Budget (including currency): $800 US currency Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: RainbowSixSeige, various games like Lethal Comapny and Raft, minecraft Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I do not have a parts list but he needs a monitor, mouse and keyboard. We are going to buy relatively soon before christmas. He is upgradign from a PS4. We are not picky about refresh rate and just want it to be smooth. 1080p is fine. He also does not have a lot of space.

Budget (including currency): $800 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft, Forza Horizon 5, Game Development, and 3d Modeling (not super important). Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I just need a parts list that follow this, I am hoping to run these things smoothly without choppy/laggy experiences. As well, I need at least 16gb of RAM. EDIT: I don’t really want anything RGB

Budget (including currency): $800-900 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Roblox and Minecraft Other details: Please keep the monitor size below 24” because it will not fit on my desk and a keyboard with no blue switches. Monitor refresh rate above 75Hz and I will be playing at 1080p. Also, I don’t care if you go ATX or mATX, but please choose a motherboard with the BIOS already up to date because some motherboards still don’t have flashes in them and I have a pretty tight budget. One last thing, please include a Windows Copy in the build.

Hi, i've recently been looking into PC gaming because i've been getting bored on console and I think it is a time to switch. I've come up with a build and i want to know if I can change anything to make it better. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/V6b3BP Thanks for any feedback I have peripherals and a windows key, so it's just the pc itself.

$800 Best Gaming/Rendering Machine for $800?
DustinShelley posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Hey guys, I'm looking to build a new box for my Gaming, but preferably want to have capability for streaming (1080x30fps minimum) and rendering in a reasonable time frame. Can you get a better system than what I found for $800? https://pcpartpicker.com/user/GeNNeXz/saved/FKN7P6 -
Hi, I'm building my first PC soon, and I wan't to know if these will work together. I know there is PC part picker but I've heard it can mess up, CPU - Intel i5 6500 - $205 Graphics card - EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB - $200 RAM - 8 GB (4GB x2?)- $40 Case - $30-$50 Motherboard - Gigabyte LGA1151 Intel H170 Micro ATX DDR4 Motherboard (GA-H170M-D3H) - $90 PSU - Rosewill 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Power Supply ATX12V / EPS12V 550 Power Supply Hive-550 - $55 Memory - 1 TB HDD (WD Caviar Blue)- $50 Toshiba OCZ Trion 150 120GB 2.5" 7mm SATA III Internal Solid State Drive TRN150-25SAT3-120G - $40 Also does anyone have a recommendation on what RAM and case I should get? Another thing, I plan to use this computer for Cities Skylines, and Space Engineers Thanks and have a nice day!

Hey, as you may or may not know, I'm building a PC for the first time and I need some help The only games I plan on running are Space Engineers, and Cities Skylines My current budget is $800 (Preferably including windows) CPU - Intel i5 6500 - $205 Graphics card - EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB - $200 RAM - 8-16GB of RAM (4x2, 4x4, or 8x2?) Case - Corsair spec 02 - $60 Motherboard - Gigabyte LGA1151 Intel H170 Micro ATX DDR4 Motherboard (GA-H170M-D3H) - $90 PSU - Rosewill 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Power Supply ATX12V / EPS12V 550 Power Supply Hive-550 - $55 Memory - 1 TB HDD (WD Caviar Blue)- $50 Toshiba OCZ Trion 150 120GB 2.5" 7mm SATA III Internal Solid State Drive TRN150-25SAT3-120G - $40 Additional things: Yes I know that the PSU is bad but I can't find anything good without breaking the budget to much, so it would be nice if you recommended a good once around ~$60 dollars (I want to keep the budget low) I know the 6GB is better, but that is around and extra $50-60 dollars, and the performance is only like 9%-10% better (and it's like 25%-30% higher in price) Also does anyone know if theres a good way to get Word and Office cheap? -Sincerely, Quantum

So, today was my birthday. Got a bunch of money, and I've been saving up for a while. I now have enough for the upgrades I've chosen out, but before doing anything I may regret, I want to ask for some more experienced opinions. Here's what I've chosen out, https://www.ple.com.au/Products/626537/Intel-Core-i7-7700K-Kabylake-42GHz-8MB-No-HSF-Retail-Box 2 * https://www.ple.com.au/Products/623707/Kingston-8GB-DDR4-ValueRAM-C15-2133MHz https://www.ple.com.au/Products/626663/ASRock-H270-Fatal1ty-Gaming-LGA1151-DDR4-ATX-Motherboard That is what I've found, but it's most certainly not set in stone. The max amount I'd like to spend is $800, and I'd prefer to get it all from ple (I live in Perth, Western Australia). I've never built a pc before, the current pc I have, I let the people building it choose the specs. This time I will be doing the upgrades myself. I'll be using the pc for gaming and coding. My current specs are: nVidia GeForce GTX 960 Intel i5-4460 8gb ddr3 ram ^^ Post copied from https://www.spigotmc.org/threads/pc-upgrades-opinions.268228/ To save reading of replies, here's the summary: Should get a good cooler, faster ram and a different motherboard. So, what I ask from you guys, is what kind of cooler? How fast ram, and what motherboard. It would be extremely helpful if you guys find the parts on the ple website.

