So, I'm having this issue on my new omen 16 gaming laptop where if I play almost any game in Fullscreen on a non-native resolution (I have the 2560x1440 165hz display) it keeps alt tabbing out of the game to the desktop. I tried clean installing my Nvidia and intel drivers, updating the bios, updating windows, changing the "display resolution" to match the game's resolution and changing some Nvidia control panel settings, but the issue remains still. I did find out however that when I stop the "Windows Explorer" process from the task manager, the issue stops. please help me fix this issue 2023-06-02 23-45-03.mp4

Hi there! I need some help choosing an upgrade. (I currently have a Ryzen 7 5700X) So I am upgrading my gtx 1080ti fe to either: a rtx 3080ti fe (used for a year - 3 - 4 hours per week) , but can pick it up for around $500 after selling my 1080ti) or a new rtx 4070 fe (which would be around the same price) or a used 3080fe (4 months) I was wondering what might be the better choice. I heard that the 4070 has only slightly less performance than the 3080 , but it has DLSS 3, Frame generation and 12gb of VRAM (which i am leaning towards for VR and future proofing) Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in Advance!

PCPartPicker Completed Build Link Budget - $1300 Country - USA Build Uses - Gaming, Streaming, Video Editing, and Content Creation BUILD SPECS - Ryzen 9 3900X, NH-U14S, G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) 3200MHz RAM, 1TB 970 EVO, 2TB (2 x 1TB) 860 EVO, MSI RTX 2060 SUPER GAMING X, Corsair iCUE 465X RGB ATX Mid-Tower case, Corsair RMx (2018) 750W 80+ Gold PSU, Corsair LL120 RGB fans (3-Pack), Corsair ML140 RGB fans (2-Pack). CPU Idle Temp - 40°C, CPU Load Temp - 62°C, GPU Idle Temp - 37°C, GPU Load Temp - 71°C BUILD NOTES - The iCUE 465X RGB case was tricky to build in, for a few reasons. The bigger CPU cooler and the top case fans being really close to each other, made mounting the cpu cooler fans a little interesting. Ultimately had to make sure the PWM splitter was installed and set up first. The ML140 RGB fans for the CPU cooler were next to have their fan clips set up and cables routed above the motherboard. Finally the top case fans had their cables routed above the motherboard. Case fans were then installed first, and then the cpu cooler fans. BUILD DESCRIPTION - This is a personal build upgrade, and I use my computer for gaming, streaming, video editing, and content creation. I originally had the idea for this upgrade, after upgrading a relatives build last year. I also noticed that with the 2700X & 2.5” SATA SSDs in my previous personal build, I wasn’t getting the desired performance that I was looking for (both in gaming and video editing/rendering). I did some research on the new CPU’s, and looked at performance and everything. With pricing and availability what it is, I thought that it was a great time to get a 3900X, for a solid upgrade even in 2021. The RAM, storage (2.5" SSDs), GPU, and PSU were brought over from the previous build, with everything else being new from Amazon & MicroCenter. So far with this build, I’ve noticed much smoother and faster boot and shutdown times as well, thanks to the new CPU and the Samsung M.2 NVME SSD. The CPU fans are the ML140 RGB fans, and I have those connected to a sleeved PWM splitter that I picked up from MicroCenter. The RGB part is controlled by the included Lighting Node Pro and RGB HUB. The case fans are all connected to the Commander Pro and another Lighting Node Pro. Mounting and connecting all of the case fans was easy, but the cable management was a pain in the butt. If you mount these devices at the back of your case, cable management won’t be too much of a problem. I have the Commander Pro and Lighting Node Pro, for the case fans, mounted underneath the PSU shroud, so cable management was a little tricky there. Also, the front CPU cooler fan was re-adjusted after the photos were taken, as I noticed it was a bit crooked. In gaming, the CPU stays around the same as the usual load temps that I get with multitasking and video editing. I may repaste the graphics card however, as the usual load temps average around 58°C outside of gaming, and go up to 71°C in gaming. All temps listed are with D.O.C.P. (XMP) enabled, and PBO disabled. BTW I do have the Noctua NA-HC5 in the pictures, but I ended up not using it. Both didn’t see an ultimate need for it, and it would’ve also increased the Noctua cooler’s height to 172mm, which was not applicable to my case.

