you could've gotten a better cpu for your money and spent less on ram and cpu cooler as well as ssd, upgrade path in the pcpp list (if you have the money ofc) https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wXgNrV
if you want a better gpu then check out the 1080 ti in the ss below with the performance of a 3060 but not the price
How is this helping with his storage question?

Is it really worth it to cheap out on a controller if it's your only one?
Its only for select games, i use mouse/keyboard mostly. And thats all I want to spend, unless you want to chip in?

I am currently using an Corsair H105 which I bought in 2014 for my 4790k, OC to 4.8 for a few years. So far its still working well with a 5600X stock.
I am getting concerned because of the age of the cooler. What is the average life span of an AIO?

You really should get a bit more specific in listing your specs. People constantly fail to mention brand or model of RAM and this can be an issue with Ryzens. Also, are you running an M.2? Without specifics, on the surface, this sounds like a motherboard issue.

Be more specific. What exactly happens?
I will launch a game (Oni, D3, RDR2). Will play for around 10min then PC crashes then reboots.
-
Games will run for about 10min, then system resets.
No OC on either CPU or GPU.
Temps are fine before crash.
Latest GPU driver and mobo BIOS.
This only happens in games.
Pls Help, Thanks

I've used Prime95 as well, but just tend to fire up AIDA64 and let that be it. My days of running numerous benches and stress tests are over. I just want to use the machine.
Same here. I had fun back when i had a 3570K and 4790K, now i just turn on my machine to game or watch videos.

its worth a shot to try a different cable. You should also disconnect power and display cables from the monitor and PC for 20-30mins and then try again. Sometimes DP is just finicky
EDIT: Also you can try to uninstall your nvidia drivers with the program DDU, and then reinstall the latest drivers. Perhaps you have config files for the other gpu messing with the current gpu
Replaced the DP cable and all is good now
Thanks for the help -

Im going to buy another DP cable, any recommendations?

is the DP and HDMI plugged into both the GPU and the same monitor? If you switch back to HDMI does it display? In HDMI mode if you go to your display settings in Windows, does it detect the DP as a second monitor?
If there is no hardware issue this is likely whats known as a "handshake" issue
Main monitor has both HDMI and DP plugged in. Im getting signal from the HDMI, not the DP. Its not detecting the DP in settings as a second.
Could the DP cable be bad? Ive had it for a few years. -

Are you testing with a 1070 right now? Occasionally after HW changes my 1080 and monitor stop speaking over DP. I fix this by plugging both HDMI and DP into the same monitor and GPU with HDMI as the main. Once in windows, swap to DP with the button on the monitor, and it picks it back up.
Yes, the 1070 is in right now. Windows isnt detecting the monitor on DP. Monitor says no signal.

I turned my PC on today, nothing happened, red LED on GPU was on. First thought GPU fried. Opened up the case and noticed the 24 pin wasnt securely in. Everything except the GPU would come on, still red LED. Took GPU out and replaced with my old 1070. PC turns on, but the DP to my main monitor has no signal, just HDMI to a different monitor.
Please help
