Hello I recently bought the Noctua NF-A4x20 PWN to replace the Nidec Ultraflo fans in my PSU. When I now turn on the PSU it starts for like 3 seconds before shutting down and starting again. Can anyone please help me? I used this as a help.

Mu understanding is that power cord are universal. 1)So can I use a 6a to 16a adaptor https://amzn.eu/d/f1aJ70s 2) there are also options for 6a to 16a convertor plug. Are they both same? They look same btw. 3 What's the benefit of using 6a instead of 16a or vice versa. Is 6a simply use for cost cuttings.

hwinfo MPG A1000G PCIE5 - Low +12V value ? Should I worry ?
OrpheuS_ posted a topic in Power Supplies
Yo ! I just came across a bit of a low value for the +12V rail while under load (playing BG3) and I wanted to know if I should start to worry ? I've never seen such a low value before as they usually hover between 11.95 and 12 but rarely do they go below that. The +3.3V looks quite low as well at 3.23, never hitting the full 3.3V value. PSU : MPG A1000G PCIE5 ATX 3.0 MOBO : MSI Pro Z790-A WiFi CPU : 13700K GPU : 4090 Suprim X Any thoughts ? Let me know ! Thanks. -
Doing my first build and have been struggling to get the ATX into the motherboard, I've been trying for 2 days now, I've tried to get help everywhere and everyone just tells me to push harder and wiggle, but I've been constantly pushing as hard as I can to the point the motherboard flexes and I've wiggled it plenty, and this is all the progress I can make. There is a little gap and you can see the clip doesn't get under to engage. Do I have a faulty cable or something? The pins are not bent, I attached a picture of them just to make it clear that is not the issue. This has been making my first build a nightmare, would've been one of the last steps before I can finally use it but I'm stuck because of this shit.

Hello I recently bought a Supermicro Server chassis for my home Server and the Nidec fans in it are extremely loud, so I search for a Noctua replacement. Do you have any recommendations.

I live in a country where power cuts are norm. The location I live in has 10+ power cuts daily. I have a sinewave Inverter for the whole house but it's reaponse time is around half a second which cause my pc to shut down. Anyway I could simply buy the best tier 1 650 watt PSU but since I have to allocate money for UPS too I am thinking about buying a corsair cv 650 (Corsair cx,cxm rm in 650w unavailable in india). The ups I am buying is APC bvx 1200VA. https://amzn.eu/d/1PqfPbD

I have a system with an Rtx 3080 and a Ryzen 9 3900x (I am aware of the bottleneck I just upgraded gpu) and was planning on getting a ryzen 7 5800x3d on Christmas for myself, and was wondering if I needed to upgrade my power supply. I just want to save as much money as possible, and I don't want to buy a 150$ psu for no reason. Help!

I was re-cabling my computer and accidentally dislodged one of the pins from the plastic housing on my 14/10 pin to 24 pin ATX cable. I am able to push the pin all the way back inside the housing, although I am unsure how safe this is. Thankfully this is a modular power supply so I can replace the cable easily, but if possible I would like to reuse this. Can anybody advise? Thanks in advance!

I want to buy a PSU for my PC. I have a minimal budget of 30-45 dollars. My PC Specs: Processor: AMD RYZEN 5 3600 Mainboard: MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max NVMe: Samsung EVO PLUS 500GB HDD: Seagate 3TB Graphic Card: Gigabyte GeForce® GTX 970 Extreme 4GD Monitor: LG 22MK600M UPS: Powerguard 1200VA I have picked two PSUs but when I looked at the tier list, found one at tier 6. The confusing fact is I heard Tier 5 is the last resort of a gaming rig. I want to play games and perform other tasks like browsing and emailing as well. The PSUs are as follows: Thermaltake Smart BM2 550W Semi-Modular Power Supply (Tier 6) Price - $45.83 Deepcool PK-D Series PK550D Non-Modular 550W 80 Plus Bronze Certified Black Power Supply (No Tier) - $43.33 What do you recommend?

