I have looked everywhere and even tried contacting gskill directly to try and get the full list of jedec specifications for the F4-3800C14Q-32GTZN ram kit with no results. It's the c14 3800 kit, if anyone has this kit installed could you please post a screenshot of it's stock jedec specs please.

I am completely new to PC building. Three questions: 1) I have a build guide that is revised from this and I have added the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro dummy RAM sticks (I like RGB. Please don't say it is pointless; that is not what I am asking) because I want to fill the empty ram slots. 2) I want to switch to G.Skill Trident Z but I don't know if they sell dummy ram sticks. 3) I have also heard 'Dual channel' and 'Quad channel', so if I get 4x8gb instead of 2x16gb, will it be better for my PC?

Hello, I have ASUS B450-I Gaming Motherboard & Seeking to purchase this Ram Kit from G.Skill - F4-3200C16D-32GTZR For Ryzen 3200x. Would this kit be compatible @ 3200MHz? I've looked up the Motherboard QVL doc & it wasn't listed & I've looked up G.Skill Chipset Comparability list and wasn't listed, But i'm wondering if anyone has had this same set up and has got it to work, Thank you

So far i have ordered a g.skill 32gb ram kit (f4-3600c16d-32gvkc) and an msi performance gaming x470 gaming plus max motherboard.(coolermaster mb511, corsair rm750 psu, gtx1660 6gb also on order[all of this will be with a 3600x) Looking through the motherboard manual, it says it's supported memory is up to 3466mhz. The ram I have is 3600mhz. Did i botch this up? Or will it run at 3466mhz?

I've been looking at some RAM and found these two: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB 3600MHz F4-3600C16D-16GVKC 16-19-19-39 https://www.newegg.ca/g-skill-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232880?Item=N82E16820232880 Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 3200MHz CMK16GX4M2Z3200C16 16-18-18-36 https://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_311_1326&item_id=113703 I don't really need 3600MHz but it would be nice to have and also I don't know much about die types. Any opinions of which is the better value?

Hello guys and ladies, I recently build a Computer using the following (relevant) parts: -MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC -AMD Wraith Prism stock cooler (by Cooler Master) -4x Corsair SP120 RGB fans (connected over RGB hub to JCorsair header on MoBo) -2 sticks of DDR4 g.Skill TridentZ RGB RAM -Razer DeathAdder Chroma (non Elite, non V2; normaly requires Synapse 2.0) -Razer Cynosa Chroma -Razer Goliathus Chroma I observed the following thing: I started this journey by fullfilling the wish to control my old Synapse 2.0 DeathAdder Chroma mouse with the recent version of Razer software(s). I encountered that using the Chroma Visualizer it is possible to sync keyboard, mouse and mousepad in different modes by applying "always on " and my "standard audio-device", setting visualization and background to the same effect and applying the same brightness. A little later I realized, that also my Wraith Prism CPU cooler was lit up in the representative colour(s). After clicking through the Razer Synapse tabs, i saw that under "connect" the "MSI_LED.exe" was deactivated. Checking MSI Mystic light, I realised, it was no longer controlling the RGB of the CPU cooler, and deactivating the "Game sync" mode, also added the MoBo and the g.Skill RAM LEDs to the synchronized LEDs. BUT, by deactivating Mystic lights "game sync", the MoBo seems to loose the configuration for my SP120 fans, which results in mostly off LEDs and alternating flickering. I observed such behaviour already on my primary system, when selecting the wrong sort of Corsair fans (e.g. HD, LL, etc.). So I assume, deactivating the "game sync" leads to the selection of the default sort of Corsair fans for the JCorsair header. Does anyone have a clue on how I can set my SP fans as default by modding MSI Mystic Light? Thanks in advance ;D PS. I could check for Corsair ML and LL fans, for beeing set as default... (Albeit ML fans are not selectable in Mystic Light)

Hello guys, I am looking for a RAM upgrade right now and I need your help. Right now I'm running a ryzen 1600 (3.8Ghz OC) on a Strix B350-F. I'd like to upgrade from my 2x4GB 2400 kit to something faster with more capacity. While searching, I came across a 16GB 3000 kit of G.Skill Trident Z neo and I love it. Model No: G.SKILL F4-3000C16D-16GTZN Will this run with my existing hardware? I heard that my platform is (or was?) a little picky with RAM and I'd like to hear your opinion/experiences before pulling the trigger. Thanks in advance.