Would anyone be able to help me with a build that's around $800, preferably under. I do have a Hyper Evo 212 cooler but I'm not sure if I should get a new one since the buy needs to only include a motherboard, RAM, CPU, and GPU. Put the best ~$800 can buy . Thanks much! This is my current build that's around 800$ https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DGJYD8

I would add in a Hard Drive if it won't be too noisy. May get a BQ Pure Rock Slim cooler if the Wraith Spire isn't quiet enough. As for the Wifi adapter, I'll see how it works out before spending $40 on a PCIE adapter. Are two case fans enough?

I am looking for a build that is around the $800 mark (+/- $100) that includes ram, mobo, and CPU. This is only for gaming and minor things such as school work. I play mostly CS:GO, PubG, Rust, RL, Dayz, Arma 3, and other games like those. I prefer a Nvidia graphics card and Intel, but I can be persuaded by a AMD build seeing as they are on the come up. Thanks much in advance!

I'm not tech savvy at all, which is why I'm purchasing an affordable pre-built system (my budget is $900 and I'm leaving room to purchase a monitor). These two are really similar and have really good reviews - albeit one more than the other: The first system has a graphics card ram size of 6 GB in comparison to the second's 4 GB. The first system also has a 120 GB SSD card alongside the 1 TB Hard Drive (I heard downloading games onto the SSD reduces load time, but maybe you guys can speak to the validity of that). Both systems obviously have different graphics cards, but I don't know which is better than the other. Which system is better?

Hello, This is my first time building a PC so I've done a fair amount of research in to various parts and with the release of the R9 480 I'm finally pulling the trigger, so to speak. Below is a link to a PCPartpicker list for what i have planned. I'm planning on the intel i5-6500 CPU so overclocking won't be a thing, as a result z170 motherboards, and their increased price, are in my opinion unnecessary. As a result I'm left with a choice of H170 or other motherboards. Understanding the chipsets has been a nightmare..... Anyway I've listed below four motherboards that are around my price range, I'm leaning towards full ATX boards, although micro-ATX would be a decent budget comprimise. Asthetics are a bit of an issue, as I do not want a complete color clash, ie red case blue mobo. PCPartpicker build link: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/8hR6XH MOBO1:https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3L2rxr/gigabyte-motherboard-gah170d3hp MOBO2:https://pcpartpicker.com/product/DL2rxr/asrock-motherboard-h170pro4 MOBO3:https://pcpartpicker.com/product/G9Gj4D/asrock-motherboard-fatal1tyh170performance MOBO4:http://pcpartpicker.com/product/nx648d/msi-motherboard-h170apcmate From what I have seen the first gigabyte option is a good choice, it has decent asthetics, sound quality, and apparently a little eye candy, although I can't actually find any pictures of this. The fourth option is a bit nicer on the wallet but I've seen some bad customer reviews (which can't always be trusted). Anyway deciphering what's really important is hard, PCI, PCIe, networking cards has become confusing. Also apparently a few of the boards are actually shorter on one side, although I do not know what this means in terms of the build itself.

Friend of mine wants to build a $800 Gaming PC. It's okay if it goes a tad over. With the Radeon RX 480 coming soon I figured that would be a good card for this build. Below is a build I have came up with. I'm unsure of the PSU in this price range. SO feel free to correct me on that. Or anything else. Notes: He would like to have wifi on the motherboard. He does not need an SSD I rather spend more money on the GPU. He will not need a Monitor or Keyboard or mouse. I would prefer for the items to be from Newegg and Amazon if possible. Also from the US. I do realize that prices do change within a month. But he could start buying most of the parts now and wait for the GPU. Also trying to give him a rough idea of what he would be getting.. He knows nothing about the Hardware of PCs. Literally nothing... EDIT: Let me know what you think and where I could do better. So a friend asked me if I could recommend an $800 gaming laptop. Since nobody ever relies on me for tech stuff and always makes poor decisions, I was all so I said give me 24 hours and asked some questions about what he wanted. I then popped open portable part picker and looked to see if there was anything with a 960m and what I would have to trade off for it. I found only one laptop. This one. Fearing the 2gb of non-upgradable RAM or some other crippling flaw I looked at the specs, but... no. There's a quad core i5, 4gb 960m, 8gb DDR3L which looks upgradable from the inside pics in one review, 256gb SSD which can be upgraded, and on top of it all an IPS screen and good reviews. It's perfect. So, what's the catch? Does anyone see anything wrong with it? Edit: And a backlit keyboard

hey guys, i was wondering if i can get your opinions on building a new computer for $800. im looking for the biggest bang for the buck and maybe a little "future proof" (i hate to call it that, but i would like something that can be easily upgradeable in the future as well as good specs for current gaming) i dont do much hardcore gaming like far cry or anything but i would like something that minecraft wont lag on (JK) the games i play are world of tanks, minecraft, runescape, need for speed rivals, call of duty. and thats pretty much it. im new to this building process, i know how to put it together, but the part im having an issue with choosing the right components that fit into my budget. im looking to pay anywhere within $800-$900 build. let me know if you need any additional information. and thanks ahead of time! -sorce
