Hi all, I'm about to replace my old Antec PSU with a better-quality 500W PSU, since I just realized that it would be too risky to use this Antec VP500P Plus PSU for the new RTX 3050 graphics card. PC specs: CPU AMD Ryzen 5 5500 GPU nVidia RTX 3050 8Gb GDDR6 RAM 2 x 16Gb DDR4 SSD 1 x M2 SATA 512Gb + 1 x SATA 500Gb HDD 1 x 5Tb SATA 7200rpm + 1 x 4Tb SATA 7200rpm USB 5 x 2.0 + 3.0 USB devices Fans 5 x 14cm case fans PSU Antec VP500P Plus 500W The PC is used for 3D and Unreal game engine, and it won't be overclocked at all. I've also checked several online PSU calculators with varying recommendation results, ranging from 308W to 369W, so I guess a 450-500W PSU will be enough for my needs. I don't have a plan to upgrade it to a higher wattage, at least for the next 5 years, unless it is absolutely necessary, because I need to save daily operation/electricity cost during the bad economy. After searching on my favorite online shops (Tokopedia.com and EnterKomputer.com), I found several options that are in my budget range (IDR 500k to 900k): 1. Xigmatek Xagatek X - Power III 450W (IDR 457k) https://www.tokopedia.com/maxcom-computer/xigmatek-xagatek-x-power-iii-450w-psu 2. Deepcool PF500 500W 80 Plus (IDR 524k) https://www.tokopedia.com/distributorpc/deepcool-power-supply-pf500-flat-cable-500w 3. MSI Mag A500DN 500W 80+ Standard (IDR 635k) https://www.tokopedia.com/jayapc/msi-mag-a500dn-500watt-psu-power-supply-500w-80-standard 4. EVGA 500BR 500W Bronze (IDR 735k) https://www.tokopedia.com/garudamegastore/psu-evga-500br-bronze-500watt-psu-evga-500-watt-500br-bronze 5. be quiet! System Power 9 500W 80+ Bronze (IDR 807k) https://www.enterkomputer.com/detail/157438/be-quiet-SYSTEM-POWER-9-500W-80-Bronze-Certified-3-Years-Warranty-Number-1-PSU-in-Germany Please give me some advice on choosing the best PSU within my wattage and budget limitations. I'm also open to other 450-500W PSU brands/types, as long as it's still within my limitations. Thank you in advance for your help. -Nubitol

Budget (including currency): $550 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Solidworks, Forza Horizon 5, Cyberpunk, etc. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): My current 1070 is starting to die out on me, and I'm looking to upgrade. My current build is in this link, but it has the video cards replaced with the two I'm considering replacing the 1070 with https://pcpartpicker.com/list/s2zJk9 (I know there's an error, that's just because I put both GPUs for clarity on the specific units I'm deciding between). I have a Corsair 450W Gold rated PSU and want to know if it would be okay to power either a 3060 or 3060TI. PC partpicker said I'd have some headroom with either GPU, but I'm not sure how accurate that is. I found the 3060 at microcenter for $379 and the 3060TI at Microcenter for $529.

Hey guys! I'm building a beast budget system and the components are as such: Ryzen 5 5600g, B450m-a II (supports cpu with a bios update don't worry), Crucial P1 500gigs, The ram will be 16gigs, ddr4, 3200mhz. Is 450w of power enough for this? I've picked out the corsair cv450 as a trusted company and a budget psu. I've always heard that I shouldn't cheap out on the psu. Is the psu ok for the system? I'll of course check on pc part picker, but i need to know how much legroom i should have for the components that i've picked.

The specs of the PC I am building are here below. I am wondering if the Power Supply I was able to pick up is going to be efficient enough for my computer to run properly or if I should return it to Newegg and wait for bigger wattages to come down in price because...all of the power supplies of higher wattages are a bit above my price range with the ones that ARE...are a lil bit iffy right now. Hi guys, I am not sure can the Corsair CX450M 450W Power supply handle Ryzen 1400 pushed to 1.3/1.32 V and Gigabyte gtx 1060 Xtreme Gaming 6GB also overclocked. Rest of the system is pretty usual with three 120mm LED fans. TNX

Hi, I got a deal on a used XFX 450W ProSeries so i have a few questions Is this a good PSU for overclocking even if it is tier 3 on the LTT PSU list? How far can i push the voltages on DDR2? Is it a worthy replacement of my S#!T-TASTIC 500W Psu that just died? Will Linus ever stop wearing socks and sandals?

Do you think it would be safe to run a GTX 580 on a 450w EVGA BT power supply? There are a pair of 580s locally for $30 each which is a steal, but I know they're notoriously hot and hungry. I was wondering if I could drop it into a budget build with a 450W or should I upgrade the PSU before attempting it? Cooling is not an issue. The CPU is a G4560 in an Asrock B250m Pro4. 1 stick of DDR4 2400, 2 case fans, an SSD and HDD. I feel like the ultra low power draw of the G4560 would make it stable but I'm not sure...

What is a good 450 watt power supply that is about 50-60 euro (Belgium). It needs to power a gtx 1060 and i5-7400. I was looking at corsair cx450m. Is it good enough. Are there other brands with better in a similar price range?

