Hello, so recently i’ve Been looking to get into VR. Little back story, I have had my 1050ti for about a year and 1/2 and it has lived up to my expectations. 144+ frames in overwatch, Minecraft, fortnite, and many other games I play. Recently Minecraft has been getting bigger and I have been enjoying it again, and I want to try something new with it and VR is that new step. if anyone can tell me that purchasing a VR is a good decision to play some easy VR games, or that I should get a better graphics card before this. Thanks

Hello everyone, I've recently bought GTA 5 because I saw that it was running smoothly on other laptops with the same specs as mine. I downloaded it and played it; only to be disappointed. I never get those frames that I saw no matter the settings (I tried the lowest setting, with the lowest resolution, still no difference) so I tried monitoring it with MSI afterburner. To my surprise, the GPU usage was very low and there were only 2 cores that were going above 70%. Whenever the GPU usage goes high, my framerates will also gain a few and vice versa. I tried this with my other games (Dota 2, CS:GO) and the GPU usage was also low but I was not surprised because those games are not demanding GPU wise. I hope you can help me fix this problem. If it were CPU bottleneck, what can I do to improve it? I play plugged in. I have tried: • Clean install of Graphics Card • Updating basically everyting (BIOS, Audio Drivers, Display Drivers, etc.) • Disabled HPET • Tweaked NVIDIA Control Panel (Prefer Maximum Performance, Single Display Mode) • Clean install of Windows 10 • Reinstalled the game • Undervolted the CPU and disabled Turbo • Power Settings on High Performance • Diabled VSync in game and forced it in NVIDIA • Disabled all anti-aliasing setting Laptop Specs: ASUS ROG GL553VE Intel Core i7-7700HQ NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti 16GB DDR4 RAM 128GB SSD + 1000GB HDD Disabled Turbo, -0.100V Undervolt With Turbo, No undervolt Thanks!

I just purchased a HP CX0056WM laptopHere are the Specs:Intel i5-8300H, NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti8GB RamWindows 10I was actually pretty excited because I found it on sale for $250 at Walmart through brickseek. I’ve been wanting to build a cheap gaming PC for sometime but when I saw this deal I couldn’t pass it up. This is my first gaming pc and Im completely lost. I’m experiencing low (Around 30%) CPU and GPU usage in every game I’ve tried and having horrible frame rate (Around 15-25FPS)Temps are under 50 degreesI’ve turned power settings in windows to maximum performance and set the Nvidia as the preferred card in the NVIDIA control panel. I’ve also selected to prefer performance in those settings as well. I’ve tried updating the GPU drivers directly from NVIDIA and through HPs website. I’ve tried uninstalling the drivers with DDU and reinstalling. In fact the best performance I’ve had is when I reverted back to the default drivers through the HP recovery utility. Games I’ve tried:GTA V: When opening for the first time it warned me that my system did not meet the minimum requirements despite it meeting the recommended requirements. Ran benchmark test on high settings, averaged 22-30FPS however the 1050ti card was at 2% usage??? The integrated intel GPU was at 0%Squad: Lowest settings averaging 15-20FPSBeam NG: varied different times I ran the game. Averaged 20FPS on low settings, however sometimes I can get 50FPS on high settings. Very inconsistent. Minecraft: For the sake of testing, ran at 25FPS on LOWEST settings. Another strange thing, in every game I play adjusting the graphic settings from high to low does not make a difference in FPS but will show a huge decrease in GPU usage. So I’ll go from %60 to 30% GPU usage but the FPS will stay the same (under 30FPS)I wish I knew more, idk if it’s a hardware issue or what but I really hope someone can guide me in the right direction. Thank you in advance!

I have a pc, which has: * Intel Core i7-7700 * GTX 1050ti * Monitor with a resolution of 1440x900 * 16 GB RAM (2400 Mhz) I want to upgrade my monitor. I would like to buy a FHD monitor. But my concerns are: * Is there going be a performance drop? When I play CS:GO there is a constant 220-230 FPS on ultra (Overclocked). If I buy a 1080p monitor * How much fps will go down?

