Since a couple days ago, i finally became the proud owner of the JTK Tian Wen set including the special edition BBOX60 case. I waited close to half a year for this set, and i think it's one of the best looking sets out there! The BBOX60 gives it a lovely retro look because of the big bezels, and the caps are thick, quality caps that give the board a lovely sounding 'thock'. Lets modify this set to be wireless! The board now Kailh heavy Box Burnt Orange switches Brass plate GH60 PCB JTK Tian Wen caps BBOX60 case I really want to keep this layout, with the arrow cluster in a 60% footprint. So here's what i wanna do: The plan The coolermaster SK622 is a wireless keyboard with the same layout i want to keep on my board. I'll gut the coolermaster board to harvest the wireless PCB/battery. swap out the plate and switches for the brass plate and new Kailh Box Blacks. The coolermaster board has the USB connector on the wrong place, but because of the retro bezels of the BBOX60 case i can just use a USB extender cable to re-route it to the proper spot. And if everything goes to plan, my little board should be wireless! Depending on how much room i have left in this case, i want to fill it up with some acoustic foam aswell. So that's it for now, the new switches and donor board are on their way. Expect updates soon!

I am looking for keyboard recommendation! I am not keyboard geek so pls forgive my ignorance concerning terminology and the like. I like the key profile of the compaq keyboard shown in the attached pic. I like the feeling of a Dell Latitude 2120 keyboard's keys. I want RGB. I would like standard media keys somewhere (play/pause, next, previous, volume up down mute, etc.) whether on function keys or separate. I am used to size keyboard from Dell Latitude 3160 to standard odm dell keyboard. I prefer not to spend a whole lot – preferably under $40-50. Must have numpad with numlock, function keys, and arrow keys in normal position. Also I'd prefer a little bit smaller than normal size (referrig to the compaq and dell key oard as normal here). Thanks in advance!

Razer Huntsman [RZ03-0252] opto-mechanical keyboard. I have been using this keyboard for the past 4.5 years. The keyboard is not getting detected on my PC but is getting detected on other systems which includes other laptops & desktops. Checked on both, a system with Razer driver ‘Synapse’ pre-installed & on multiple systems without any pre-installed drivers. Device was detected & worked normally in both cases. Tried plugging the keyboard in different USB ports on the motherboard & the front USB port - did not work in either case. The device is not working even in BIOS, which is before the OS is loaded, so that would mean that Windows is not causing the issue. Also tested in a secondary OS by installing Ubuntu, did not work even there. The keyboard is rated 5V-500mA. I have a Samsung portable SSD which is rated 5V-900mA. The SSD is working fine with the motherboard. So, it means that there shouldn’t be any issues with the power draw. Other keyboards - a basic membrane keyboard & a mechanical keyboard (borrowed from a friend) works fine on my PC. I am unable to deduce the cause of this issue.

Basically, my keyboard stops working after waking from sleep or when I switch it to USB mode. I use my royal kludge rk71 in Bluetooth mode and on a fresh restart, it works without any issues. If I put my computer to sleep, on the next wake my keyboard stops working. Interestingly, if at this point I connect this keyboard via a USB cable, it still won't work. Also if I connect the keyboard to the USB cable, the keyboard becomes unresponsive and doesn't work anymore even after switching to Bluetooth mode. It also becomes unresponsive if the keyboard is kept idle for many hours. The only thing that I've found to fix it is a restart. I've tried several things, listing them from memory here: 1. Reinstalled drivers 2. Tried updating drivers but all shows driver is updated. 3. Disabled "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in device manager for all USB controllers and HID devices, as well as Intel Wireless Bluetooth. 4. I'm on the latest drivers from Intel, AMD, and Windows Update 5. Disabled USB Selective Suspend in Power Options for USB and PCIe. 6. Ran troubleshooters for Bluetooth, power and keyboard but nothing found. 7. Stopped, Started, Restarted Bluetooth Support Service in services.msc 8. Set Bluetooth Support Service to trigger Automatically and configured the Logon setting to use Local Service. 9. Tried turning off and on both the keyboard and the Bluetooth. 10. Paired the device once again. The Bluetooth settings shows that the device is connected but none of the keys I press seems to work on the laptop. The laptop specs: Asus Vivobook S15 Intel Core i5 8265U 16GB DDR4 RAM, NVIDIA MX150 GPU. I'm also including some additional setups in case if any of them comes to of use. I have an LG 24 inch monitor connected to the laptop via an HDMI. A USB C hub connected to the laptop with the keyboard usb cable and a LAN cable. I also have a logitech k380 bluetooth keyboard that I use on my Dell lattitude 5320 which never seemed to create any problem so far. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks in advance.

