Hello there, as mentioned in title I'm going to do a last upgrade of my machine. The point is that today I have AMD FX8350, 8GB RAM, GTX750Ti and a pretty old Cooler Master PSU 500W. As far as I understand FX8350 will not perform better with RX480 or GTX1070 or something better, anyway I have no budget for theese GPUs. I'm looking for a best GPU for Prey, I dont think it will be very demanding, but for sure I need a better graphics card. RX 480(4GB), GTX 970, GTX1060(3GB) seems have similar performance and similar prices, but I have noticed that RX 480 sufferes from micro lags so this is a main concern about it, GTX1060 has only 3GBs of RAM, and GTX 970 is old(kind of) and has 3,5GBs of RAM. Please help me pick one. that

Hi guys, I am very inexperienced in terms of overclocking and could really use some advice. I have a fairly low-end PC (CPU: AMD A10-7850K, MOBO: ASUS A68HM-K Micro ATX, GPU: ASUS DUAL FAN GTX 1060 6GB OC, 430w PSU, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 1TB HDD) I've been using the ASUS GPU Tweak software to overclock my GPU but I feel like this isn't doing much (possibly due to my extremely low end CPU which already bottlenecks the card). Can someone please help explain the best way to effectively overclock my CPU/GPU, or even assess my build and tell me if I'm even capable of overclocking?

I am building a computer for my cousin using some old pc parts I have left over. We are on a 350 dollar budget which I can meet if we use my old gtx 950, however, I want to make a case for saving the extra dough for either a gtx 1060 and rx480, but i have no baseline. What kind of milage can he expect out of the 950, 1060, and rx 480? I am basically looking for some ammo to try to convince him. So far the build is: CPU: g4560 Mobo: ga-ba250m mATX Mem: corsair vengance lpx 8gb (single stick) Psu: ega 500 watt 80+white Storage: wd blue 1tb Gpu: gtx 950, gtx 1060, or rx 480

I have three options available. The Zotac gtx1060 amp, the EVGA gtx1060 sc and the GALAX gtx 1060 EXOC. I don't know which one to go for because temperature and noise is important to me. I wanted to buy the Zotac but I looked at reviews on newegg and there are complaints about temperatures hitting 80°C, and that Zotac has bad customer support and this worries me. The GALAX has the best price (and it has a back plate) out of the three, but there are almost no reviews for it and is GALAX a good company to buy from? I know EVGA makes good cards, but I am concerned about the fact that it is so small with only one fan and that it will run very hot. Which one should I go for?

rgb fusion GPU not syncing rgb fusion Gigabyte
Hixozi posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hi, so im wondering if im the only one whos having this problem. I have a AMD ryzen 7 1700 with the rgb wraith cooler, my motherboard is gigabyte ab350 gaming 3 and gigabyte gtx 1060 gaming g1 and i know these 3 are rgb compatible. But whenever i try changing the color on rgb fusion on gigabyte app center, the gpu wont sync with the colors of thw wraith cooler and the motherboard. Sometimes it does but whenever i change the effects of the lights, the led of my gpu wont sync or it wont change and even sometimes the led for gpu just turns off. I wanna know if theres a solution to this. Would be glad if someone reply! thanks! -
Hi there guys! I'm new here, so bare with me I bought GIGABYTE GTX 1060 3G Rev 1.0 on 24/2/2017. After I mount it on my PC, I did all the check up on the card. The card work perfectly fine. However, the LED on "Gigabyte" and "Fan Stop" is not lighting up. So here's what I already did so far: 1. I tried to mount this card on other PC. The card's LED work just fine. Conclusion: The card is not broken 2. I updated all my OS and BIOS. 3. I installed GIGABYTE XTREME GAMING ENGINE but the light still won't turn on. 2. I went into BIOS and playing around with "Integrated device" setting. I found that the LED worked. BUT, after I shut down and waited for few minutes and reboot my PC, the LED is not lighting up again. I did toggle around the "Integrated device" setting in the BIOS few times and I get the same result. Which are: LED work just fine but once I shut down my PC and reboot it after few minutes, the LED is not lighting back up. Really glad if someone could help me with this. My PC Details as follow (refer attachments for more details): Intel i7 3770 Ivy Bridge DDR3 2x4GB RAM Alienware 06G6JW v.A14 Motherboard GIGABYTE GTX 1060 3GB Rev 1.0 Silverstone 500W PSU HDD 1TB Cooler Master Hyper 103 CPU cooler