So I decided to install Linux Mint Cinnamon on my laptop coming from Windows 10 because I was bored with it and wanted something fresh and I am absolutely loving it and I don't know why I didn't do it earlier. Now that I've come over and really liked it I'm heavily considering converting my gaming machine to Linux as well but from what I've seen on gaming-oriented Distros is that they're exclusively for gaming, no extra functionality for word processing, web browsing and so forth. I know I more games on Steam run well on Linux then ever before and I can use Wine and/or PlayonLinux but I don't want to choose a Distro that hinders gaming performance. If it helps at all my gaming rig has a Ryzen 5 2600 (stock clocks), 16GB of 3000MHz G.Skill RAM and a 1050Ti (which I intend to upgrade soon). I am a relative newbie with Linux but I'm more than happy to do some work in the terminal. Any help would be greatly appreciated, have a good Sunday afternoon.

Hey guys! I'm getting a good deal by replacing my current 1050Ti to a 1060 3GB. I don't have that much money to buy the 6GB Version but i can get the 1060 3GB so that 6GB card is not an option ! With that said, I know the 1060 3GB will give me better gaming performance than the 1050Ti but exactly how much? And how less does it performs from it's big brother (6GB 1060)? I'm just having this last talk before buying! Will it be worth it to buy the 3GB 1060 in exchange of 1050Ti? THANKS!

If i use 2200g with (rx 570 or gtx 1050ti or gt 1030) in my system then will i make any use of the igpu in 2200g ? Or will it just sit jobless in presence of high discreet gpu? And if so should i change to 1300x? I am tight in budget !! Only combos i can use are 1. 2200g or 1300x +( rx570 or gtx1050ti). 2. 2400g + gt 1030 3. Or any combos you can suggest in this range? I need a mid range pc to play mid to high game(FPS like cod, bf, etc )in medium setting and a little bit of productive like (photo editing, video editing ( max 15 to 30seconds for adds), web designing).

Hello. I've spent the last week thinking and monitoring but I can't really come to a solution. On most of my games, I am getting these weird fps drops. Let's say I am playing GTA V on the settings I always play on, averaging about 70 fps, then the fps drop to about 20 for a minute and go back up again. That happens in multiple games, in some more than others. I also can't stream anymore, I used to love to stream MSC, but now I get these drops. So, my rig isn't really high end but it is still good. It's got an FX-8370 Wraith that is usually running 4,5 GHz, MSI GTX 1050TI running about 1920mHz (no voltage increase), 8 GB of HyperX Fury RAM, 1TB Western Digital HDD. I have this overclock since last year and at the time I did a lot of testing to make sure it's fine, so I don't think the problem is caused by that. I also took it off to see if that helps, it didn't. I have spent the most of the week monitoring sh*t and I really haven't gotten to a conclusion. GPU temps are fine, CPU temps are mostly fine as well, I defragmented the hard drive and optimized it. The interesting thing about these drops is that when they happen, the usage seems to go down. MSC isn't really much for this computer, but I'm still playing on 20fps with 50% CPU usage, 30% GPU usage, 53% RAM and 3% disc. I checked the BIOS, all seems fine with that. Usually, when something is causing the system to lag, you can see what is getting the most usage and need upgrading/changing. This time I've got no idea. In some games, the drops don't happen tho, the most interesting of them- Rust. Rust usually tends to be one of the games that really take a lot from your computer, but here it is good. I can play it on ''Good'' graphics settings with steady 58-60fps without any drops, even tho it maxes out my CPU and GPU usage. I was thinking of past problems that might have caused this and the only thing I can remember is that sometimes under hard use I would get a bluescreen, that would usually be when playing Rust or GTA V and would be either the SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION BSOD or the MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSOD. I don't remember how I fixed that at the time, but I did and I haven't had them ever since (it was 'bout a year ago). Thanks, any help is appreciated.

Hi folks, I wanted to kindly get some opinions about a good monitor for mixed use (HDMI for Xbox, DP for PC / gaming + work) IPS in the $300-400 range and between 27 to 32". There are so many options out there both from large and small manufactures that I'm getting a bit overwhelmed and unsure about making the right choice. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thank you B.

