Am looking for a monitor that I will be using for gaming, editing and amatuer photo editing. So I am looking for an IPS monitor around 23". Hopefully something can be found that is under £150. Ive been looking around for a while now but I cant seem to find one that is my outright favourite. Keep in mind that I plan to purchase 2 of them and then later on purchase a 3rd to create a triple monitor setup. Any help is welcome

HI, I'm looking for a replacement monitor that is 1080p, 'frameless' and at least 23". At the moment I'm looking at the 23" AOC I2379VHE here but as I have little experience shopping for monitors I'd like some feedback on whether I'm making the right decision or if I should pick something else. Thanks.

So I have a Samsung SyncMaster P2250 currently. It is a 21.5" inch 1080p 2ms LCD Display and is it worth it to upgrade to a ASUS VX239H 23" inch 1080p 5ms IPS Display? After using phones with IPS Display I fallin in love with it. The wide viewing angles and the vivid colors of a IPS display is making me want to upgrade my old LCD monitor.

Hey everyone. When i was looking at options for AIO's for my last build, i stumbled upon this neat chassis. I did not get it because i settled with a normal case, however, this is the only AIO i would consider getting. I want to share my findings with the community It comes in 3 sizes, 21, 23, & 27. The 21 inch chassis costs only $280.Sure it looks a little bulky, and not quite as flashy as MSI All in one's, but it looks clean enough for me and its much cheaper. Thoughts? Does anyone here have any experience with an AIO's meant for this kind of hardware? Here is the website for more info. http://www.quietpc.com/mono-aio I would love for Linus to do a review of this.

I am looking to get a new monitor for my gaming pc, but am stuck between these three. I don't play many fps games, and none on a competitive level, so idk how much a low gtg speed will really be noticeable. I would like a monitor that has good color reproduction an viewing angles, so I was leaning towards an IPS monitor, but upon looking at these monitors, idk how to tell the difference if any in color reproduction, as they all say they have a 50,000,000:1 contrast ratio and have 16.7 million display colors, as well as having at least a 170° (H) / 160° (V) viewing angle. On top of that idk if the difference between 23" and 24" is noticeable to justify the leap in price. Any and all help is much appreciated ! 23" ips 5ms gtg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236288 23" unknown 2ms gtg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236175 24" unkown 2ms gtg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236153

I'm giving up on trying for my 27" triple monitor setup. The only 27" monitor with slim enough bezel to not affect gaming, VESA mountability, and 1440 for high resolution was the ROG Swift $799 x 3 = $2,397. (1080p looks horrid on any monitor over 24"). So, after giving up on that pipe dream, i'm looking for the same type of setup in 23"-24" monitors. I'm looking for slim to no bezel monitors with VESA compatibility. That's really the thing i'm interested in the most. I'm want to pay around $299, but if it's a good enough monitor i will go up to $399 - $449. I do not want to go with a TN panel due to having to look straight at it; that would make it very bad for surround gaming. If it matters, i'm looking to mount them with arm mounts for much better utility. Thanks guys, ~Shark

so yea pretty much the title. Is the Acer H236HLbid a good monitor? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009483&Tpk=Acer%20H236HLbid%20Black

Hi guys, I'm looking to get a new 23-24 in monitor. I really like the look of a glossy monitor, and I'm not too concerned with the glare that I may or may not have. What are some of the best monitors with a glossy panel that don't cost an arm and a leg? Thanks!

I will be building a new gaming computer some time next month (4770K, 780/770) and an currently looking at a new monitor as an upgrade from my cheapo 18.5" 1366x768 monitor. I was looking through the sales on NCIX when this monitor caught my eye: http://bit.ly/18AsyG9 and I was wondering if it would be a good decision. It looked great right away, but if you look at real pictures of it the bezel is actually not that narrow. I haven't seen any reviews of it, so I figured I'd ask the forum. So, what's your opinion on the value of this monitor?

