm also currently Leveling up a Titan and a Warlock from the ground up Also have a Warlock and a Titan on the sameish Lightlevel so I'm theoretically flexible about the class (if it even matters that much). Another thing to mention is that I'm in the CET timewise. Anyone interested feel free to DM me, or post requests in here yourselves. Thanks!

I've done some searching around and seems alot of laptop players having this issue. I am running a Alienware 15 R2 with 980M graphics card 8GB VRAM 16 GB DDR i7-6700HQ Windows 10 It should run fine it always has and even they released warmind game ready drivers youd think that would of fixed it but it didnt. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/244978295?sort=0&page=0 thats a link to a forum on bungie which bungie has not commented on at all. Any ideas?

Source I don't know how many people have been following whats been going on with Destiny, but a lot of hurt feelings have surfaced because of how Bungie has priced their newest content AND with how their community guys have handled their interactions, in particular with Luke Smith (you may know him from his Halo 3 days, where he was also a bit of a interesting fellow). Smith did an interview the other day with Eurogamer, and it was a disaster. The magazine answered all the questions that gamers had, and Luke Smith (and by extension, Bungie, as that is who Smith represents) botched every question, was condescending and quite frankly failed as a brand manager. PR firms have fired employees for doing less, I can't imagine that he will be employed as a front line employee at Bungie (if even a Bungie employee at all) for long. My real point of contention is the digital vs. physical game. The Physical game comes with A LOT of goodies, as expected in collectors editions. The digital game? Costs the EXACT SAME, yet doesn't have that additional content. This is like Europeans being asked to pay the same price in Euros as Americans do in USD, for no reason because Bungie/Activision didn't want to adjust the prices to account for regional differences and whatever else.

Hello all. I realize the LTT Forums are mostly 1337 Gamers and members of the "PC Master Race", but I also love to game on my PS4 and until Destiny comes to the PC, the PS4 will continue to 1-up my entire collection of games haha. I am on PSN as Jaydn_Blitz [sounds dumb i know but its just an alias i use on parts of the interwebs] and I have a Clan set up called the Wolves Of Steel [steel Wolf reference for those fellow MechWarrior nerds out there <3] http://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Detail/145155 I am looking for friendly people who like to talk a little shit and game until the wee hours of the morning :] I live on the East Coast of the USA and I work night time so my only real gaming time is monday night and wednesday night [the nights i dont work] and during the afternoon, like 1pm to 6pm, on any other day. Requirements: -Microphone plz for Voice Chat -Not a *complete* douchebag -No tryhards please. I'm a casual gamer and tbh, not that great at most FPS titles -I prefer people to be sober while playing but im not gunna tell you how to live your life lol Also though it starting to become cold and wintery here on the East coast, I do keep my A/C in the window right next to me while im gaming so..sorry DX Also I am totally cool with adding people to my friends list and playing non Destiny games [i have an XB360 and XB1 too] Friends make games better <3

Just thought I would have a little rant. With a new halo this year which has been entitled (At the moment) "Halo Xbox one" on their website, I see no hope for a PC release however I find this a shame since I wont be buying a Xbox one only for this new release and maybe one squeal before the Xbox platform looses its hold on the market (But that a topic for another day). I grew up with Halo, with the original Xbox, going onto the 360 until I realised that a PC gives a much much better experience than consoles. But what a shame halo is an exclusive. Halo is arguably the best and one of the most versatile game franchises that has ever been. But it was a mistake by Bungie and 343 Industries not to port halo onto PC. I am not talking about a brand new release going on to PC. A bit more like how rockstar has went about GTA 5. Even if they ported Halo 3 to PC now. Imagine what the modding community could do to halo 3 if they were let to edit it and get their teeth into the engine and graphics, like they have Skyrim. Giving the game the full graphical overhaul it deserves and allowing us, the gamers to play the game that Bungie wanted it to be experienced. The story behind all of the halo games is a masterpiece in itself but it is often that the graphical aesthetic of the game lets it down. I experienced this with halo 4 it seemed a let down, not because of the story but in the 5 years between the two games, I saw such a little improvement and I just expected more. (Sorry for using this example again) Skyrim, since its release its graphic has evolved so much that with these improvements it can still stand toe to toe with new releases which are orientated around graphics and story. If the halo franchise was allowed to spread onto the PC, I think it would enrich the experience that we would get from the game. Now i am not saying the graphics as important as the story but what I am saying, is if it were released to PC they would become better, and I did however think that when halo: anniversary was released with the "graphical overhaul" it didn't improve the game, I preferred the vanilla graphics because that is what I can remember from being a child. And many people will feel the same way. But i think it is an insult to us gamers that we should get a new release designed for a set hardware to render at 720p which is then up-scaled (correct me if I am wrong I don't really know much about the 360/Xbox one) to 1080p. When their are games out their that have been designed to push the limits of technology, which aren't even AAA titles. I doubt that the new Halo wont be full of story, and lore, and all the things that we love as gamers. However I do think that the graphics and limitations that the console brings to the table is something that us as gamers should have to deal with in order to play the games that we have grown up with and loved nor should having to buy an inferior technology. This is the genre that requires a lot of graphical input and user immersion, that only a PC can bring (Spyro on PC would be amazing with or without a graphic boost). And the bonus' that the PC gives a game is so important to a first person game. (Sorry again) Skyrim thrives on mods created by the community. Halo's forge gives so much versitlity to the online and this keeps the game going (at least on Halo 3) way after its release. Its this sort of community creativity boost that makes games so enjoyable. Starcraft 2 is a very good example of this its online becomes very monotone after a while of playing, however the creation tool that blizzard gave the community was so open and so programmable that it is what keeps the game alive between the expansions (Debatable). Something that Diablo 3 could do with, if blizzard opened up the random dungeon crawl engine as a tool to create independent community made quest lines i think the game would thrive. Halo Wars is the one game I would have loved to have been an exclusive to PC and designed for the PC as it was simply on the wrong platform. If it had released when it did for PC it would have enriched the RTS genre before the release of Star craft 2 in the next year. I don't think this would port very well now however as Blizzard raised the bar for the Sci-fi RTS genre to a very high height and any sort of port to PC would seem, a waste of money. I know how much people rant about this sort of thing and how annoying exclusives are so please don't slate me about how stupid this post is or anything, and the reason I posted it here instead of on the halo way-point forums or another halo community forum is because I most probably wouldn't have been heard as much as I am here (hats off to Linus) and If I were heard I would have probably been shot down by all of the fan boys of consoles, who know nothing about PC and would have probably received a comment such as "Gaming with a controller is much better than keyboard and mouse" and I would have most probably went into a rant with a prepubescent child, trying to convince him that you can use a controller with a PC.