Got my HP Spectre x360 today. Its the late 2018 model with the following specs and gem cut design : Processor: Intel I7 8750H hexa-core processor @2.20Ghz Video Card: Geforce 1050Ti with Max-Q Design & Intel 630 via Optimus Technology Memory: 16GB LPDDR3 (Dual Channel) Storage: 256GB Toshiba M.2 NVMe SSD [Soon to be upgraded to 1TB Crucial P1 M.2 NVMe SSD] Display: 4K WLED Display @60Hz Battery: 6-cell, 84 Wh Lithium-ion Battery Color: Poseidon Blue Ports: 2x USB Type-C™ Thunderbolt™ 3 (supports HP Sleep & Charge, DP1.4, PD 3.0, Data Transfer); 1x USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A (HP Sleep and Charge); 1 HDMI; 1 headphone/microphone combo Additional Features: Fingerprint Reader, IR Camera w/ Windows Hello, Intel® 802.11b/g/n/ac (2x2) Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® 5 Combo(MU-MIMO supported) Basically, I am testing this laptop and so far I've had it for a few hours and it is AMAZING. Not a single complaint, but I know that this laptop comes in many models and no one has really done a solid 100% review of this laptop. I am not a content creator but I am more than willing to answer any questions at all or run tests and provide results for anything that anyone with questions about this laptop would like to request. Please let me know what you'd like to know/see and I will provide. So far this post is pretty spot on https://www.reddit.com/r/spectrex360/comments/9xzllv/gemcut_hp_spectre_x360_15_i7_8750h_gtx_1050ti_maxq/?sort=new Below are some section specific corrections/additions to what is mentioned in the post above : -[Thermals - 5/5] So far, I have not done any extensive thermal testing so I will update this section once I have more information; However, within the few hours I've had it, I did a simple league game just to test and for the duration of a 32minute league game, this laptop did not exceed 75c. Will update soon, and anyone who would like specific thermal tests please let me know below -[Wireless Connectivity - 5/5] I did a wifi speed test on Xfinity 150mb/s internet ( not ISP equipment, but using Ubiquiti equipment ) from two rooms away and got a perfect 168mb/s down and 12mb/s upload. Went all over my house and even outside the front door and found absolutely no disconnections/slowdowns. So far so good, again if you've got any specific scenario or more extensive testing you'd like please let me know and it will be done otherwise I may not look further into this but will inform if I come across anything on everyday usage at home and elsewhere. -[Keyboard - 5/5] I may just be sucking off HP here, but this keyboard is AMAZING. Best laptop keyboard I have EVER used. Spectre line has always been praised for its keyboard but this one is honestly top of the charts. It feels really good, and while it may take some getting used to because of the island num pad causing the trackpad to be a bit off-center, if that isn't a turn-off for you or if you are willing to get used to it ( i did within a few hours tops ) then you will be 100% satisfied with this keyboard. Amazing, and I 100% agree with the reviewer it is awesome. [Sound - 3/5] Honestly, i am not the keenest person when it comes to audio quality so with that being said... I love these speakers. Sound solid, there isn't much bass but at least they are pretty loud without any distortion (fill up my room, which is larger than most I'd think since I work from home and have my "office" in one corner while I have a TV, couch, bed, walk-in closet, bathroom and still enough space to workout comfortably with a bench press on the side of the room). -[Battery Life ?/5] Still needs to be tested, so far I charged it to 100% out of the box and have been using it for the past 6 hours straight, it is currently at 45% and I have completely set up windows, downloaded a few programs like chrome, discord, etc and I also ran crystal disk and played one 32min league of legends game. Brightness is at 60%. Again, any specific tests you'd like just let me know! Okay. So, hit me with those questions and requests! I will be actively checking this post (at least for the next few weeks) so feel free, I will be guaranteed to reply within a maximum of 24 hours ( honestly might reply within minutes if I'm sitting at my desktop or on the laptop ) I would also like to request Linus review this laptop at some point... I honestly believe that you guys would be blown away and give a 8 or 9 out of 10 recommendation for the lowest... Maybe if this gets enough attention they might consider it, but either way, I love you guys

So I got an XPS 9570 with a 1050Ti. For some reason, the GPU no longer works. I've tried a DDU, then a full reinstall of windows, and the only record of a discrete GPU is in Task Manager, where there's always 0% usage on the 1050Ti. I thought it was a software issue, but after the reinstall, I'm fearing that it could have somehow become detached from the motherboard. Please help, thanks.

