Hi, I'm planning to build my first pc, and so far I'm inclined on doing an amd build with a budget of 1000$ including the monitor. I just want your opinion on this, especially on things that I might have overlooked at, here it is: CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 GPU: RX 570 ( not sure if I'm gonna get the 4gb or 8gb of sapphire pulse, or go with other RX 570 manufacturers) OR...... RX 580 (problem is, this card is almost always out of stock here) MOBO: MSI B350M Bazooka or... MSI B350M Mortar RAM: 4GB x2 (8GB) G.Skill Ripjaws Storage: HDD: 2TB Seagate Barracuda SSD: Samsung 860 Evo 250 GB PSU: Seasonic 520W 80+ Bronze Monitor: LG 23MP68VQ Case: Rakk Anyag (local branded case here in the Philippines but basically a mATX case) Fans: 5x 120mm case fan (3 intake fan at the front, 1 exhaust at the back, 1 exhaust at top) So the things I'm so far not so sure at are the MOBO and GPU. What would you recommend for the GPU and MOBO?

This is my first question: How could I install windows 10 on a server using a hard drive with windows 10. I have been wanting to build a gaming pc and my price budget was going to be around £500. So my thoughts were to get either a ryzen 3 or 5, a gtx 1050 ti, 8gb ram, 500w PSU and a b350 mobo. Then my dad said that he's got some towers at his work that he could bring back. He brought back 2 computers. One of them was quite an old one but still working with windows 10. The other was an hp pro liant server that has an Intel Xeon 1230, 8gb ddr4, 350W PSU but as it is a server it was running windows server 2012. And the last thing is that the server has some ransomware on it so it is impossible to use windows server. My idea was to use the hard drive from the old but working computer that has windows 10 and put it in the server and try to boot off it. It has not been as easy as it seems. I have only really found one possible solution but it seems to be quite complicated as its using a remote controller for it but I'm not sure whether I could use it as I don't quite understand how all his steps are done. https://homeservershow.com/blog/hp-microserver/install-windows-10-pro-x64-on-hpe-proliant-ml30-gen9/ I think it would be possible but it could get very complicated so if you have any other suggestions please do give them. My second question: What I should and shouldn't use from the server to make it a gaming pc After I manage to get windows 10 working on the server I was thinking I would get a new case first and a 120gb SSD to store windows 10, chrome and some other important apps or games. Of course, I will be wanting a GPU but that will probably be one of my last purchases for the initial build as they're not cheap. I'm probably going to wait after Christmas for the GPU till I have more money and GPU prices hopefully will have gone down. I will be using the ram from the server and the cpu+heatsink but I'm not sure if I'll need a new mobo and PSU for when I get the GPU. Also, could I have recommendations on which GPU to buy either a 1050 ti or wait a bit more to get a 1060? I have been trying to perfect a $500 budget gaming build for weeks now - I've come to realize it's impossible right now. Whether it's inflated RAM or GPU prices, don't get me wrong, sure you can do it. But with what? An RX580 series GPU? What's the point? The whole goal is to allow entry level pc gamers to get away from console.. right now the brand new Xbox One X is $499. While it's unlikely to top the new Xbox with a $500 budget pc build, you can at least build one that is better than a PS4. The issue I'm finding is that once you factor in Windows, peripherals, and monitors - that automatically adds at least $300 to any build. So in that regard, it's safe to say it's impossible. However.. I went ahead and said okay, let's build one for $600 - $650 MAX - just the pc. I offer you all to participate. I am interested in seeing what you come up with!!!!! They currently have the i3-8100 for $109.99 while everywhere else is at least $119.99. As for GPU, any 4gb GTX 1050 or 1050ti is going to run you at least $200 right now. I think it's worth it over $149 - $169 for an RX580, at least you can go after 60 fps. Of course you want it to look cool.. I was able to go with a black and red theme - the case was $37.99 after a discount and rebate! PLUS it comes with THREE fans! So that saved a few dollars.