Hello I have a problem with my memory clock I have g.skill trident z rgb 3600mhz cl16 16-18-18-39. I loaded the XMP profile in the BIOS but the memory only clocks at 3200mhz although 3600mhz is set. The 3200mhz is displayed in the bios, in HWINFO and in Cpu z. Then I got the ram at 3866mhz and 17-19-19-42 and then I was shown a memory clock of 3466mhz in all tools. I also noticed that with Prime95 whether xmp profile is activated or not after 10min a core stops after a main thread shows a fatal error. My cpu is the i5-9600kf and the motherboard is the gigabyte z390 aorus elite. I tried the BIOS versions f9 and f10c and had the problem with both. Would be super nice if someone could help me. The BIOS is completely stock and the CPU, motherboard and memory are new. I also don't have any components there to replace them in my setup which makes troubleshooting difficult

I built my PC back in January and have been enjoying it since. However, recently, I have been getting MEMORY_MANAGEMENT errors while playing videogames. Like Apex Legends and Doom Eternal. I contacted Microsoft support and he took a look at me motherboards QVL and noticed my memory is not listed there. Motherboard: Aorus X570-I Pro Wifi Memory: F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC [32Gb 3600Mhz G.Skill tridentZ Neo] The motherboard QVL for my CPU (Ryzen 5 3600) doesnt have my memory listed. But the memory QVL does have my motherboard listed. So, I am running into these memory management blue screens quite often while playing games and was wondering if I really do need to buy some new ram. And if so, which comparable one would work best? i.e. a 2 stick 32GB 3600Mhz ram. Memory QVL Motherboard QVL

Hey guysI just bought a bunch of new components and couldn't get the build to power on. I put everything together and couldn't get anything to power on, the PSU wouldn't even turn on when connected to the motherboard but would power on with the paperclip test. I couldn't jump the motherboard, tried different ram seatings, 1 stick of ram in different seatings, checked GPU on my old motherboard and double-checked PSU at the same time, made sure fans weren't shorting the motherboard. The only things I couldn't check individually were the RAM and CPU as my previous board is an intel B360 Gaming Plus board and only supports up to 2666mhz. I've returned the board and their testing team has said they couldn't replicate the fault and that the board has no issues. The components I bought wereGigabyte X570 gaming + motherboardAMD ryzen 7 3800x CPU16gb DDR4 FlareX ram @ 3200mhzThe components I added wereCougar GX800 V3 800W 80+ gold PSURX Vega 64Do you guys have any idea what could be causing the issue? need help urgentlyThanks in advance Should add that the PSU and GPU are in the computer I'm using now and working perfectly

I have tried several things and I don't know what to do. I can't even get into the BIOS because the board won't get pass the orange dram light on the board. I thought it was my RAM so I got some new RAM (Trident Z Neo 3600 16x2GB). They light up fine but the board sits there on the orange light and does nothing. I have no idea what to do. Please help.