Hello guys I need help concerning my Asus Gtx 1050 ti It crashes in every game and freezes the pc, when I look at the statistics in MSI Afterburner it shows that it reaches 100% GPU usage and crashes the entire system when I enter in a game. Someone told me to lower from the core clock, and I used msi afterburner for it and it worked, now my gpu clock is 1186 Mhz instead of default 1291Mhz and works fine. But I need to know why do I need to lower from the core clock memory in order for my graphics card to run without crashing in games ? and is it a sign that it's dead or just a technical issue ?

Hello, I am looking forward to building a new PC for myself. I'll mainly do Illustrator, Photoshop and some lite blender modelling. Even if I game, it'll be low 1080p but that's not my main focus. I am from Bangladesh, very few parts actually ship here. I can't decide whether to go for- 1. An i3-8100 on Gigabyte B360M DS3H paired with 1050Ti OC - 4GB and Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400MHz 4GBx2 which in total would cost me 43500BDT or 2. A Ryzen 5 2400g on Gigabyte B450M DS3H with Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz 8GBx2 which in total would cost me 39500BDT. (no 3200MHz 4GB sticks available here.) Now can anyone help me choose? I may upgrade my build with a 1060 6gb a few months later.

Hi, I have a Acer Predator Helios 300 with GTX 1050ti. In past month my gpu has started under-performing. In games in which I used to get around 55fps now I am getting 10-13fps (farcry 5). I monitored using MSI afterburner while bench-marking the game. My GPU temps were around 50C but gpu usage was around 100%. I am trying to avoid to go to service center as my laptop is out of warranty. Is there anything that I might be missing or is my graphic card is done for? Any suggestions will be useful. Thanks

I'm looking for a gaming laptop with a 1050ti 4GB for around $800 on Black Friday. Asus, Acer, HP, MSI, and Dell all make a laptop in that range with that graphics card but I'd love some advice which brand to go with. Does anyone have any recommendations to help narrow my search? SSD boot drive would be great, and at least 8GB of DDR4 memory. Will be using the laptop to play AAA and indie games at medium-high graphics settings, and I like the 15.6" 1920x1080 screens, especially if it's 144hZ refresh rate. Thanks so much!!!

I have an i5 8300h processor, a 1050 graph of 4 gb, 8 of ram ddr4, etc ..., 2 days ago lower the voltage of my cpu in 120mlv on ThrottleStop (a program) and remains stable at 4.0 ghz of turbo, and modify the voltage curve of the gpu in MSI afterburner of 1.1V - 1850 Mhz to 0.9V - 1785 Mhz, this morning my new computer crashed and I dont know if it was for the reason of my modifications or what. Could someone explain to me if what I did is wrong or if there is a problem with this. Sorry for my poor english - A man from SPAIN

I NEED HELP! So I have had my pc for 4 years and had some to none problems with it. When it comes to fps or any kind of studdering as long as I have the games on a reasonable settings I have no problem running them, but now I have fps problems with Destiny 2 that came out of nowhere. I've had the game since it lauched and had zero problems before with it, and now for about a week ago I CANT get 60+ fps anywhere with the lowest settings only in the menu and in Orbit. I've tried cleaning my pc 100% and re-installed it. None that worked Specs: GeForce GTX 1050Ti Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6500 CPU @3.20Hz 16 GB RAM On a 144hz monitor (1920x1080)

I want to upgrade my monitor by getting a higher refresh rate and a bigger display but am not sure if getting a 144hz monitor on a1050ti It’s used mainly for gaming like esports games; LOL, Dota2, csgo. I prefer playing it on the max settings but doesn’t matter if I need to tweek it down a bit. I hope this information is enough though. cpu: ryzen 5 2600 gpu: 1050ti 2gb ram: 16gb

So first ff lets start with my current build.. I know it's older but I am trying to save as much money as I can here and thus my budget build. So my Cpu While gaming on stuff like guild wars 2, Skyrim (heavily modded) Secondlife and a few others sits at 90-98% usage dependens on how much is going on, While my gpu is sitting around 50% max. So I am trying to find out if I upgrade to a fx 6300 or a fx 8320e if I would still be bottle necking. Any input is welcomed, just no bashing amd/intel. We use what we can aford.

So i'm upgrading my 8 year old pc step by step and plan to do it in budget range. I just got a 1050ti for gaming in 720p (preferrably high settings),next I need a CPU since my core 2 duo with 4 gb ram isn't cutting it anymore for obvious reasons. I have a DG41wv motherboard so anything new would definitely require a motherboard upgrade as well. Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks.
