I am somehow running a 3770k at 6.3ghz overclock. I without water cooling. With the MSI Z77A-GD55. With a Pad no paste. Single fan Deep cool 1 CPU fan. I been trying to find out why this is possible. I Have no issues with it at all. 500w system. CPU-Z does not get the see it. But the bios and Window 11 and 10 Task Manager see it. I am actually Having problem. With most program showing it. i DONT KNOW WHAT TO SAY BUT I WANTED TO DOCUMENT THIS.

I have 2 PCs having same motherboards "Intel DH67BL", the problem I'm facing is on the 1 of the motherboard's Intel Management Firmware Version. This is the motherboard that has the Intel Management Firmware Version which is 7.1.60.1193. And this is the 2nd motherboard that has the Intel Management Firmware Version which is 8.1.20.1336. Both motherboards have been updated to the latest bios which is BLH6710H.86A.0163. Since Intel has left providing support and drivers officially on their website, this bios and other versions of it can be found on this website: Drivers Search: DH67BL (softpedia.com) This screen shows up on that motherboard who has the Intel Management Firmware Version which is 7.1.60.1193 Upon going to the link: Update BIOS to Support 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ Processors, I've stumble upon the conclusion of updating the bios, which I did. I have updated the bios many times and even downgrading it to the previous version just to get that INTEL ME Version to 8.xxxxxx. But it isn't, any solution to this? P.S I was using a 2nd gen based core-i5 2500 on it paired with a GTX-750ti for sometime and 1 day POST screen wasn't coming up. So, I removed my GPU and plugged the monitor to the integrated one, the POST got shown.

What the heck is going on with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen Ryzen CPU’s always being scalped? 5000 series is fine on pricing, but especially with Ryzen 3 and 5, are being scalped the heck out of it. The 3300X, a $130 CPU, is $470!!! I am furious at this! Who would buy this, and why?

So I just bought a new CPU and installed it into my motherboard (changed the thermal paste and whatnot) and when I try to boot my PC it makes a continuous interrupted beeping sound. After some research I figured that this maybe an issue with the RAM although it is working perfectly after a reinstalled my old CPU. Hi, I just recently built a budget gaming and workstation system using a z77 motherboard with an i5 2500 non k and 16GB ddr3 ram. However, later on I want to upgrade the CPU to something beefier to handle my workstation tasks more effiecently plus the games I play like having more than 4 threads and are somewhat CPU intensive. I really don't want to move to a new platform so I am looking at LGA 1155 CPUs, specifically the i7s and Xeons since my motherboard can use either. Should I get a i7 2600 non K, i7 2600k, Xeon E3 1240, i7 3770 non K, i7 3770k, or Xeon E3 1240v2? I'm trying to find the cheapest upgrade that will last me a long time. Has anyone tried putting a 64GB KingSpec 1.8-inch IDE CF 50-pin in an iPod classic of any type and had luck with it? I have a 15GB 3rd gen with a failing hard drive and im looking to do the conversion. Any suggestions?

I did some light reading on installing 3rd gen CPU's in this motherboard finding hosts of people having issues. I loaded motherboard settings to defaults and BIOS 7201 and restarted. I went into BIOS again and set voltage to 1.35 and DRAM Voltage to 1.4 and restarted. Next I installed my 3800x. My computer booted right up! After running some initial performance tests I saw comparable numbers to other users with 3700x or 3800x. Awesome! So I go out to get the latest available BIOS 7403. I continue messing with settings and find that an all-core 4.4GHz clock speed is giving better synthetic results (Cinebench R20) than standard auto-clocking. I leave this alone as the performance is way better than my 2600X. So now I begin dialing in the RAM. I set the speed of my G.SKILL 3200 CAS 14 kit to 3600MHz at 1.45V. Success. I continue on to 3666 and it benches without issues. Now I have booted to 3733 and ran AIDA64 benches with success. What amazing leaps Ryzen has made. While this chip isn't overclocking in the classic sense... I am still having fun dialing in these results. If this is stable, I will attempt CCX clocking next. Some clear reports about the releases from AMD.... some reports that single core boost is still not there as amd confirmed fully functional bios version will be released some times later..... AMD navi release seems to got more attention than their cpu release.... beating rtx 2060,2070 and on par with 2070 and 2060 super respectively...even beating it in some games... Some youtube reviewers praised for this performance from navi cards ..and new choice for the 1080ti performance for $400 dollars.. Claiming rtx features against the navi cards are useles...cause rtx is at the moment is useless themselves for the rtx cards....only ti is somewhat deserved to buy for rtx gameplay navi cards are not paper launch and are available at micro center if you buy amd cpu ..you get EVEN $50 DOLLAR discount off of those cards. i say both CPU AND GPU release is a success for AMD SOME reviewers on youtube are falsely claiming that the navi cards are bad value....they are nothing but paid shills...dont fall for it..because super cards aren't worth the price...at the moment 3700x amd 3900x both destroy intel 9th gen cpus even at 7z zip compression test and adobe premierer pro rendering which was intels lead all this time 3700x is within 5-8% of all games tested of the 9900k....so within 5% is just margin of error...so still claiming intel is the KING of gaming does not value that much... 3600 geekbench single core is 5.6k and multi core is 28K-30K...with 4.3 all core boost. which is on per with 8700k at 4.9-5.0 Ghz... they are having problem with single core boost of 4.4-4.6 ghz