Good day to everyone here on the LTT forums, I have a really stuck up other word for mean lady of a build here. Specs: GPU : Asus GTX 1080 TI ROG Strix (Minor OC with MSI afterburner) Motherboard : Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming CPU : AMD Ryzen 9 3900x (Clocked at 4.3ghz on all cores, 1.35V) RAM : G.Skill 32GB (4x8GB) Trident Z RGB DDR4 3600MHz CL16 (Clocked to 3733MHz, changed IF to correct specs) PSU : Asus 850w ROG Thor Platinium Cooler : Noctua NH-D15 Chromax.black SSD : Corsair 1tb Force MP600 SSD : Samsung 250gb 850 Evo Case : Cooler Master Masterbox 5 Other pc parts: (Might be good to know but just in case.) Mouse : Glorious PC gaming Race Model O- Keyboard : Ducky Shine 7 Monitor 1 : Benq 27" ZOWIE XL 2735 1440p 144hz (GPU, DP) Monitor 2 : Benq 24" ZOWIE XL2411 1080p 144hz (GPU, DP) Monitor 3 : Benq 24" ZOWIE XL2411p 1080p 144hz (GPU, DVI) Headset : Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO Webcam 1 : Logitech C922 Webcam 2 : Logitech C922 Microphone : Audio-Technica AT2020 Other : Elgato Stream Deck, Korg NanoKontrol2, Focusrite Scarlett Solo I would like to present you this monster that has been a complete pain in the behind sitting area, This pc has been build 6 months ago and did not work properly for that time being. As the system only had bad FPS I thought it was a Software problem or just something with the game, after a longer period and swapping components I am really not sure what is going on with this pc anymore and im considering an exorcist. As from the specs above you might have noticed this pc is being used for streaming and gaming for a decent amount of hours per day. We have tested this pc with multiple games and the same problem keeps on coming back. The FPS in idle can either be 400 fps in our main test game (Black desert Online) But it can also be stuck at 240 fps in idle and both were on very Low settings as max settings won't even go above 70 most of the time, it just is how the wind blows (Both in the same area under same conditions). Moment when grinding monsters in the game the FPS can either be well over 200 fps or barely keeping its head above 100 fps. Sadly it didn't stop here as in the other games like for example League of legends which literally only needs a potato to run the game wouldn't go over 150fps, minecraft (Yes minecraft) wouldn't budge over 55 fps. First the thought only occured that this only happened in games, sadly this was not the case as windows would always lag on start up like hell. More issues developed over time and it keeps on changing!? All issues as of now: - FPS not being stable at all and decreasing over time when playing, getting stuck at one point where restarting pc is the only option. - Very annoying Audio distortion when just listening to music or streaming. - Pretty much constant micro stutters as long as the PC is running. - GPU going to ~95% usage on games on very low settings, when this happens audio also breaks and gives massive lags to the pc itself. - The PC won't turn off 8/10 times, screens go black but PC keeps on running. (Event logger only tells there has been a unexpected shutdown) - PC randomly crashes whenever. General info: - CPU temps not getting above 67 degrees under load - GPU temps not getting above 66 degrees under load - RAM usage doesn't go over 30%, same goes for the CPU sticking to this. - Tried running the system without any clocks, clean bios, clean windows etc etc, same problems keep on happening. - Changed the PSU from a coolermaster 750w to the Asus ROG Thor 850w, at first it seemed to have fixed a lot but the moment starting the stream everything went out of the window again when talking about performance. Also got a Hard error. - Have tried multiple SSD's with clean windows installs - Power options are set to performance, Nvidia settings have been adjusted (Vsync off, multi threading etc etc) - Fast boot is off - All critical errors etc have been resolved in the Event logger, sadly didn't help. - Bluescreens stopped after swapping out 1 SSD (mp600) Parts that have been replaced: - RAM - CPU - Motherboard - PSU - Cooler - Monitors ~ Pretty much the only thing left is the GPU but that one seems to work fine in other rigs and under stress tests. Software that is being used: - OBS - Voicemeter Potato - Elgato streaming software - Discord (?) - Windows 10 - Black desert online (Game) It has shown that it can give massive amounts of power in whatever it is tasked to do, sadly it was only for short periods of time before everything went down to things it is almost not possible to use it for what it is intended to do. I am out of ideas, this has been a real battle and I have tried different components, different verions of drivers of CPU and GPU, different BIOS versions, older windows installs and nothing has been the solution. If I have forgotten to mention anything feel free to ask, I am open for suggestions even tho most of the solutions I found in the past 6 months have not worked (Talking about doing this every day for at least 3 hours). The one that is able to help me find this solutions gets a very big cookie.. Thank you for reading this long piece and hopefully someone is able to help me out here as it is starting to become a mental battle that is not anymore healthy and money is running out..

