Hey dear LTT Comunity. So it´s been quite a while since i started to look for a new Monitor. I´ve got two 24" 1080p Monitors and my new main monitor should be bigger and sharper. Since i buy a monitor once and have it for quite a long time i want it to be 27", QHD..2560x1440, more than 60hz and..i just feel like i realy just want it.. curved. I´m not playing competetive shooters so i dont need 1ms reaction time, but i want nice colors and contrast. Why is it so hard for me to find such a monitor? I´m obviously not going for a 27" 1080p monitor. I don´t want 4k. i don´t want a Panel with super fast response times but lousy colours. Do you maybe know some models wich fullfill my specs? All for 330$usd (429cad) All of the reviews seem amazing minus some colour complaints. Thoughts? Seems like the best budget monitor ever!

I happen to own a monitor that is always on sale for a little less than the one shown today and its much more color accurate to boot. Can someone recommend a nice freesync gaming monitor under $300, runs at 144hz, has a displayport input, is vesa mountable, and is preferably a curved ultra wide but i am willing to stick to a curved widescreen.

Hello LTT Forum! Long time watcher of the show, first time posting. So, I'm looking for something specific to finish out my new computer and I'm having trouble finding exactly what I want... So I figured maybe someone on here is more savvy then I. I'm looking for a 27 in. or more Monitor. (Liking the widescreen possibility, but not necessary.) Curved 2k (2560 x 1440 or something like 3440 x 1440?) (Don't need 4k, but if its there and meets everything else, then sure) 120 hz refresh g sync ( or free sync and I'll download the drivers I need to make it work with my Nvidia card ) anti glare ( I have a big window in my house and this is a Must ) 5 ms response or better 3000:1 static contrast ratio or more brightness 250cd/m or more 16.7M colors or more At least 1 Display port (pref 2 for future sli upgrade) Budget: Don't Care Audio: Nice but not 100% necessary Weight, dimensions, stand, etc.: Don't care Other inputs to monitor: Don't care Power: Don't care RGB on the back??? Don't care I've been looking around everywhere and I just can't find something that fits all my needs. I'd really like to keep these standards but I may have to give up and drop a few of my requirements Thank you soo much for anyone reading and willing to help (Edit: I just found out that you can add an anti glare screen film to a monitor? I've never heard of this, but would definitely that this as an alternative if I could get recommendations on brand / type stuff)

Anyone else have three (3) Samsung 27" Curved monitors? If so, have you mounted them on a stand? If yes, which? I'm having a hell of a time finding a stand that is of high quality build construction that can support these side-by-side in a long curve, with a solid clamp to a desktop surface. Most of the ones I have found barely accommodate 27" x 3 in roughly a straight line. Add the angle to the mix to achieve the curve, and it seems like a serious PITA. Why are there no TVs or Monitors that have a curved edge?

We have known phones for so long having curved edges, like the Galaxy s7 being one of the first, years ago. That is an OLED display, so I assume that this doesn't exclude TVs... right? Or maybe even monitors? I was searching all over YouTube, on the LTT channel (this can be a really great topic for them to do a video on!), and even on the forum with little or no talk about this. I really don't understand why that this cannot be a technology feature. It would make TVs and monitors much more immersive and good looking to view. And if anything, TVs and monitors haven't had any real upgrades in years in terms of how they have looked, ever since flat screen TVs and thinner monitors. Perhaps now more recently, monitors viewing angles are curved, but they always still have bezels. By curving the display's edges, there would be no need for bezels as the screen itself would be the bezel. Also, how far could we curve the edge? For Samsung phones, it only seems to get at like a 45 degree angle. Why can't we curve it all the way to 180 degrees? And for monitors and TVs? I might be totally wrong on my interpretation here. Please let me know about what is going on in the display market, why curved edge displays and TVs aren't a thing yet, and why the current curvature of phone displays' edges only goes to 45 degrees. Also, is it only on OLED displays? Or can other displays be used as well, if not more efficiently? -
Hey, I just wanted to ask if someone has the Alienware AW3420DW in hand and can make a solid review. Since there is only 1 store in germany that can ship it right now I didn't find anything valuable about it. Just wanted to know how the nano ips panel does in comparison to the older AW3418DW because I need so switch my Monitor asap

Hi, I am looking for monitor to buy in next 2-3 weeks for my PC (i7 8700k, 1080ti). What I need is IPS panel, ultrawide, curved (1800 or 1500r), 100Hz, 1440p resolution, about 34 inch. The best result I have found so far is ACER Predator x34p. Better option, I think, would be Alienware AW3418DW, but it is too expensive to me. Is there any other options to consider in Your opinion? The monitor will be used for games (5ms is ok for me), movies, sometimes video editing etc. Image quality is important to me.