I've posted here before about how I felt that my GPU/CPU were underperforming and one of the problems people pointed out was that I had only one RAM stick. So I decided to just buy the same stick and have 2x16gb. Would you consider the increase in the 3dmark's score to be worth it? The RAM is 2X DDR4 HyperX Fury Black 16GB/3000 CL15 RTX 3070 I7-10700k MSI B460 motherboard

Hello all! My first time creating a post so I hope I’m doing this correctly. I’m looking at purchasing a new higher-end laptop for work and would love help choosing. This will also be my first actual laptop. I currently use an iPad Pro M1 with the keyboard cover for online work (email, documents, etc.) as well as to remote into my current rig when I’m not home which is used for my actual work (video/photo editing (Adobe), 3D animation (some in After Effect/C4D, but mostly in Unreal Engine), motion graphics (After Effects), and music production (Presonus Studio One). On top of my old rig needing an upgrade, as you can image, there are many problems with this setup as well. Therefore, I would love to get the best of both worlds by purchasing a new, higher-end laptop. I attached a Newegg comparison chart, hopefully y’all can see it. At first, I looked at the new Gigabyte Aero 16 and Aero 17 and figured I only have to choose between the mini-LED and the OLED displays (thoughts on that as well would be appreciated). However, I later looked at the TDP of the 3080 Ti on the laptops and saw that it was a bit low at 105W max. I then found the MSI Raider GE76 and found that the TDP of the GPU is 175W max. Not long after, I found the Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 at 150W but for ~$1k cheaper. Why is it ~$1k cheaper other than the CPU being the 12900H vs the 12900HK? My laptop preferences are: - Amazing, color accurate display for content creation - OLED or Micro-LED would be absolutely lovely! - Intel i9 12900H(K) - is there much of a performance difference between the 12900H vs 12900HK? - 3080 ti & 16gb GDDR6 with a higher TDP - battery life is almost irrelevant; sound isn’t a big deal either as I mostly use headphones or have loud music - 32gb ram that’s later expandable to 64gb. - Expandable internal NVME storage would be nice My budget is around $4,200, but I am willing to go up to $4,500 if it has everything I’m looking for. For example, I’m willing to pay for a better display. On the other side of the coin however, I would also love to save money if the sacrifices are worth it. For instance, if the Scar has similar performance to something that is $1k more and the only difference is the worse screen, I’ll simply get an external display for color grading at a later date. If there is another laptop that you can recommend, I am all ears. Thanks for any help and suggestions! Laptop Comparison.pdf

Hello guys! So my problem is that my Warzone uses 80% of my CPU and only 54% of my GPU. I have around 100 FPS and I think thats kinda low. I am rocking a 144Hz monitor with G Sync. Are there any possible fixes for this issue? Or is this some kind of bottleneck? Or just the game engine is simply trash? Btw. I am not running anything in the background when I am playing games only discord and game launchers. My setup: I5 10400F 4.0GHZ on all cores with BFB enabled. 6-cores 12-threads with a Arctic 34 esport duo cooler ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 3060 TI 32GB RAM 4x8 sticks in dual channel 2666 megatransfers/sec CL13 m2 drive 256 for windows and apps. 1tb samsung qvo ssd for games. 1tb seagate hdd for personal data. AsRock B460M Pro4 mobo. 550W Corsair CV550 a lot of RGB vomit. Asrock B460M Pro4 Performance Results - UserBenchmark Thank you for your time!

i play at 4k ultra when i can and ive heard that upgrading to 32gb of memory might be worthwhile. will i actually benefit or is it just nonsense? i already have 16gb 3600 ram (Corsair Vengeance) will adding another pair of 8x2 16gb of ram worth it? or is it better to get a 16x2? also will my motherboard (asus tuf b550 mobo) be able to run 8x4 memory at 3600mghz? (i use xpm to get the full speed)

Looking at the spec of my Motherboard (the ASRock A88M-ITX/ac) it suggests it can support up to 32GB RAM, but there are only two channels. It only supports Non-ECC RAM but unless I look at unbranded RAM, I'm struggling to find anything that might allow me to use the max RAM on my board. Unless I'm completely misunderstanding something?