Hi, I have tried everything I can think of to get this working. It's a bit of a long winded situation that I will try and explain and I really hope someone can help. Before we get in to it, I am aware that the gigabyte software is SH@# but we have no other software to use to control the mobo lighting. My System Deets: Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic XL Corsair RM850i 850W 80 Plus Gold Certified Fully Modular Desktop Power Supply Gigabyte X570 AORUS MASTER AMD AM4 Rev 1.0 AMD Ryzen 9 3900X G.Skill F4-3600C16D-32GTZRC Trident Z RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3600MHz CL16 Samsung MZ-V7S1T0B 970 EVO Plus 1TB NVMe M.2 2280 Western Digital WD4003FFBX Pro Red 4TB SATA Galax GeForce RTX 2080 Ti HOF 28IULBUCV6HF 11GB GDDR6 NZXT RL-KRX72-01 Kraken X72 360mm All-In-One Closed Loop CPU Cooler 7X Corsair CO-9050041-WW ML120 Pro 120mm Fans Corsair CL-9011110 Commander Pro All-In-One Controller Windows 10 Professional 64Bit 1909 (OS Build 18363.592) BIOS Version is latest F11 (Release date: 2019-12-09) Nothing has been OC'd as yet So, yesterday I noticed that everytime I tried opening the RGB Fusion app, it would say "Please Wait..." and then just exit. the same would happen with the Trident Z lighting control Software. So I started the whole troubleshooting saga and eventually Completely uninstalled ALL Gigabyte software and G.Skill Trident Z Lighting Control Software. I used CCleaner to remove any remnants of files and cleaned up the registry as well. I also manually scanned my entire drive for an anything related to RGB Fusion and G.Skill I then reinstalled the RGB Fusion software and I was surprised to see it work. However, NOW I can only control my mobo RGB and not the RAM. The RAM is now stuck on RAINBOW. So I figured, well I don't care, I will anyway control the RAM using the Triden Z Lighting Control software but when I started the G.Skill app, it also opened now but shows NO RAM sticks to manage. So then I realise that the RAM is now not being detected. And so I start becoming concerned that maybe CCleaner has borked my drivers or OS or something but then I realised that this all started BEFORE I touched CCleaner so..... I shut the machine down, removed and reseated the RAM sticks and tried again....NOTHING Then I shut the machine down, cleared the CMOS and reset the BIOS settings and tried again....NOTHING I then ran sfc /scannow from the command line as administrator....NOTHING I then ran DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth from the command line as adminstrator....NOTHING I tried REINSTALLING the Chipset drivers and reboot....NOTHING Then I look over to the LED display on my Galax 2080 ti HOF and notice that the display info is not showing. So... I check if the Xtreme Tuner software is running and it is. So I open up the app and exit it and restart it and the LED display STILL shows NOTHING. So now I am at a loss...I don't know where to from here.... Has anyone got ANY suggestions for me?? I would really appreciate someones help here.

I'm looking at upgrading my PC to a 3900X and will need to purcahse some RAM. I have heard that Ryzen 3rd gen favours high clockspeeds and low latency. I've been looking at the G.Skill Trident Z RGB for styling, and can purchase the following RAM, but am not sure which would be best. G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (16GB x 2) 3200MHz CL14-14-14-34 - F4-3200C14D-32GTZR - £250 G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (16GB x 2) 3200MHz CL15-15-15-35 - F4-3200C15D-32GTZR - £218 G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (16GB x 2) 3600MHz CL16-19-19-39 - F4-3600C16D-32GTZRC - £180 I've had trouble locating sellers of the G.Skill RAM in the UK, but these are what I have found so far. Ideally I'd like to overclock the RAM to 3600MHz, is the CL14 kit worth the price difference? Which of these would is best paired with the 3900X, and which would you suggest is the better to go for?

Then audio stutter happened. I first thought it was my graphics card (different from the one above) it was an Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Windforce, because i had some issues when i first got it, so i decided to upgrade a little anyway hoping that would fix my problem, come install, it did not. Now I am at an impass unsure of how to fix this I've run a mem test aswell to see if the issue was memory but nothing came up with an error. please help me i will provide any other necessary information, Thank you.