Processor: Ryzen 1600 (Will OC if my temps allow me to, I'm building an mini-ITX PC in a Raijin Metis Plus) Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB SC (Super short card). I was thinking of the Corsair CX450M(Grey version) I have checked the tierlist and now it's supposedly decent? Just wondering if 450W is enough? I will just slightly OC my processor, use 2 fans and 1 ssd.

hi guys im picking up a "used" zotac gtx 970 which is a brand new in box one from a rma and has a 3 year warranty. it is a dual fan "basic" model. im picking this up over a zotac gtx 1050 ti for a slightly higher price. the cooler is not the best but im pretty sure it will suffice. a slight concern is that im using a 450w power supply, specifically the fsp hexa+ 450w. this is due to my tight budget. im not too sure if it will be enough and will like to hear what u guys have to say about it. much appreciated

PSU : Corsair VS450 I checked on pcpartpicker and listed all my specs down. It said that my system requires 410W to work but my psu is only 450W. Can my system still run or do I need to buy a new psu with more watts?

Hey there, According to PC Part Picker, my build will use 359w. Is a corsair sf450w PS4 enough. Will operating near capacity on normal operation impact noise, heat, etc. Or should I splash out for the corsair sf600w PS4? Many Thanks RC

Hi there, I just ordered the following parts to upgrade my ~5 years old gaming rig: Ryzen 5 3600 (boxed) MSI B450M Mortar Max 32GB G.Skill RipJaws V black (DDR4-3200, CL16) As GPU I will be using a Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT Gaming OC and the remaining parts (250GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD, 2TB WD Black HDD, Sharkoon VG4-W case) will be used from my old PC. What I am unsure about is wether or not I should continue using my old 450W be quiet! System Power 7 Bulk Non-Modular 80+ Silver PSU. Additionally to the already mentioned parts I have a DVD ROM drive (yes, sometimes I actually still use that...) and an sd card reader. It most likely won't be ideal but can my old PSU provide enough power for all the components or shall I upgrade to something new? If so, what new PSU should I get? Regards, Chris

I want to upgrade my gpu (currently I have a GT-710), mostly for gaming at high(ish) settings 1080p /60 fps. I have an Intel core i5 4460, a Gigabyte GA- H81M -H (Pci e 2.0 x16), 8 gb ddr3 ram(2x4gb), and a EVGA BT 450W (link to build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XN6mNq ) -QUESTION: which GPU should I buy? I've been searching for prices and compatibilties (looking for something around 200-250 usd), and my 3 options are the following: (I'm from colombia , GPU prices are a little crazy here, I converted prices to USD (1 usd=3400 cop)) 1. Evga 1650 Super SC 4gb (210 usd) Based on EVGA's page, this card should work with my Mobo, but i don't know if I'm wasting DDR6 memory speed by using the card in a PCI e 2.0 slot instead of a Pci e 3.0 one. tarjeta-de-video-evga-1650-super-sc-ultra-gaming-4gb-D_NQ_NP_842829-MCO40193058929_122019-O.webp 2. RX 570 (4gb or 8gb) (191usd-232usd) I'm not sure if i need the extra 4gb for 20usd more, and if it's noticeable in performance at 1080, Also I've heard these cards run quite hot and are noisy, I'm ok with fan noise but the temp scares me a little. video-msi-radeon-rx-570-armor-mk2-8gb-oc-gddr5-1281mhz-D_NQ_NP_681131-MCO40635016653_022020-F.webptarjeta-de-video-amd-sapphire-pulse-rx-570-4gb-D_NQ_NP_623174-MCO40292870328_122019-O.webp 3.RX 580 8GB (235 usd) AMD recommends a 500W psu for this ( I have a 450 one), and 185W seems a lot compared to the 120W of the other options, also can this gpu be bottlenecked by my i5 4460 ? tarjeta-de-video-asus-rog-strix-rx-580-gaming-8gb-oc-D_NQ_NP_870830-MCO40193163963_122019-O.webp -I also looked for 1060 6gb and 1660 but prices are trough the roof (+500 usd), I couldnt figure out why, but they are too expensive. Thanks in advance for the help and advices.

Hello, I am planning on purchasing a gtx1660ti or an rtx2060 to replace my gtx1050. My system also contains these specs:Ryzen 5 260016GB 3200mhz RAMB450m-aI have found a 1660TI mini EVGA and an RTX2060 mini EVGA (has to be mini for my case size) for the same price of £260. However my limit is my CX450 PSU. I used a wattage calculator and I average at 339 WATTS with the RTX2060 however people say its extremely innacurate. Others say the minimum requirements (in this case, the RTX2060 is 500w) is exaggerated. I have no idea whether I should risk it and buy the 2060 and experience issues or buy the 1660ti without stress. FYI i will be playing at 1080p@60 at highest settings but i may use RTX for 2 games. However for many reasons, i will not buy a new psu. Please don't go in depth about the PSU and not come up with an answer. Finally, I dont have rgb, and i will not overclock. I use 1 250GB SSD and 1TB HDD if that helps. Thanks in advance.

Goodmorning guys, I'm not completely sure where to put my question so if the topic is in the wrong section my apologies. Since the release of the RX 5700 I've been interested in purchasing one. Currently running a RX 570 MSI 8GB and my current PSU is a Cooler Master MWE 450W Bronze. If I calculate the wattage with pcpartpicker it does say the PSU would be enough and I wouldn't run into problems however I wanted to ask you guys as a second opinion. What are your thoughts on this combination? Do I need to upgrade my PSU? Kind regards, Total PC specs: - Asrock B450M Pro4 - Ryzen 5 2600 - G.Skill Aegis 2x8GB - RX 570 8GB - Cooler Master MWE 450w Bronze - 2x Sata SSD

uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/kearnel/saved/Qz7sZL First build - do you think this PSU will do the job, or should I go for a 500W? I am not considering overclocking at all. (Also some mid tower case recommendations would help me out a lot!)