I've very recently purchased the MSI MPG A850GF and since I started using it I noticed a weird sound coming from it. Looking it up on the net I found various people with the same issue and their video proof had the exact same sound as mine does. Is that sound normal for this specific PSU? If not should I return it or will it be fine? I don't want it to damage anything as everything is practically brand new and expensive.

Hello , i'm writing today about an issue i encountered ! I got a new GPU recently RX7900xt to replace my old 1070ti ( it served well , but got old). Then i started having coilwhine all of a sudden coming from my PSU - EVGA Supernova G+ 1000W Gold rated (its deffo the PSU whining , i really got my ear in there ). Also the PSU only whines under load , like in-game also in Furmark Bench . While i realise Coilwhine on itself isn't a lot to worry about , as its just a negative byproduct of a normal electrical operation ! And i realise this could also just be caused by the vibrations of the increased power draw from the new GPU ! I've had this PSU since 2019. and it was ok all this time with no coil whine , at least with the power needs of 1070ti ! Could this newly appeared coilwhine mean an undrelying issue that has arrisen with the higher powerdraw from the newly aquired rx7900xt ? Or maybe is sort of was allways there and i didn't realise it because i wasn't drawing that much power with the old card ( 1070Ti ). Am i just worryed for nothing ? Other than that , all seems to work fine (Temps ok , not crashing or anything) Just that sudden apperance of PSU coilwhine with the new GPU upgrade got me a bit on edge ! Before i got the new card i figured my existing EVGA Supernova G+1000W Gold rated Psu should be able to pull the load ! I can live with the noise if i can be sure the PSU won't suddenly destroy my system or doesn't under-power it and corrupt data on any components ! Anyone with some advice out there ? My MSI A750GL (which is tier A speculative) have some noise when the PSU is plugged into the wall, regardless of whether or not the PSU switch is on or off. This noise is constant, and last forever as far as I can tell. It does not disappear after awhile. It only disappears when the psu is completely disconnected from the power. Once it’s plugged in again, the noise resume, regardless of the status of the pc/psu. The PSU seems to be working fine, with the static noise mentioned. The replacement unit still has the same issue. Does anyone else have this issue too? If anyone is interested in the noise: https://streamable.com/gf6an1

I have a few options. Corsair CX650, EVGA 600GD, NZXT C650 Bronze, Seasonic B12 BC-650 Bronze, or G12 GC-650 Gold They all cost basically the same at $75 (converted to USD), except the G12 at $90. What PSU should I choose? Or is it worth buying the G12? Also, I found a used EVGA 650 GQ for $72. I messaged the seller, and they said they had it for 1 year, tested it, but never used it as it was used in a prebuild for sale. They sent me an S/N code, and it was made in 2021. Is it worth buying the used PSU? Or get the G12? If not, which one should I get? Also I am from the Czech Republic. Thanks for the help.

Hey y’all, just looking for some PSU advice here! I’ve got parts coming in for a music production / 3d rendering / gaming build as follows: Intel i9 14900k PNY Verto XLR8 OC RTX 4090 (450w limit) G Skill Ripjaws 2x32GB 6400 Arctic Freezer II 420mm AIO (top exhaust) 2TB Samsung M2 4TB Samsung M2 4TB Samsung SSD 3x 140mm Corsair front intake 1x 140mm Corsair Elite exhaust 4x 120mm Phanteks T30 side intake Arctic 10x fan hub Corsair 7000D Airlflow I’m looking for a reliable PSU for this build even after scouring the net as one does. I’ve got a be quiet! Dark Power 13 1000W on the way as it is an “A tier” PSU and found it at a good price. Since ordering, I read up on voltage spikes and the 1.5x (or +50% GPU) wattage overhead recommendation. My question is: am I good with the 1000w ATX 3.0 Titanium rated PSU that I’ve already purchased? Calculators suggest my components draw a peak 900~1000W, and I could only envision that scenario for rendering (and obv benchmarks) which would be my use case maybe 5% of the time. My understanding is that the ATX 3.0 handles the potential transients even though my particular GPU is limited to 450w. Will the Titanium put me in good hands with its higher efficiency at higher loads or should I opt for 1200/1300/1500W? I have had my eye on the Corsair HX1500i as well as the RM1200x Shift as they are higher wattage, both ATX 3.0, and have a similar 10 year warranty like the be quiet! I have on the way. That said, these are lower efficiency if that matters much; I’ve heard it doesn’t. Thanks for any and every insight! H

Which of these three PSUs is the best? NZXT C650 Bronze, Corsair CV650 dual EPS, Corsair CX650. I know the CX650 is more popular but the NZXT C650 looks like a really good PSU being semi-modular and quiet but I cant find many reviews on it. Also they all cost the same at 75$. Thx for the help.