Hey all, So I have some musculoskeletal issues and have found my hands/arms are almost pain-free by having my elbows slightly wider than the shoulders and my hand's shoulder width. So I am looking at getting a keyboard of the style of the ones in the picture I have attached as I am currently using a Razer Blackwidow Chrome v2, I would also like to swap my Logitech G502 for a wireless Gaming mouse. Does anyone have any recommendations? Does need: - Mechanical Keys - Programmable Macro Keys - Wrist rest - Wireless Doesn't need: - Numpad -RGB Nice to have's: - USB passthrough I can sell the mouse and keyboard I currently have for around £100-120 so that is the sort of budget I am working with. Thankyou

Hey! I am working on putting up my first desktop PC ever, and I'm not looking for a keyboard. I had a cheap gateron blue keyboard in the past. I liked how it felt but it sounded like a machine gun when I tipped, and I am a "slammer" typer. I'm now renting a room, instead of living by my own, and if I get another blue KB I'll get kicked out of the house Thus, I am looking for recommendations for a SILENT mechanical (tactile would be nice for linear is okay too) with either UK Extended or European Portuguese layout for ≈ 100€. I've found a few on the interwebs but they are either US layout or "DIY" keyboards, but honestly I rather just get a pre-built, ready to go model. Any suggestions? Cheers!

Hi everyone, first time posting here sorry if this is in the wrong spot. I'm currently using a Hexgears X-1 (the original Kickstarter one I got from a friend) + a Microsoft Ergonomic Wireless Mouse. I want to get a new mouse & keyboard now that I'm getting more into PC gaming & was looking for advice on what brands & models are considered good in terms of comfort, value, etc. I don't really play anything super competitive but want something that will be comfortable when playing FPS games like Halo, Apex & Destiny, as well as when playing RTS & turn-based strategy like Halo Wars, Civ, etc. My hands are average to large size for a 5'9" man and I can't really say what grip I use with the mouse I do have, but I know I don't hold it the way the ergonomic shape tries to encourage me to hold it. I was looking at the HyperX Pulsefire Haste since it's lightweight & I like the cutouts so my palm can breath a little while playing for a long time. Is this considered a good mouse or is there a better value/better quality option I'm overlooking? For keyboard, I'm looking for something a little clicky, but not as loud as my X-1, with RGB & Bluetooth + wired so I can swap it between my work machine and my gaming PC as needed. I'm not sure, but I don't think I can swap the switches on my X-1 unfortunately. I was looking into the world of mechanical keyboards but don't think I have the budget right now for these $150+ kits, as cool as they are. Any suggestions or tips for where to start researching? Happy to do my own digging and decide for myself but as a total noob to this space I'm not sure what's good and what's bad or resources to get started. Thanks so much for any tips and for reading this far!

Hi Guys, i am interested in modding my Logitech G610 but i am not sure what parts i can pick seeing as i am pretty new to this and have never modded a keyboard before! So currently i have cherry mx reds but i want to switch to Gateron Pro Milky Yellows. Would there be any issues or can i just directly solder them to the pcb? Gateron Pro Milky Yellow Switch | Candykeys I would also like to add white LEDs. I think they should fit but please correct me if i am wrong! LED 2x3x4mm | Candykeys As for the new Keycaps i have decided go for the following set: Double-Shot PBT Cherry Profile Full Set Keycaps - Grey, White and Blue (keychron.de) In the description it mentions that there minor interferences with north facing LEDs, which i why i mentioned them above. Would that still work for me? Sorry if these are stupid questions but it's wanted to make sure that everything will work and that i don't totally destroy the keyboard!

My specs: Intel i9-11900k 16gb 3600mh Corsair ram and a Corsair RM850 with a RTX 3060 (x64) with Windows 11 Home, Keychron V1 and a G502 Hero Recently I have realised that my "z" key is not working as it should be, on my browsers and my start menu etc. When I would press the "z" key, it would not work. I followed up by using a key testing website but weirdly it is working on any key testing website. I even used the Key testing software that came with my new keyboard since I even bought a new keyboard in hopes of it working. I have made a new account in Windows and it does work in there.

Hello everyone, I´m looking for the holy grail of keyboards. What does this mean? I´ll explain... I´m searching for a low-profile mechanical keyboard preferably a 100% layout hot-swap switch. I know there is stuff like the Keychron K5, but I´d like to mod my keyboard for dead silence in the office. So lubing is not the problem, but the o-rings which wouldn´t fit are. Low-profile and o-rings are not matching well, so I´d like to know if there is a really flat keyboard with full-size mx switches hot swap. I know there is the Roccat Vulcan ( I already have the tkl for private use modded) and this would be fine if those switches were hot-swappable. (I can tell you that soldering work was a pain) Does anyone have an idea what I could do or combine ? I thought about a TKL and separate numpad, but that's just the lack of opportunities. Thanks

I've had this keyboard for a long time. so I decided to clean it, but when I came to remove my spacebar to clean it up, it pulled on of the stabilizers out, so if there is any way to fix it without having to buy a new stabilizer or using sketchy ways to fix it (supergluing / taping it), I would love to hear about it

I have a RedDragon brown switch keyboard that I usually clean once a year or so. I follow this video from Paul's Hardware: It says to wait 48 hours to let your keyboard fully dry. I normally have no problem with this, since I had an extra keyboard to use while the other was drying. Right now, I don't have access to that keyboard, so I would not be able to use my PC at all for 48 hours if I wanted to clean the keyboard. I am curious, does it really take 48 hours for the keyboard to dry? Would I be able to get away with 24 instead?

