  1. For months I have been having black screens when playing games and loading programs. These black screens typically only happen on my main DP monitor and not on the HDMI monitor. The black screens last 2-4 seconds and the game or program continues to run as if I only turned off the monitor. I have found that Blue stacks on first boot will always cause the issue so I can test easily. The issue seems to be down to mixing DP and HDMI but I can't verify due to only having one DP monitor. If I unplug the HDMI cable and only use the DP monitor the issue is gone. Also never had the issue when using HDMI for both on a RX 580 but unable to do that anymore due to lack of HDMI ports on GPU and Gsync compatible does not support HDMI. Specs: DP Monitor: Acer KG241Q P 1080p 144Hz w/Freesync HDMI Monitor: BenQ RL2455 1080p 60Hz CPU: R7 2700X Undervolted MOBO: Asus Prime x470 Pro (Latest BIOS) GPU: Zotac RTX 2070 Super Mini Undervolted w/ latest driver RAM: 8GBx4 Trident Z 3000Mhz PSU: Evga Supernova G+ 650w Edit: Issue was a faulty monitor that did not correctly support adaptive sync.
  2. I am just happy that the card can be used for right now at least.
  3. I made a fan profile that made the fan go to 100% once it hit 65C and I had not throttling issues, but the noise was very noise.
  4. With these tests I was running in full screen. For the most part I run all of my games this way.
  5. Just reinstalled the drivers using DDU and had the same results. I am going to try out a more aggressive fan profile to try and keep the temps around 65C as that is where it seems to want to sit at without issues. If you have any other ideas just let me know. Also thanks for the help.
  6. The one thing I noticed in the log was that once the temps hit 68-69 the clocks went down and only recovered once the temp got back to 60. Not sure if that could be the cause but it is something.
  7. Here is the test. I also uploaded the txt file by itself if you want the original file as well. GPUZ Test.txt
  8. Trust me that does not fix the issue. I have tried it may times before.
  9. Yeah I was using gpuz. I will play and post the results here.
  10. Specs added to the top post. Also temps sit at 67C at max in Overwatch.
  11. Okay so I have been having an issue lately where my ASUS Strix RX 470 4GB OC will downclock to 300mhz when playing games. This usually happens in most games when the framerate is unlocked. If I lock the FPS to 60 the drops are not as bad but are still there. So far the only thing I can tell that also drops at the same time is the GPU voltage. The voltage goes from 1.1Volts to .9938Volts. Currently, I have upped my power limit to +25% as that is what people in other forums say should fix it but it does not in my case. My next thing I am going to try is use the Asus Tweak II to see if I can find some setting that will fix the issue. If you have any idea what settings could fix this please do let me know. Specs: GPU: Asus Strix RX 470 4GB OC CPU: i5 6600k Stock RAM: 2x8GB @ 2400Mhz MOBO: ASRock z170a-x1 PSU: Corsair CX 650m 650Watt
  12. The Hitron Gateway I have is a Modem w/ router functionality, that is not that great. As for internet speeds, the routers you listed would be within my internets max download of 190mbps based on what you said. Also, I have been looking into the Asus RT AC66U and found that right now the 68U is only $5-$10 difference so I am thinking I will go with that as it has a higher clocked CPU for a little bit better future proofing. Thanks for your help.
  13. They make great hardware, but that's it. After 3-4 months of owning the WNDR4500 it started to randomly drop connection every hour or two and when I contacted them they told me that it is a "settings issue" so I asked them what settings need to be changed and they told me that it would have to be changed by them and that they would have to send packets to the router to fix it. From my experience, a complete reinstall of firmware or a factory reset should fix an issue like this, unless it is a hardware issue which they can't test for unless I give them $40 USD... So that is why I don't like Netgear anymore. As for UPNP support on most router, yeah they have it but it never works. I am using a Hitron CGN3AC(something rather) gateway right now and it says it has UPNP and not one Xbox in my house can get an Open NAT with only it just being on the network. Also a few routers I have had in the past also had this problem with UPNP but they were D-link so...
  14. My guess would be 8-10 but can go up to 15-20.
  15. So, recently my WNDR4500 from Netgear has been having problems so I am planning on replacing it. The main feature of the router I need is its excellent UPNP support, so I can run multiple game consoles and gaming PC's at once with open NAT types. What I am looking for is for Gigabit wired connection and decent WiFi coverage, but I am not too worried about coverage as the area is not that big and the other router covered the house just fine. Here is a list of stuff that will be connected to the router: Wired: PC, Laptop, Xbox One S and another game console. Wireless: 6 Game Consoles(Mixture of Xboxes, Playstations, and Nintendo consoles Max of 4 at once), Roku Stream Stick, PC, Laptop, 3 Android Phones, 2 Tablets and some other mobile network stuff. I am looking to spend up to $200 CAD and am looking to buy from Newegg(CA) or NCIX as they accept Paypal. Also, I do NOT want another Netgear router!
  16. I have heard that exact model is a good router and I also have dealt with their support with a GPU in the past and that went quite well. I might just have to take a look into it.
  17. Yeah, I am looking at $100 - $200 CAD. Mainly looking for good UPNP for multiple consoles with open NAT support and with decent support and warranty.
  18. Yeah, I tried that too but nope. Also, I just got the first disconnect after the firmware reinstall... Any ideas on a fix or a good router?
  19. Okay, so I have been having an issue lately where I drop connection for a few seconds at a time. This usually happens about once every hour or so. Now I have tested using the internet with just my crappy Hitron Gateway and it does not have this issue. So what I have done to try to fix this issue so far is power cycle the modem(gateway in bridge mode) and router, reset to factory defaults and reinstall the latest firmware(currently testing). The one other thing I had done is I call Netgear, this was a mistake... I went to them and they told me that it is NOT a hardware or software issue but just a settings issue, but the settings could NOT be changed by the user and they told me they could fix it for $40 USD. This just sounded so wrong to me so I told them that I would never pay for something so stupid and that was that. Now I do believe that there is a fix for this issue out there and I was wondering if anyone else had an idea on what it could be, any suggestion would be great. If all else fails if someone could recommend a router with good UPNP functionality that would be great, as that is why I own this router.
  20. Yeah sorry for that, anyway for thanks for the help anyway.
  21. For the display I used DVI-D. Now about removing the RAM and clearing the CMOS I don't really want to touch that. If you are thinking it could be a motherboard related issue I am probably just going to take my PC into Canada Computers as my motherboard already has some damage done to it, mainly a burnt out RAM slot.
  22. I tried this by using DDU but the issue still seems to be there. This was tested with going into sleep mode and then waking the PC, but the PC actually just boots as if it was turned off... I really don't understand why. Just like the above statement I tried with no success.
  23. Okay, thanks for the clarification. I will do that along with everything else that was suggested.