I'm on the brink of buying a new laptop but I can't decide on what configuration I should get. 1) GTX 1070 with a 4K 60fps ips panel 2) GTX 1070 with a 1080p 60fps ips panel or 3) GTX 1060 with a 1080p 60fps ips panel I don't want to get a 120hz panel even if it comes with g-sync because it is a TN panel and I'm planning to start dabbling in digital art, so colour accuracy is important to me. (but not to the point of needing 100% aRGB at this moment) Each config comes with it's own set of problems: The first option doesn't allow for games to be played at Max setting at the full 60fps at 4K and I hear playing games outside of the native resolution will cause the images to lose it's quality. The second option (since it doesn't have g-sync) would introduce tearing with v-sync off because of high frame rates. I have read that Adaptive V-sync, or V-sync with with Triple Buffering might help but will still introduce input lag. (Also, is Adaptive V-sync the best solution to tearing outside of G-sync?) The third option has the best GPU for the screen, but it won't be able to hold out as long as a GTX1070 at Max settings with newer and more demanding games come out. Because I haven't yet bought the laptop, I feel that I ought to be a bit picky about it so I can make the choice that would give me the best experience as I will be using the laptop for the foreseeable future. (up to the next 5 years) The laptops I'm currently considering are the Alienware 15 R3 and the newest Razer Blade (Which has a GTX1060 and 4k touchscreen option, but that would have the same problems as option 1 and will be more prominent.) Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello I need some help deciding on whether to get a new 144hz monitor or upgrade my PC (Everything but the GPU) I currently have an AMD FX 6300 and a GTX 1060, and BENQ RL2455HM 60HZ monitor. I use this monitor for both PC and Xbox One gaming. I'm not getting the full performance out of my current parts because I run my games at 60fps due to the screen tearing. I would like to upgrade my PC because of the bottlenecking, however I would be running games at 60fps because screen tearing really annoys me, but then I wouldn't be getting the full performance out of my new parts... (I would be getting a core i7 6700k, 16gb of RAM and i haven't decided on the motherboard yet) It would also be nice to play new games that I can't currently play with my current specs. So now my problem lies here, do I upgrade my PC first or upgrade my monitor first. Any responses are greatly appreciated!

i saw some 10 series and rx series cards are on sale, so i want to get one to replace my old gtx970. i dont want to replace motherboard(because win10 is really expensive) so i cant replace my old i7-4790k to skylake or kabylake cpu. so here the question is, will my 4790k become a limit to gtx1060 or rx470?

So this is my first time building a PC and after some research and revision of my build draft I would like to hear some opinions on it. Open to any kind of suggestions for the build. Although I've done quite a bit of research, I'm still not sure about the compatibility of these components so would like clarification. The build is for gaming (Forza Horizon 3, Battlefield 1, etc) and some 3D animation work on a 1080p monitor as of now, might get a 1440p ultrawide some time later. I intend to overclock CPU and GPU. It is a white/black color scheme with x3 purple front fans. Build Draft: CPU: 1151 Intel i5 7600k 3.8GHz $276 GPU: ASUS Dual GTX 1060 OC 6gb $282 MOBO: ASRock z270 Killer SLI $138 RAM: Corsair Vengeance LED 16gb $148 CASE: Thermaltake View27 Mid-ATX $85 SSD: Crucial m.2 275gb MX300 $102 PSU: Super Flower Leadex Gold 550w $96 FAN: Corsair AF120 Purple x3 $37 CPUCOOLER: ID Frostflow 120L $62 Total $1226 (USD) I intend to upgrade the graphics card somewhere down the line, maybe when the Nvidia Volta series when they come out, so for now I'll go with a 1060. I'm trying to use as future proof components as possible. I am happy with the specs, just want some opinions and compatibility clarification. Thanks.

Hello, I have laptop MSI GE62VR, it has i7 6700hq that has 16 lanes and gtx 1060 3gb (desktop gare) GPU. I have added m.2 ssd (samsung 960 evo) and according to MSI specs it uses 4 lanes. CPU is cappable of running in 1x16, 2x8, 1x8+2x4 lanes modes according to intel site. I wonder when I added SSD I just forced it from 1x16 to 1x8+2x4 mode and probably "cut" some GPU lanes. Can it lower GPU performance? laptop spec and CPU spec https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GE62VR-6RF-Apache-Pro.html#hero-overview https://ark.intel.com/products/88967/Intel-Core-i7-6700HQ-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_50-GHz

I am looking for a portable gaming laptop with a 1080p display and a GTX 1060. I was pretty much sure of getting the base model of the Blade 14. But unfortunately the 1080p models are not available now. So now I am inclined towards the MSI GS63VR Stealth Pro.? Will the build quality of the MSI be too bad when compared to Razor ? I am expecting it to be at Razor's level but I don't want it to be too bad. Are there any heating issues with the MSI.? Also any idea about the new XPS 15? It know it only has a 1050Ti but is it worth it when I could get a 1060 around the same price.? I have spent a brief time with the XPS 15, so can anyone rate the build quality of MSI in comparison to the XPS.? Kindly drop in your suggestions and help me out.