Is there a 75% (or 65%) wireless keyboard with Bluetooth that automatically turns off the backlight but not the Bluetooth connection (or at least waits much longer before disconnecting)? I had a Keychron K3 v2 which goes to sleep after 10 min, and upon wake, it takes a few seconds to reconnect and fully turn on backlight. It's a bit of a hassle for intermittent reading and typing. The only option was to disable sleep completely. It's also what I don't quite get: Does Bluetooth cost a lot of battery compared to backlighting? I think it's appropriate to turn off the light after 10min, but why the Bluetooth... Same problem with my Bluetooth mouse, 900h advertised battery life, yet sleep can't seem to be disabled.

Heya, I was wondering if anyone of you know if there's a rubber/silicone pad/board that I could put under the key caps to dampen the sound from bottoming out and overall rattle throughout the keyboard? Thanks in advance.

Heyo, Just wondering if anyone has had a logitech keyboard with an issue with double typing keys on one key press. This has been happening to me as of late. The only keys that seem to be affected at the moment are the R and S keys, but have read some logitech support forum posts stating that affects many more keys. https://community.logitech.com/s/question/0D53100006m6twZCAQ/g910-orion-spark-keyboard-randomly-double-or-triple-typing-letters The keyboard is the only wireless device in my room, so i do not believe it is a interference issue. I am most likely going to take it back for a warranty return in a few days, would just like some opinions or stories before i do. Thanks Guys :3

I was playing Rust and realized I couldn't crouch jump. I have a Keychron K10 keyboard. Space-bar doesn't work when I am holding 'ctrl'. Just started to have this problem recently. I don't see it as a ghosting problem as it can do 20+ keys at once. Any solutions? 20230526_153540.mp4

For the past 3 months i've been dealing with my keyboard acting up. (i have a Razer Blackwidow V3 PRO) from time to time there are specific keys(changes every few hours) that type double sometimes triple the amount that i actually am pressing. ofcourse that's really annoying when you try to text people and even try to play games cause it really messes up my gameplay. So i'm really hoping that anyone can help me.

So, long story short i around the covid times i spilled some sugary liquid on my keyboard don't remember exactly what, but the buttons glitched(Like they usually do in these cases) And like usuall i went to the store to get a atleast 90% alcholic cleaner.Only that time i coudn't find any so i asked the cashier for one and blindly trusted them. After cleaning out the keyboard with the sanitizer and plugging it in it started flickering so in a panic i unplugged it and let it sit for a day or two. Now its completly dead even rgb lights arent glowing. Does anyone have any ideas how i could fix it ? i have a HyperX Allow FPS RGB keyboard. -

I spilled water on my g11 keyboard a while ago, and am so slow that I've just now realized I can repair it. I did dry it out immediately, but several keys were still broken, so I gave up for a few months until now, when I realized I never fixed it. Anyone know where to start? I've disassembled it and the silicone is torn a little on one key.

Hello everyone! Longtime lurker, first time poster. I am hoping for some recommendations for a good keyboard and mouse combo belkow 100€. Must be wireless and utilize only one dongle. I am looking for long battery life and good quality. It's puprose is not for gaming, but for office work - it will be connected to a work laptop and has to travel between work and home with me. So far I've used Legotech's M185 & K270 combo. I was not too happy with it (mouse is too small) but they were for free. Now they've given up the ghost and I need a replacement to use for a couple of years. Any tips or hints?

Ok so what I'd like to do is very simple yet iCue makes it stupid. As of now I have my home keys (insert, home, pageup/dwn,del,end) as my cpu temp "monitor". That is, 55 green, 65 yellow, and 75 red. System is watercooled. None the less, id like to have a little more accurate "readout". Instead I'd like to use my F-keys, or even ESC-BRK as a temperature thermometer of sorts. Say im at 65c on my cpu, id like it to go up to F6, leaving the remaining keys white (who cares). say it goes up to 70c, then it goes to F7, 80, F8 and so on. Whatever I can work out the scale later. Naturally id like a color gradient too, that is 65 being green and progressing to red (and further down the F keys) should my CPU get that hot. Has anybody been able to achieve this? I been googling around and best I found was what i have already done. Nothing along the lines of a "thermometer" of sorts spanning across a dozen keys. Thanks a bunch peeps!

I beg someone can help as I've scoured the internet and have not found a solution. Have an Alienmware M15 R7, ryzen 6 6800h, 3060. Was trying to setup drivers to use gamecube controllers and used Zadig and accidentally chose the first item on the list which evidentially was my keyboard or something that would affect it. Ever since the keyboard has not functioned at all. I've confirmed the keyboard still physically functions as it works in bios. HID keyboard did not appear in the device manager until recently when i tried the solution of replacing a non used device with the driver for HID keyboard, here is what the device manager looks like now other Things I've tried: Full windows reinstall/reset Windows troubleshooter Dell/Alienware troubleshooter Trying other replacement drivers with zadig in an attempt to revert it.