For past 5 -6 months i have not been able to do much on my system at most i can play low spec games like league of legends, halo reach, overwatch etc. I am not able to play newer games higher spec games i get too frame skipping/stuttering in games and is unplayable in between the frame skipping/stuttering the is mostly smooth and this will happen about 70 - 80% of gameplay. my system is almost 2 years old was sent to get fixed from a blue screen 3 months ago and was returned to me in the current state, i have been slow with getting it looked at and with current covid 19 issues i am current unable to do so. My AIO pump revs up loudly whenever running games. here is a list of fixes i have already tried/looked into. Updating any all drivers, windows. Resetting windows Enabled/Disabled xmp (dont think its ram anyway) , changed ram slots added extra case positioned near cpu, all parts cleaned of dust enough space on both ssd and hdd virus scan/removed suspicious programs lowered all graphic settings in games, changed nvidia control panel settings for performance. My build . CPU: Intel i-7 8700 3.20GHz . Motherboard: ASUS PRIME Z370-A . RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32gb ddr4 . GPU: Inno 3D Geforce GTX 1080Ti 11gb . PSU: Thermaltake 850w . AIO: Cooler Master MASTERLIQUID 240

Hi everyone, It's been 6 years since I built my first and only desktop, so I could definitely use some help. I want to build a machine that allows me to max any (or almost any) game at 1440p and maybe even go 4K at some point. I like gaming in a TV from my bed, so if you have any advice to make in home streaming, it would be very welcome. As a photography enthusiast, I'm also planning to use it regularly for adobe photoshop and lightroom, and if someone knows of a practical way to use a laptop with pen input (a surface book) as an input device for the desktop (like a Wacom tablet) it would be also great. I want this to be as futureproof as posible, I would like it to keep up 4 to 5 years from now. My budget is around $4.000 USD PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i7-6800K 3.4GHz 6-Core Processor ($428.99 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: Corsair H115i 104.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($124.99 @ B&H) Motherboard: Asus X99-A/USB 3.1 ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard ($229.99 @ B&H) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LED 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($229.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 950 PRO 512GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($314.99 @ SuperBiiz) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($304.99 @ Best Buy) Storage: Seagate Desktop HDD 4TB 3.5" 5900RPM Internal Hard Drive ($116.94 @ Newegg) Storage: Seagate Desktop HDD 4TB 3.5" 5900RPM Internal Hard Drive ($116.94 @ Newegg) Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 1080 8GB ROG STRIX Video Card (2-Way SLI) ($649.99 @ SuperBiiz) Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 1080 8GB ROG STRIX Video Card (2-Way SLI) ($649.99 @ SuperBiiz) Case: Corsair 760T White V2 ATX Full Tower Case ($177.99 @ Best Buy) Power Supply: Corsair RMx 1000W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($149.99 @ B&H) Case Fan: BitFenix BFF-SPRO-P14025WW-RP 122.2 CFM 140mm Fan ($16.99 @ SuperBiiz) Case Fan: BitFenix BFF-SPRO-P14025WW-RP 122.2 CFM 140mm Fan ($16.99 @ SuperBiiz) Case Fan: BitFenix BFF-SPRO-P14025WW-RP 122.2 CFM 140mm Fan ($16.99 @ SuperBiiz) Keyboard: Corsair K40 Wired Gaming Keyboard ($59.99 @ Corsair) Mouse: Corsair Sabre RGB Wired Optical Mouse ($39.99 @ Corsair) Other: Geforce HB SLI Bridge (for 1080/1070 cards) 2 Slot ($59.99 @ Amazon) Total: $3706.72 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-11-06 08:06 EST-0500 I would like to Overclock the CPU (I've read 4.2Ghz is a reasonable goal with the 6800K), use the 512 M2 SSD as boot drive, the 1TB SSD for games and current photo work and the 2 4TB HDD mirrored for archive. But, I have some questions: -are 2 1080's an overkill for 1440p? would it be better If I put that extra $700 in a 6950X or those 4 extra cores would go underused anyway? -I've read that PS and LR are not great making use of more than 4 cores, maybe an overclocked 6700K would be better? (and save me like 400 bucks in MOBO+CPU) -Are this MOBO and the 28 PCI lanes of the 6800K capable enough for 2 Graphics cards + M2 ssd? -I would definitely appreciate some advice about aesthetics