So the story goes like this, It worked fine with both G.skill & MSI mystic light software when I finished building my PC. But after a week, I wanted to cycle my ram through 2 colors, which you can't with the G.skill & MSI software. So, after a bit of research, I've read an old post (2017) somewhere on Reddit or some other forums posted that you can download & use Asus aura sync on an MSi motherboard to control the trident z RGB lighting, and the aura software supported 2 color cycling. So just like that, I went to Asus's website & downloaded the Aura Sync software (yes I'm kinda an idiot for doing this). But when I tried install the software it went halfway & stuck at AaC.HAL or something close to that. In the end, I just canceled the installation and leave it be. After that I've noticed that my RAM can't change color nor can be recognized by both software.UPDATE: Tried my RAM on a friend's PC who uses an ASUS Strix B450-F Mobo, G.skill software won't work on the RAM either but the Asus Aura Sync Software recognized the RAM & able to change colour. What I've tried :-Delete & Removing anything that is related to Asus (Manually & used CCleaner too)-Uninstalling & reinstalling G.Skill software & MSI Mystic Light software-Re-seated the RAM-Uninstalling all RGB software from the computer & reinstalling G.skillSpecification :MOBO : MSI B450 Carbon Pro ACCPU : Ryzen 7 2700XGPU : Gigabyte GTX 1070 Windforce OCRAM : G.skill Trident Z NEO 32GB 3600MHZ

I’m planning an AMD Gaming build and trying to stay around $1350 - $1450 CDN. I will be gaming on a 1080p 144hz monitor and I would like to game at ultra or a bit lower if needed. I’ve narrowed it down to an almost complete plan, but I was wondering if anyone had opinions on things to change or what to do maybe to save some money or increase performance. Here’s the build. CPU : AMD RYZEN 5 3600 - $260 CDN Motherboard : none chosen. Please give good choices (around $180 CDN) GPU : RADEON RX 5700 XT - $550 CDN RAM : G.SKILL Trident Z RGB 16GB (2x8) DDR4 3000Mhz - $120 CDN (it’s expensive but I would prefer RGB ram, but I could sacrifice it if it helps) Storage : WD Blue 500GB SSD - $95 CDN Power Supply : Corsair 550W 80 Plus Gold - $110 CDN Fans : 2 Corsair 120mm case fans - $30 if you Think anything can be changed for more or less to improve gaming performance, or if I’ve chosen anything that’s a bit overkill, please let me know. Thanks!!

Before I upgraded to my Ryzen 5 3600, I bought a 32gb kit of Trident Z RAM. I had a Gigabyte Aorus z370 motherboard at the time, and the RGB synced perfectly using RGB Fusion. But when I finally upgraded to my MSI X570 Gaming Edge Wifi board with Ryzen, the RGB is stuck on Rainbow Wave and it is not detected by the MSI Mystic Light software. Nor can I find it under my Corsair software that controls my AIO (not sure if this is normal or not, the cooler was installed the same time as the mobo/cpu) But I also tried installing the G.Skill app, and I can't change any settings there either. The RAM is detected just fine with CPU-Z. I did read that RGB software can conflict with each other so I did try to uninstall one and try the other and visa versa with no effect. I tried swapping the sticks around also. Getting deeper into research, I discovered that it might be an issue with the RAM's SPD, so I downloaded Tiaphoon Burner, however is says my CRC is ok. (Also pretty sure my MSI board doesn't have an SPD write function... I looked all over for it.) Here is the kicker. I still have the old z370 board. I plugged it in, and the RAM synced right up with RGB Fusion, just like before. If the SPD *is* corrupted, can someone please give me a comprehensive, very noob-friendly walkthrough so that I can hopefully get it fixed confidently? Thanks!