Okay so I will be building a pc in a few days and can anyone tell me which mobo would be better in the long run? I wont be doing any oc and both these mobos are the same price where I’m from msi b450 tomahawk max has a 32mb bios as opposed to asrock b450 steel legend having only 16mb I personally like the msi mobos but i read on a thread that msi mobos aren’t really reliable ?!!? This is my first ever pc build so ples help T_T -
Yo guys just got myself a Ryzen 9 3900x CPU a couple of weeks ago and I've been looking at its temperature these days. I know AMD usually has it's reputation for being really heaty and stuff but I want to be sure. Temps that I've been following: Idle: 50-60°C Ingame (League of Legends): 60-70°C, sometimes over 70°C I'm using the stock AMD CPU cooler that came together with the Ryzen 9 3900x which I recently heard isn't one of the best. Other things I can think of a reason for the heat is maybe changing the thermal paste with a better one. I've been thinking of getting a liquid cooler as I'm using a Mid-Tower NZXT H500i which doesn't have really good airflow. Do you guys think switching to Liquid cooling will be better or should I get a new, better air CPU cooler and maybe add a few fans to the front of the PC case? Will appreciate any ideas/opinions!

I am upgrading from a Ryzen 5 1500x to a Ryzen 5 3600 since it was bothering me that my laptop had a stronger CPU than my desktop (i7 8750h) and I have a couple of questions. 1. Is it better to reuse the wraith spire from my 1500x than using the stealth that comes with the 3600? 2. Is it worth it? I have a GTX 1080 FTW hybrid and my motherboard is an ASUS Strix B350-F gaming. 3. Can I overclock to 4 GHz? These may be stupid questions, I apologize in advance

I was watching the LTT video talking about the awesomeness of AMD Ryzen 3rd gen cpus and how is amd Favoring X570 mobo over and I saw in the charts of that vid this particular screenshot: So from what I understand If I put A Ryzen 7 3800X in my X470 mobo I'm going to be stuck with PCIe 2.0 x8??? please explain is this correct?

Just got my ryzen 5 3600 and did a stability test with Aida 64x and the max temp was 62 C with the stock cooler I was wondering if I can boost the base clock to 4GHz, if not, 3.8GHz with the stock cooler. -

Or the 3200g works on a320 Also I have some explainations The box of 3200g says 2nd gen so it'll work The 3200g uses zen+ instead of the new Zen 2 so it'll work

My current specs are: Ryzen 5 1600X B350M-A RX470 8GB RAM I upgraded my CPU and mobo only last year but looking how 3rd Gen performs it just makes me want to upgrade again but I don't know if it's really worth it or not. In comparison, I bought the Ryzen 5 1600 with that motherboard combo last year and it costed me the same as a Ryzen 5 3600X with a X370 Asrock Killer SLI combo. Should I buy it and is it really worth it? Also, I don't know if that motherboard is any good. I'm also planning in the future to change my GPU. It'd be nice to have a system that can last me 4+ years. Thanks!

Ryzen 5 3600 heating and not boosting

Hi all, thanks for your time, My new ryzen 5 3600, not an x, with a bequiet slim rock (tdp 160), is overheating. It reaches 90 degrees under p95, and every so often, it goes from, 40 idle to 60 in a bout a second for no reason. But when it isnt limited by thermals, like a game or light workload, it doesnt not turbo to the rated 4.2, and max is 3.95 which it never deviates from. on asus x470 prime, latest bios and corsair vengeance rgb pro, bequiet slim rock and corsair 550 watt psu, phanteks p350x with 2 intake, 1 exhuast, and two cpu heatsinc fans. TLDR: r5 3600 overheating, and has unstable idle (peaks from 40-60) Doesnt boost Temps accelerates incredible quickly. Cooler is on tightly. -
I changed my drive setting to ahci in bios and it bricked my motherboard, after RMA I bought an ssd but am scared to change it to AHCI. what to do? it is a gigabyte h61 ms -
Hey everyone, I have an i5 3570k and I wanted to overclock it so I found an Asus P8Z77-V Wifi I was wondering if it's a good Mobo for overclocking, I asked a guy in one of the local stores in my town and he told me it's not a good Mobo for overclocking and that I should wait until I find an Asus Maximus V Mobo which very hard to find and will be expensive for me if I find it, I'm now running my i5 on a Gigabyte P75-D3. So I'm kind a confused to upgrade my pc, even if I have to asap. as i use an AMD Athlon II X2 255 + 4GB DDR2 + Radeon HD5450 1GB ?? So without more sh#t talking, the main question is- Should I Wait or Not ? Please fell free to suggest anything.

Hi, so basically i want to buy a gtx 780 ti off craigslist for cheap because i dont do 4k gaming and i do 1080p and 1440p but i dont want to spend a whole bunch on the new 10 series when i could spend $150 for what i need. The card i am buying is a gtx 780 ti classified edition. I watched a tech quicke on bottlenecking and got worried about my pc specs bottlenecking the performance of this graphics card. My specs Are CPU: i5-3550 (3.3ghz quad core) MOBO: MSI H61M-P31/W8 RAM: 16gb g.skill 1333mhz dual channel cas 9 ram (i dont know the part number of the ram but that should be enough) PSU: EVGA 850w fully modular my game storage is stored on a samsung 850 evo 500gb ssd if that effects anything. I just want to know if my specs would bottleneck the performance of this graphics card. Thank you.