Hi guys, i am a student and i basically need a laptop, so i am thinking of selling my desktop gaming pc and i was wondering what would be the total price of it. I built it myself and here are the specs. Gpu: GTX 1080 Cpu: Xeon E5 1620 v2 Motherboard: P9X79 Pro Ram: 32 GB DDR3 Ram (8x4GB) Psu: Corsair 650w Case: Phanteks P400 SSD: Samsung 512GB 850 PRO HDD: 2TB Standard HDD 7200rpm So what price would you put on it if you were to sell this thing?

As concluded earlier, (in my profile there was another discussion earlier this week) I've desided to build a sff pc with components mentioned in the title (rtx 2080 ti, intel core i9, 32gb ram). So with that in mind can you drop down suggestions, on which case and which components can be used to make a tiny pc (EXcluding the sentry 2.0, since you cannot buy it any more!). Please provide builds, ideas, and other P.S money is not an issue Thanks, much appreciated)

My last pc in which Im looking to sell is a water cooled fx 9590 on the crosshair v formula z motherboard, 4x8 Gb DDr3 at 1600 Mhz, strix gtx 970, 240 Gb ssd and a 3tb hdd. The case is none to asthetically pleasing, with an acrylic side panel and 2x120mm fans and no rgb. Im not looking for a buyer at this moment, but rather a price I should shoot for in selling the build (I was thinking $300). In addition, I could include 1-3 ~18" monitors, and how much more could I sell the build for if I included them? Thanks, any opinions appreciated

Please help. Building my first gaming pc and Trying to choose a graphics card but there is too many to choose from. I’m using i7 9700k and motherboard is a gigabyte Z390 Aorus master. Was going to use 32gb of ram too. Don’t want to buy an expensive or cheap one just looking for a decent one that would be the right fit for everything. And is 32 gb of ram overkill??? I want to edit videos as well as gaming thanks heaps

I’m currently building my pc and choosed i7 9700k cpu with a gigabyte Z390 Aorus master atx and also 32 gb of ram I don’t have a gpu yet but Been hearing that I should get a 650 psu I don’t want the worst or best one but I want one that is good in general not extremely noisy but average is good. Any one recommend a model??? Live in Australia to so looking to spend around 150ish??? AUD but flexible

this is the new build by yours truly, im sticking with the evo 970 m.2, as im merely indecisive. if you all have any ideas, cheap or just the tiniest bit more expensive (as this is meant to be budget for its power). see the clickable text below below for the build. //PCPARTPICKER BUILD//

Has anyone tried to install more than 16GB on a toshiba satellite s55-c5274 with a Linux distro? On a previous subject, I found this topic that 8GB RAM was possible on an ASUS laptop with Linux installed. So happens to be that my wife's laptop is this very same one with Deepin OS (Linux distro) and we were able to double the RAM capacity even if ASUS's website said only 4GB. Before I go running out and purchasing 2 x 16GB RAMS, I was curious if anyone else has tried this before. I have Deepin OS as well installed. Any help is appreciated!