I'm on the lookout for a new main monitor for my setup, a 1440p 144Hz screen. The issue I'm dealing with right now is, is if I should choose a 23,5" non-curved screen, or a 27" curved screen. Both are 1440p and 144Hz, it's just if it's worth the extra ~€70,- that I'd be spending. The monitors in question are these two (but if you've got a better one, feel free to show it to me): - AOC AGON AG241QX (23,8" / 1440p / 144Hz / TN panel / 1 ms) - MSI Optix MAG27CQ (27" / 1440p / 144Hz / VA panel / 1 ms) I do have a link to comparing the two monitors side-to-side with a full specs list of both monitors, but it's in Dutch. Ive recently moved my PC from my desk and now have enough space to have another monitor, ive figured a dual curved monitor setup would be good because ive got a corner table and it would look better than 2 flat monitors. A lot of answers below other threads said things like 'the viewingangles are not good for dual monitors and the bezels are too big on most curved monitors for gaming' but i wouldnt want to use the second monitor for gaming anyways, id want to use it for productivity, i dont have a curved monitor either to know how the viewingangles are. So whats your guys opinions? Curved or flat?

Is Nvidia, so was thinking G-Sync and monitor size over 25inch. I saw online that this laptop can hit frames of about 140. He also wants one that is curved for gaming.

I wanted to get a new 1440p 144 Hz monitor. Don't have that big of a budget though, I came across this 350 euro Va panel from samsung called: LC27JG50QQU, it's also called the CJG5 It also to happen to be curved. Soo I need to buy new monitor but I can't find the perfect one. I need curved monitor , minimum 27 inch, minimum 1440p , 16:9 or 21:9 , 125% sRGB , G-sync (not necessary). Anyone know good monitor who comply with these requirements. P.S. I like Asus products

I found this monitor on a Belgian online shop and was wondering if it is anything good. It goes for 499€ at the moment, seems cheap to me. SPECS: 34inch VA 3440x1440p Freesync 4ms respons time 100Hz refresh rate Curves And the design ain’t bad either. What do you guys think, you should I go for it or are there better deals? im planning to buy a ultrawide curved monitor with g-sinc on black friday but im torn witch to buy: 1. my picks for the moment are: acer predator z35p or x34p and the Asus ROG SWIFT PG348Q 2. Witch is currently the best curved ultrawide with g-sinc monitor on the market? PS: i also found the AOC Agon AG352UCG but i dont know the company and im sceptic

can i use a 21:9 ultrawide with a console and use the whole 21:9 display with it? i once tried to use a 1080p monitor with my xbox one and the graphic was abysmal. is there a difference between tv and monitor?

i have 2 24 inch benq monitrors and want a 34 inch curved ultrawide added! my question is there a stand that can support a ultrawide in the middle and 1 of my monitors on each side? having 3 monitors and all 3 have a stand looks not very good!

I recently purchased a 24" curved monitor from Acer (Acer ED242QR), unfortunately it is not Vesa compatible. I did some browsing and found mount adapters that go around the bezel of the screen, but there are 2 issues I have come up with. 1. Will the adapter overlap the screen due to the thin bezel? 2.Will the monitor wobble in the adapter due to being curved? With these questions I also have the issue of finding a Vesa mount that is even compatible with a curved monitor since most of them say "Not recommended for curved monitors" or "NOT COMPATIBLE WITH CURVED MONITORS." Hi, I'd like to invest in a good widescreen curved monitor going between 32" up to 34" (or 35"). I'm not into gaming, so I don't need best of refresh rate, it's meant for 2D and 3D content creation with (non-professional) video editing. I'm not asking for a 5K iMac 27" quality, but as close as it can get without completely emptying my pockets. 34" I see positive comments concerning the LG - 34UC89G-B and the Samsung - C34F791 but I'm open to any suggestion (they are a bit pricey though). 32" For a decent 32", how about the Samsung - C32F391 ? I'd let myself be tempted by the Samsung C32HG70, which is getting great reviews, although the PWM technology is said to fatigue the eyes ... But this review https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/samsung/chg70 states this : So I'm confused. Is this going to give me eye-fatigue or not ? Just stumbled on the announcement of a very promising 32" monitor from Samsung : the C32JG52, 32" WQHD Curved Gaming Monitor with 144hz refresh rate Worth the wait ? I already have a Sapphire Radeon RX Vega 56 Pulse GPU.

Hi, im from italy and i wanted to upgrade my current monitor. i got a good pc, i reach 120ish fps on games like overwatch at maximum settings so i wanted to find a good monitor. the budget is around 250 euros (290 us dollars). if you could help me find it, that would be awesome. i saw this on amazon and i think its good but i wanted a second opinion
