I sent an old K70 to be repaired a while ago. Corsair sent me a new K70 LUX, and everything was fine. Cut to a few months, and now I'm having an issue I'm not sure I can even explain. If I put colour on any of the following keys, Shift - |\ - Zz - Xx - Cc - ALT GR - Windows Key (Right) I get a red colour. Adding any colour on top will create a "that colour + red" effect. Adding white makes it pink for example, as seen in the picture above. If I make a profile with just one key (for example, shift) selected with all other keys blank (so the LEDS should be off), the shift key will be pink while the other effected keys are red. This is what happens. If I select no keys, all LEDS are off, so it's not a case of the red LED being stuck on. It can turn off. If I select the whole keyboard and try to make every key white, this is what happens. I've also taken the key caps off, they aren't dirty (even though the camera is picking up dust on the board itself, it's not that bad in reality), and you can definitely see the red LED on from the switch itself. The top key, shift, is "white". According to CUE, this is the same as the bottom key, CTRL, which is white. Is this a hardware problem? I've reinstalled CUE, deleted the appdata folders, tried as many custom profiles as I can and it's all the same. I really don't know what to do. I'm not even sure I'm covered by a warranty anymore. EDIT: I'm running the latest firmware and drivers, and forcing a firmware update seems to do nothing.

So I have a K70 Lux and a M65 mouse, and I seem to have many issues with Corsairs blatantly confusing software, is there something simplistic and lightweight that requires little effort that can control macros, keybinds and stuff for the Corsair products? I'm on Windows 10. (I keep having Macro issues and it just spamming keys when I hit the button on my mouse etc.)

Hello everyone, So I'm really torn right now. The Corsair K70 and G.Skill KM780R are what I'm looking at the moment. It should be noted that I don't really care about the fact Corsair's software offers more lighting customization. However, I am concerned about both Corsair and G.Skill's quality control and customer support pertaining to these keyboard. There's not quite as many positive reviews on the KM780R as there are on the K70 (though most negative reviews are about the software being limited at the moment). I also prefer the K70's design more, but it is lacking in features. The physical build quality of both keyboards seems to be on par. So what do you all think? All feedback is appreciated. Thank you!

Hi LTT forum, I am intending to give my K70 a long-awaited clean and I am nervous to use 99.9% Isopropyl Alcohol as I am unsure as to whether it will damage they keycaps eg discoloration, fading, eating away at the plastic etc also the same for the metal body. If anybody with a K70 RGB could let me know form any personal experience that would be greatly appreciated. I am using the keycaps that came with the keyboard just in case anyone asks. TIA, Max

So i've got a problem with my corsair k70 rapidfire with the mxred switches. I have bought this keyboard little over a year ago, and so far the space key has died on me once. all of the sudden it started to not type 1/10 spaces and then it just stopped working entirely... i thought that it was just a bad key so i replaced it with the options key next to the left windows button, but now it is happening all over again, if i sended it back on warranty the first time it would take 3-4 weeks to make sure it still was under warranty, does anyone have the same experience with this keyboard, or any other mxred keyboard?

Hi, I was wondering if there is any company out there selling custom keycaps for the k70? I just noticed it has a non standard row after ordering one and wanted to get pudding keycaps but can't seem to find any that support the non standard bottom row.

Okay, so, I'm expecting people to say "tough cookies" but I have a short problem, and have no idea what the solution is. I want to change to a different lighting profile for my Corsair K70 RGB keyboard. All the profiles I have, I got back when CUE wasn't iCUE, so the profiles are .prf type file. iCUE won't let me import or use that file type. I tried going back to the old version of CUE, and it refuses to see my keyboard (Likely because the firmware is newer than the software supports... maybe?) I just want to use the exact lighting profile I switch to every Christmas, but since I updated to iCUE this year, it seems that the custom "scene" either died or is so different that I don't know anything about it anymore. I don't care about any features beyond getting that profile to work. I don't have any macros or other features set up. Just want to get all my old .prf files to work for lighting. Short version: Want to use ancient lighting profile on K70 keyboard. Non-ancient software laughed in my face when I tried.

Will all my K70 keycaps fit on my new Razer blackwidow chroma? My k70 kept pressing keys that i wasnt pressing so it became completely useless. I dont have a spare and i couldnt wait 3-5days for amazon to deliver a new one so i went straight to PCworld hoping to find a replacement and all the had was Blackwidow Chromas. I can live with the cheaper feel of the blackwidow compared to the K70, i will adjust to the click of the keys (im used to MX reds) and the lighting effects though completely pointless are actually pretty cool. What i cant seem to get used to is the stupid fucking font of the keys. I mean seriously, who thinks that this looks good? There is so much wrong with it, WTF is that @ supposed to be and dont get me started on the ampersand. The worst thing though, that is just unforgivable, the only letter that is lower case is the R. Everytime i see it it pisses me off, it stands out so much that i cant just ignore it. THE FONT IS DUMB, i cant be the only one that thinks this. So i need to know if anyone has done this before. Im not going to take all my keys off to find out that the K70 keys arent going to all fit together.

