  1. I'd just like to add my opinion. I use AdBlock, though I whitelist sites I find provide me with a great service and are good with ads. As an example, I'm a regular on SweClockers.com. The reviews and community there is really great, and they handle ads really well. The ads are non-intrusive and related to the website. Because of that I've whitelisted that particular site. Here's a screenshot. There's an ad for Logitech products at a very popular store for computer components. There's also an ad for a 20% sale on a Gigabyte motherboard at another great store. It says that this particular part of the forum is sponsored by yet another known, popular store. The ads are integrated really well, are related to the website and are not annoying. Many websites do the opposite with ads with audio or ads about marrying Russian ladies. If I see those I will likely be blacklisting that website again. This is also why I have ads disabled on YouTube. Now, I very rarely (if ever) visit this site, although I follow the YouTube channel, WAN Show and Facebook rather closely, but from what I've seen so far, it's handling ads fairly well, too. I did read most of the thread and saw complaints of people seeing ads for Russian ladies, which is not something I'm seeing, personally. However, if those are shown, I feel that you should look into that and try to improve your advertising. Another thing is that I didn't notice anything asking me to please whitelist your site. I feel that this could be a good idea, as it is something that works quite well on me, at least. Here are some examples of this that I feel are well done. Translation: "We've noticed that you're blocking ads. SweClockers.com is funded by ads and we work actively to keep these as relevant and fruitful as possible. We ask you to deactivate the block and thereby help us maintain and develop the website. Read more." This one doesn't really need any explanation. It is simply placed underneath the ad.