At a forum that I use to go, I received a huge testament just because I recommended a 27" 1440p monitor to a guy that will make 780ti SLI. He is always attacking 1440p and higher resolutions than 1080p, and saying the same things. So, what do you guys think of this? I will quote (I used google translator, sorry for the bad english ) : " You have 2 monitors, one 1440p 50 " and 22" 1080p . You think you have a better definition on the 50" monitor only because it has more pixels ? ... An even more extreme example ? A 1440p monitor that occupies a whole wall , 4m by 2.5m ... you still think you'll have better quality / definition Photo ? Resolution is different from definition or image quality, The 1440p as recommended by someone , may not actually have better quality / definition than a 1080p one , may simply have a larger screen with a higher number of pixels to render. You just have a better definition 1440p monitor when the number of pixels per cm2 is higher than on a 1080p display, or if the pixel size is smaller. To give you an idea, an 1080p 21.5" monitor is roughly the same size in pixels of a 27" 1440p monitor. If the pixel size is identical , you have approx. the same number of pixels per cm2, therefore, the image resolution that both present is similar, except if the larger monitor has features that allow for a higher quality image, of course , but that has nothing to do with the resolution . Therefore , saying that it is better to play with medium details at 1440p than everything maxed out at 1080p, overcomes the barrier of reasonable. I believe you have never done the test , otherwise you would say no such thing ... A good 27" 1440p monitor does have better definition than a 1080p 24 " , but this difference is similar to the difference between a ~ 22 " vs 24 " monitor . If they are both equal , have the same characteristics , the smaller monitor is slightly better because pixels are smaller, therefore, larger number of pixels per cm2 . Like 27" has an equivalent definition of the 22" one , the 30" is similar to a 2560x1600p 24 ~ 25" 1080p . If running 2560x1440 pixels on a 24" monitor, that would result in a much more defined image, but still a game at medium would always look worse than other in Very- high at 1080p ... I dont have the least doubt . Now , with less than 300 € purchase yourself a 120 or 144Hz monitor, these yes, apparently they are ideal for games and there are considerable differences in the fluidity of play, which is what the picky gamer want . For 200~250 € you already buy great 23" 24" monitors with IPS panel, and I believe this are the best ones for being one meter away from the nose. Not only will you save a lot of money but also you will have the best graphic performance for longer ... This resolution is very heavy even for a GTX 780ti . Make no mistake , even the GTX 780ti is not able to present a satisfactory rate of frames in the most demanding today's games on a 1440p monitor ... and that already lets guess what is coming for the next 2 or 3 years! (even worse) for 200~250 € you already buy great 23" 24" monitors with IPS panel, and I believe this are the best for being one meter away from the nose. As for the nose, this is it: most of us spend most of the time within 1 meter away from the monitor, and for this distance, a 24 or 25" monitor is ideal. Ultra HD monitors ... not worth talking about them as there is no hardware for them. " by an artist named "Maxw3ll" at some forum

The title says it all, is the Dell S2340M a good monitor? I would like to replace my 19 inch acer monitor with a newer monitor but not to sure on what one, i know it has a 7MS response time and that can get pretty bad for FPS gaming but is the color good? What would you recommend in the same for around $160 (Newegg is on sale for it)

Hi guys, So I am beginning to look around for some monitors for my gaming setup (not Eyefinity), and I am planning to go 1080p this first go around (4K once the monitors come down in price/can handle 60FPS). I was wondering what everyone's take on 23" VS 27" was and why (as the title says). You might say "Why even consider 23"?", and the reason is simple: Pixels Per Inch (PPI). However, I do not know the difference enough to know which would be preferred and if the difference would be noticeable. Considering 23"s are cheaper, that is another plus. Understand where I am coming from. I have been using a 42" Sony Bravia 1080p 60Hz TV as my primary gaming and computer monitor for over a year. PPI sucks here. Horribly. Input lag is not so bad, it is noticeable but not game breaking. I chose 23" VS 27" because 23 is where most of the smallest 1080p monitors are while 27 is where most of the largest 1080p monitors are. Those are the smallest/biggest sizes of monitors that still have variety in brands, from what I have seen. I could be wrong, but that is what I have found so far. So, what is your input? Thanks, Vitalius

Just wanted to quickly show a great deal on this AOC 23" monitor at a very good price of: £69.91 (at the time of writing!) Unfortunately, it's only on pcworld.co.uk, which means that it is only available to people in the UK. It's a great monitor, with a response time of 5ms (average), with VGA and DVI inputs, and it weighs a sturdy weight of 5kg. Since I'm building my new computer very soon, I'm about to order three of them. Good luck! http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/monitors-and-projectors/pc-monitors/aoc-e2343f-ultra-thin-full-hd-23-led-monitor-07677510-pdt.html

Hi guys, In Catalyst Control Center, the monitor's listed maximum refresh rate is 75Hz. However, I only have the option for 25-60Hz. I've tried looking around, but strangely, Newegg, Amazon, and other e-tailers don't list max refresh rate. Unless I'm just completely missing them. Best Buy lists it as such: Why is it a range from 50 to 75? That confuses me. Can I have 75Hz refresh rate? If so, how do I set it such that it will actually use it? I'm using Display Port currently with a 290X. Thanks, Vitalius @Glenwing, because I know you know Monitors.