So I completed my build today and I'm facing a ridiculous problem. Whenever I restart my PC from BIOS Setup or Windows it doesn't POST anything. Sometimes it boots but doesn't POST (I guessed it by watching ram's rgb profile changed which I made). But if I completely shut it down and after a few seconds turn it on, it posts and boots perfectly. And all the components just works fine. I ran some games and didn't notice any problems. It's not a ram problem I am sure. I tested both rams individually and both of them were working perfectly. But none of them were able to reboot my pc. So I guess the problem is somewhere else. I also reset BIOS using the button. It didn't help either.PLEASE HELP,My rig:Mobo: MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGECpu: RYZEN 7 3700XRam: G. Hi everyone, I am in desperate need of help. I got some new RAM and a new mobo and now my Windows 10 install appears to have corrupted itself (again). I have gone through all my motherboard settings (Fast Boot, UEFI vs Legacy, etc.). My RAM is fully detected, installed properly, and functional. I have tried to boot from a recovery USB (still freezes). MemTest86 completely locks up when running. I am really at my wit's end as to what to do short of wiping my drive and starting fresh. Would any of you fine people have any suggestions? Any help is appreciated. Honestly, if I just need to wipe the drive and start fresh I will do that. I just need to know if I'm overlooking something here. Hello everyone, So I have been thinking & looking to build a new rig & have a bazillion questions. But I'll start with RAM: My platform of choice is a Ryzen 3700x with Asus TUF Gaming MB. Here's my understanding of RAM frequencies for this: according to this graph (attached image below), the so-called "sweet spot" for Zen 3 RAM is 3733Mhz at CL17. Many people choose to buy 3600Mhz CL16 because it's a lot more readily available & cheap than 3733CL17. I have been looking at G.Skill 32GB (2x16) 3600CL16 that I should be able to get around 225€. However I just stumbled upon a pretty cheap Patriot Viper 3733CL17, but it's not on the Zen 3 list of supported RAMs ( pdf here ). Comments on Amazon do say there is zero compatibility issue though. This is a 2x8GB set so I would want to double that to get 32GB ( 2 x 86€ = 172€ total ). So my questions are: - Is this a good opportunity to get a native 3733CL17 for a good price? Is frequency more important than brand? The chip brand isn't disclosed but there are hints that this is a Hynix kit rather than a Samsung. Is Patriot a reputable/reliable RAM brand? - Should I instead stick with 3600CL16 with a bigger brand like G.Skill & pay 53€ more? - Are there performance differences between 2 sticks of 16GB and 4x8GB? If yes, what are they? - Might I try to find a 3600CL17 instead, and overclock it to 3733Mhz? I'm no overclocking expert, but it should be doable, wouldn't it? Again, keep in mind the 53€ difference, that not negligible. Thank you all for the help! P.S.: the G.Skill 3600CL16 is Samsung 16-16-16-36, the Patriot Viper is claimed at 17-19-19-39, the G.Skill 3600CL17 is Samsung 17-19-19-39. EDIT: modified title according to comment below.

Hello, I am in the process of picking ram for a build. This will be my first build so excuse my ignorance and incorrect terminology. My current parts are Ryzen 3700x with an asrock x570 taichi. I have been doing a bit of research on ryzen zen 2 and ram. I was looking at following amd's price/perf recommendation of 3600 mghz cl16. I have my eyes set on some G.skill trident Z neo 3600 Mhz ram 4x8gb. The G.skill ram I am looking at hasHynix J chip However, I have read that ryzen does well with the samsung B-die. Does the chip make any difference for performance if they are both on the QVL? https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/X570 Taichi/#MemoryMS

I have a 32gb set of 4(8gb each) Ram sticks from G.skillz. Memory Model F4-3200C16Q-32GVK I've had ram boot problems with my x99 Gigabyte Ultra Gaming rev 1.0 Motherboard for 2 years. I followed the memory module input slots from the manual. Basically my computer will run stable with 8gb of Ram, But once i get the Windows to run either 16gb 24gb or 32gb. My computer instantly power shuts down. I have a water cooler and i watch the temps off everything (ram, cpu, gpu and my psu is not hot at all) I have a 850 eva that i tested on another pc and it works. My cpu is 45c when the power is lost, and my gpu is 50c when the power is lost. I have to run my Ram sticks at 1.35v or my mobo won't even boot into windows. The mhz cant be more than 2800mhz or it won't boot even at 1.35volts. Yes i tried all types of volts and mhz. The ram sticks get ot about 41c, im not sure if thats too high or what. Every stick of Ram works when its single. Like i said, if i have 2 or more sticks installed, the PC with run for 10 mins before i have to unplug them to run it again. Yes, this set of Ram sticks is on the QVL for the Mobo. Has anyone had this type of problem before?