Hi I just bought a corsair k70 with red led lighting and am wondering if there's a way to set up a profile designed for when I leave the room or go afk. Because when i'm gaming I don't want to lights to start flashing and doing cool stuff but I want my keyboard to after something like 15 minutes of not being touched it starts doing patterns and cool shit. Thanks appreciate any help given.

Hey guys at the moment I'm using my old Ducky Shine 2 with Cherry Blacks because I've recently taken in my Corsair K70 RGB (Original one with tramp stamp logo) in for an RMA because a bond of LEDs on it were failing. It was the Cherry Brown version and it looks like I'll just be getting a straight up refund because they only stock the Reds now and no longer Browns. So I was wondering what I should purchase? I'm definitely looking to get MX Browns again At the moment the list looks this this Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro L Logitech G610 Logitech G710+ Corsair K95 RGB I didn't mind my K70 but I'd say the build quality way fairly average and I guess I wasn't as big a fan of the floating key design as others. The lighting on my K70 never really impressed me but maybe this has been revised over time since I had a very early one. How does the MasterKeys Pro compare to the K70?

I posted this in the H440 Unofficial Thread, but figured it might get more comments, feed back, and conversations here, so here it is! My build! So after watching too many console gaming videos, and being a console gamer for most of my 33 years on this planet, I slowly started to watch more pc videos, and subscribed to most of the usual suspects. (Linus, awesome sauce, jayz2cents, hardwarecanucks, etc.) I slowly got more and more into the idea of building a PC of my very own, and after doing tons of research, reading, and pricing, I built my first ever desktop rig, to work, game, and everything in between. I wanted to keep it a sleeper, and not overly flashy unless I wanted to turn up the lighting, so I went with the rarely seen around here, black on black 440. I had originally planned for a 970 card, but ended up getting a killer deal on a 980ti, and have enrolled in EVGAs "Step Up" card program, and will get a 1080 FTW RGB Edition when it becomes available in the program, or possibly wait for the 1080ti to come to market instead. I also suffer from diagnosed obsessive compulsive disorder, so my build is very clean, and my desk/work environment, and surroundings are always kept as proper as possible. The Final Pop Captain Phasma figure was a throw in at purchase by the salesman, as he said that each build should have a name, and a background. She has since been relagated to shelf duty as she was impeding air flow in the case. Build specs: NZXT h440 black/black NZXT Kraken X61 NZXT Hue+ NZXT Grid+ (in the mail) Gigabyte Z170x UD3 motherboard Intel i7 6700k EVGA GTX 970 FTW (was exchanged for a EVGA 980ti FTW before finishing build) Corsair HX750i Corsair K70 RGB Rapid Fire MX Speed Corsair M65 Pro RGB Corsair MM200 Extended Mouse Pad 1 x Samsung 850 evo 256gb SSD 2 x Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 2tb HDD 4 x 8gb (32gb) Kingston Hyper X Fury 21300 DDR4 3 x Corsair AF 140mm Quiet Edition High Airflow Fans (2 on Kraken X61 as exhaust, 1 on rear of H440 as exhaust) 3 x Corsair AF 120mm Performance Edition High Airflow Fans (3 on front of H440 as intake) Cable Mods C Series HXi Cable Kit (Black Braided) Cable Mods C Series Modflex Basic Cable Comb Kit (Black) Asus PB278q WQHD 144hz Monitor Asus Turbo Drive external Blu-ray Disc Drive Audio Technical Ath m50x Headphones (black/black) Logitech z506 5.1 Surround Sound System Blue Snowball USB Microphone Microsoft Xbox One Elite Controller Microsoft Xbox One Wireless Adapter I can't be any happier with the setup so far, and will be adding 2 m.2 950 Pro SSDs into the system in the future, along with a full customized Cable Mods (black/grey/gold) Cable Kit to finish the whole thing off. Hi, I'm thinking on buying a Corsair k70 Cherry MX Red keyboard and I would like to receive some feedback from some of you guys who own one. Have you encountered any type of problem? Connection problem, backlight giving out, keys not working properly or media key problem? Thanks for any feedback.

Hey Does anyone know what the difference between the K70 RGB and the K70 LUX RGB are. They are $10 cheaper, but why?. I can't see any differences in the pictures.

After updating to windows 10 the mute button appeared not to work until recently when I used the line-in jack and discovered that the mute button was only working for that jack. Is there a way to reassign what jack the button works with or some other alternative? I'm using an Audioengine D1 external DAC btw.