Hello, I've finally decided to upgrade my 5 year old 18.5" Acer LCD monitor to a 23" LED IPS one. I tried to limit my options to what the stores near me have in stock. Also note that I live outside the US and/or Canada so online computer stores are no go. My budget is probably around US $220 converted from my local currency. Not sure if that's enough for the kind of monitor I want. I don't know much about monitors but these are what I would like the monitor to have and what I'm gonna use it for: A.) I want the screen to be glossy and not matte. My current monitor has one and so does my laptop. I've grown accustomed to it I guess although it's a feature I could live without if there isn't much difference between a glossy screen and a matte one. Oh and I don't need built in speakers, I'm a headphone user. B.) 23" 16:9 as the title says and I've read that 16:9 aspect ratio is the standard. C.) I'll mainly use it for gaming(online and singleplayer), the usual Internet viewing, some movies, programming. Nothing serious like video and/or photo editing. It has to have input ports for DVI-D, HDMI or VGA/D-SUB I've searched some monitors but can't decide between them. The first monitor I saw was this Asus 23" VS239H-P (https://www.asus.com/Monitors_Projectors/VS239HP/#specifications). It fits what I want except for the glossy screen I think. It's available in a store in my hometown which I am not currently living in right now so I can't go check it out and ask the price but probably within my budget. My cousin also had his eyes on this but he said that there were bleeding on the corners. Forgot to ask if he read it on a forum or if it was the floor demo in the store. A different variant of the 239H is the VX239H(http://www.asus.com/Monitors_Projectors/VX239H/#specifications). The specs are mostly the same but it uses AH-IPS which, based on the Wikipedia article on IPS, is the latest tech from LG. It's priced around US $190 converted. The third monitor that caught my eye is one that Linus himself reviewed in the past the; Acer H236HLbid(http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model-datasheet/UM.VH6AA.003). The thing is I haven't seen any stores that sell these where I live but I'll keep looking. It also has the glossy screen I like. A possible fourth choice is an LG 23EA53V(http://www.lg.com/ph/monitors/lg-23EA53V). It's what my cousin bought as an alternative to the VS239H-P. Priced also the same with the VX239H. Personally I prefer the Acer one just because of the glossy screen but because it doesn't look available here I could settle for the other 3 monitors I found or if you can suggest others fitting my needs which I will also check for availability. Thanks.

Hi, I have been looking for a 1920x1080 monitor for quite a while now but a cannot seem to decide or find the perfect product. Most Suitable If: 23"/24" screen. 1920x1080. Display Port/DVI. (Possibly HDMI not too bothered though) Quite a thin bezel. LOOKS GOOD (I don't care how good it is I won't buy it if it looks ugly ) Not bothered on the panel. £200 or less I have found 2 that I quite like: http://www.amazon.co.uk/MX239H-Widescreen-Multimedia-SonicMaster-Technology/dp/B00A4K9KVG and http://www.amazon.co.uk/PB238Q-Widescreen-Multimedia-Monitor-DisplayPort/dp/B008J77WDO Thanks

Hi, I think I've narrowed down my monitor choice to 3, the AOC I2369VM 23", Dell U2212HM 21.5" and the Dell U2312HM 23". Does anyone know which would be the best? I'm sitting about 2' away from my current 20" monitor so would the Dell 21.5" be a sensible option(or would it be too small?), or should I pay a bit more and get the Dell 23", or pay less than both and get the AOC? http://www.ebuyer.com/484462-i2369vm-23-ips-led-1920x1080-vga-2x-hdmi-display-port-mhl-speakers-i2369vm http://www.cclonline.com/product/66391/U2312HM/Monitors/Dell-UltraSharp-U2312HM-23-58cm-LED-Monitor/MON0528/?gclid=CNjKhc68jLsCFWzItAodhzEAQA http://www.ebuyer.com/281386-dell-ultrasharp-u2212hm-21-5-led-monitor-u2212hm Thanks

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009483 The monitor that was on sale for Black Friday for $129.99 has come back at the same price for a Green Monday event. The deal is today only so grab one while you can. It's a great IPS panel with a slim bezel and a pretty neat brushed aluminum-looking stand. Although the Green Monday event is over, Newegg has done is again by renewing the sale with their 'Holiday Savings' event! Linus's unboxing and first look:

I want to do 3-way monitors for gaming and I need some new monitors. I want something with a nice, thin bezel, 22-24", IPS and preferably under $200 each. I know of the AOC i2367 monitors (of which I have 2 of) but the bezel is bullcrap. Also, many of the Acer and ASUS monitors marketed this way are also a lie. I know that my current graphics power couldn't handle such, but I will be upgrading in the future.