So I finally built a new computer after around 5 years. Some basic specs are: Intel i5 6600k Nvidia GTX770 ASUS Z-170A MOBO 3TB HDD 256GB SSD Windows 10 As you can see my graphics card is out of date and I was wondering how reputable galax is? Since their prices are so much lower than all the other mainstream Graphics card manufactures.

So recently I've been trying to overclock my CPU and also GPU. I've got my i5-6600k to get to a nice 4.6 Ghz. I've been using AIDA64 to stress test my CPU and everything seems just fine. I ran the test for 9 hours and nothing failed on me. So I went on and overclocked my GPU. I used manual settings on the Gigabyte Extreme app and after playing games for awhile, my computer went into blue screen. I've set all settings back to default for my GPU and I'm abit terrified of doing anything to it now. How can I safely overclock my GPU and did I wrecked anything up to this point? PS. I've changed my fan settings too and my CPU temp is around 35 at idle and 50-60 on load. Is that temperature perfectly normal? hey I got two topics today. first off issue with cod infinite warfare. When i load multiplayer matches or campaign missions i will get stuck on loading screen of map/match. The loading bar stops right near the end and thats it never moves i have waited for ever to see if keeps loading but freezes. I had to close game complete and get the "enter safe mode" when i reopen. secondly, i have a GTX 660 2gb right now and well need an upgrade. Thinking either GTX 1050ti ore GTX 1060 6gb, leaning more towards the 1060. Is the performance improvement enough if i go to 1050ti or get the 1060. Also gpu will work on any motherboards right? also could that fix my COD issue. I have similar issue with csgo where sometimes it freezes on load screen and sometimes it works ( i have tried an infinite number of things to try and fix). Could me not being able to upgrade to windows version 1607 be related. It will install the update and ask to restart and after configuring and restarting show the update screen but then restart again. I need a new pc cpu i5 4670K 16gb ram ssd 120gb

Hi! I'm new to PC gaming but iv'e learned alot latley according to pc builds (it's addictive) jokes aside i have a question i hope you guys can help me with instead of running around the webb searching for my problem I have a Acer Predator g3-605 1,5gb. 1tb hard drive 8gb of ram and i switched out the nvidia 760 graphics card for a new ASUS rog strix gtx1060 oc 6gb gpu. As you may guess i wanted to run my games smooth on higher graphics since who doesn't want that? But when i installed the gpu and set eveything up i still game on the same fps with the same settings with my new gpu. So i started to wonder "well clearly it semms like my cpu and motherboard is maxed out" Since i know that if the cpu doesn't support the gpu's power the cpu cuts the power on the gpu to be able to handle the information process. I have an i5 4460 cpu (factory component) such as the rest of the pc except the gpu. To what my research have told me i have a FCLGA1150 socket and i wonder if i can just find any better cpu with that socket? or do i have to upgrade well both motherboard and cpu? Is it possible that there are other factors playing part of my problem? If you have the time and awnser i would appreciate the help since iv'e only own anything about pc gaming since November 2016 so this rookie needs a pro tip!

Hi everyone, My GPU doesn't use 100% while gaming. It recently started doing this and I don't know why. It isn't a bottleneck since my cpu is not always on 100%. It is with some games tough. The GPU uses around 20% to 70% percent while I'm gaming. It is not overheating or anything. I started FurMark and ran a stress test (furmark_000001 attached). The core clock was used 90% - 100%. But the memory clock was only used for about 6% to 10%. I don't know if this is normal or not. The low gpu usage happens with every game. I don't know what it can be so hopefully you guys can help me out. System specs are attached. If you need any more information please let know and I will provide it. Thanks!! ps: I did already ask this on Reddit and xXTonyManXx helped me a lot already. Maybe you can take a look so you know more about what we already tried. ps2: HERE is a recording of me playing BF1. Maybe it gives you a better idea of whats happening and what may be the cause. Hello all, I am on the market for a new GPU to play all games at 1080p Ultra at 60fps or more. I like to mod games and play games like fallout 4, BF4 ,BF1 GTA V, and Much more. My choice as of now is narrowed down to GTX 1060 6GB and RX 480 8GB. No custom cooler model yet picked on either. What one would you suggest and why? I cant decide.