What is the difference between these two PSUs. I can find things about the RM750 vs the RM750x but nothing about what makes the Rm750e different. The difference between the RM750 and the RM750e is $20 with the "e" being cheaper, is there a reason to use the more expensive "x"?

Hey there! I am kinda new in the pc-game and I'm now thinking about upgrading my Prebuilt PC... I bought my PC about a year ago and up until this point I was scared to upgrade it apart from some RAM... The PC is an HP Prebuilt using the erica 2 Motherboard and it came with a Ryzen 5 3400G without a dedicated GPU. I'm happy with the CPU but i thought about upgrading to a 1660 super or something (haven't done any research on that yet), but my proprietary 180W PSU is holding me back. There is a 500W PSU made by HP called the L05757-800, just from looking at the pictures it seems to fit, however in a spreadsheet made by an HP support-guy it isn't listed as compatible with the erica 2 MOBO. He said he didn't check if all configs worked but this is still enough for me to put off buying it since it is a 100€ unit here in Germany. I am pretty sure it will fit physically since they used the same case for nearly all their Prebuilts, but there is still a chance the connectors might not fit or it won't have the connectors I need for the GPU. I've read about similar cases in some forums but I want to be extra cautious. There isn't really that much information about either of these components so I am hoping some of you might know the answer or experienced something similar. It would also be nice if someone could explain to me wether that 500W is TDP, but that is less important since the entire system once finished will probably only need ~300W-350W. Thanks in advance for your help!

So I'm trying to find out if I can mix the split cables to power 2 different things in my pc since my psu only has 2 pcie connections available. One of the cables is used for my graphics card (radeon 6700xt) and another is being used for the cpu cooler I have which is the icue link h100i rgb. The problem is that my graphics card needs two 8 pins, my psu came with split cables but I'm scared to pigtail the cable already connected to my gpu (unless its actually ok to do so but im not sure) so I'm wondering if I can use the split cable connected with my cpu cooler to also connect to my gpu. Here are all my parts involved with the problem: GPU: PowerColor Hellhound AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT Gaming Graphics Card with 12GB GDDR6 Memory Cpu cooler: CORSAIR iCUE Link H100i RGB Liquid CPU Cooler - 240mm AIO PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower GF A3 650W 80+ Gold If any more info is needed lmk

Hello , I’ve currently been having an issue where my pc can’t run like any games for more than 1hr without crashing to windows … I have an i9 13900k , rtx 4070 , Rog strix z790 e gaming wifi mob, 64gb of 6400mhz ddr5 corsair rgb ram ,… and an evga 1000w gold plus psu … whenever I load up apex legends or csgo 2 or call of duty my pc crashes to windows before the game can fully load up .. what could be the issue ? Because I’ve had the pc less than a year … I lt hasn’t done anything like this until recently within the past I’d say 3 months I can’t even play the new lethal company game for more than 30 minutes without my pc closing the game ..

I am upgrading to 6800 XT I need to upgrading to a new PSU the one I was going to get was the Cooler Master XG850 Plus Platinum https://shorturl.at/arsLY the only thing the stopping me is that it is not ATX3.0. I am not sure that the ATX3.0 is needed as I don't intend to upgrade (Expect maybe to a 5000 series CPU) The two ATX3 I was looking at was Corsair RM850x SHIFT Fully Modular ATX Power Supply 80 PLUS Gold ATX 3.0, PCIe 5.0, Zero RPM https://shorturl.at/fyDIU. The other thing that makes me want to go for the XG850 is that it is platinum & the others are gold so with the price of energy I would make the difference back pretty quickly and as I have NO PLANS to upgrade for YEARS and I think the XG850 is the correct choice
