  1. Tried all of it, did some googling of my own, still can't figure it out but i think I'm just gonna upgrade/replace. I've been wanting to for a while anyway. Plus I have an excuse now so yeah. If you find out something or still want to try and figure it out feel free, but I don't want you spending more time on this than you need. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it, seriously your awesome. Thanks again.
  2. Still got 00, nothing plugged in except 24pin, cpu 8 pin and cpu fan, nothing else.
  3. Yeah, just tried reconnecting it twice, on both ends, where it plugs into the mother board and where it plugs into on the PSU. Could my PSU have died or something? I wouldn't imagine just the 8 pin would be faulty, but is it possible?
  4. Yes, I have a board speaker, no beeps. Also the the little display one the motherboard is giving me a 00 Q code. Haven't looked up what that means yet. Yes, I basically rebuilt my system. Took the motherboard out of the case to make sure the standoffs where still in place. Completely reseated the CPU, new thermal paste obliviously, made sure the CPU block for the H100i was mounted correctly. I even tried to boot it out of the case. Still no beeps and nothing on monitors. Tried a lot with the RAM, tried 1stick in each slot (did that with 1 other RAM stick, I only have 2 4GB sticks) tried both in different channels, tried swapping places with the RAM, and still nothing. I also tried only using one of my GPUs, nothing, tried the other GPU still nothing. Tried a Different PCIE port, nothing. I've troubleshot it hardware wise, as best as I can and all I have is Q Code 00, which I haven't looked up the meaning yet because I forgot my motherboard had that feature but I'll be looking it up after I'm done typing this and update it as soon as possible if I figure out a fix.
  5. Nope, no beeps for me. I press the power button, MB LEDs turn on, GPU and H100i fans spin up. Fans plugged into headers stay off as well as my peripherals and nothing shows up on monitors.
  6. I was dusting my gaming PC today (Canned air) and after I went to boot it up nothing was showing up on my monitor, I also noticed that none of the fans where spinning. So I reseated the CPU, RAM, GPUs, and reconnected all the power cables. Not all at once, but over a series of attempts to get my PC to boot properly. Now, when I say the fans weren't spinning I mean the fans that are plugged directly into the motherboard via fan header weren't spinning (3 fans in separate headers), GPU fans spun up as well as the H100i all-in-one and its 2 fans. None of my peripherals power up ether. Also my motherboard (Asus Maximus VII Hero) has LEDs that glow through red transparent plastic on the PCB of the motherboard, now normally those don't glow until the PC is fully on (at least thats how I remember it working, I could be remembering things incorrectly) but after the dusting they stay on even when the PC is powered off. The only way to turn them off is to manually turn off the PSU. So I'm assuming I broke something and I need to replace either the motherboard or the CPU (Unless its something I don't know of and you might) but I don't know which one needs replacing. How do I determine this? Also, is this a hardware problem or is it something to do with the OS (Windows 10) I only ask this because before I powered it down to dust it a program had finished updating and needed the PC to restart, at the time I clicked "Not Now" then an hour or so I later shut down the pc forgetting that I needed to restart to complete the update (I don't know if this can cause an issue but I figured I should mention it) and went and dusted it. So did I zap something or crash my OS by shutting down and not restarting after an update. Or a combination of both :D! Pls Halp, thanks.
  7. I'm upgrading my cpu and motherboard to a i7 4790k and Asus Maximus Hero VII from an FX 8350 and Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0. At the same time I'm planing to also upgrade to Windows 10 with my free upgrade, what I'm wondering is can and how should i do this? Do I need to upgrade to Windows 10 on current system then upgrade cpu and motherboard OR replace cpu and motherboard first and then reinstall Windows 8.1 and upgrade to Windows 10 then? Or do I just need to buy a copy of Windows 10? Thanks for the help.
  8. I have UEFI Bios so apperently I can't boot to safe mode without being able to reach the login menu. So I'm going to try recovery with a USB.
  9. So I was installing a program called Duet Display, it allows you to use your IOS device as a second monitor, and it required a restart, so I restated my computer but when shutting down it got stuck on a black screen so then I manually shutdown the computer. Then I tried turning it back on, it booted up just fine, passed the bios screen thing, but then it goes black. I try restarting it while pressing f2 so that I could get into the bios, nothing happened, just passes the bios flash screen them goes black. Tried restarting aging while pressing f2 so I could restore, nothing happened just goes black. I'm on Windows 8.1 by the way. So I'm stuck, I don't know what to do. Please help XP Thanks.
  10. So I bought CoD:Black Ops 2 so i could play zombies. The muliplayer and the singleplayer installed perfectly fine but the Zombies section is stuck halfway through the download and won't progress. I left my computer on over night thinking that maybes its just internet problems but when i woke up it was still stuck halfway, no progressed even though it says its downloading at 1.6Mb/s. I've tried stoping the download and uninstalling it then trying again but still gets stuck. I can install other games perfectly fine. Anyone know why its doing this and how i can fix it? please and thanks you.
  11. Okay thanks, um could you (you don't have to if you don't want) do like a step by step thing for both steam and origin, sorry I just get really paranoid and anxious when I do stuff to my computer and i really don't wanna mess up. If you don't want to that's fine I'll figure it out. Hopefully lol Thanks Again.
  12. lol sorry I don't know how to do picture stuff.
  13. Okay, I'm dumb I should have searched before posting because I found this Its the same thing your telling me to do right? also what do i do about origin I cant find anything about how to move games or anything.
  14. I'm adding another hard drive that I want devoted to games only, but I already have some of my games on my personal drive so am I gonna have to uninstall all of my games, steam, and origin then re install all of them back on the new drive or can I keep the games and just add new games to the new Hard Drive? Will Steam and Origin let me do that or do they have some policy that won't let me do that because piracy or something? before some one says "GET AN SSD!" don't worry my os is on a ssd and I don't need my games on a ssd, load times don't bother me.
  15. A couple of days ago I had just started playing WoW (World of Warcraft) and after about 1 to 2 hours of playing my computer freezes, I'am able to ctrl alt delete and restart my pc. I have tried opening task manager to close WoW but i can't because my cursor is still the one in WoW and it won't let me click anything. After I restart there are no error messages, no overheating, just runs as if nothing happened. Also the same day i installed an H100i so i might have done something wrong maybe but I really doubt it. The only thing is when i took off the old heat sink the cpu came off with it which I'm pretty sure is not supposed to happen. None of the pins where bent or broke so i put it back on the motherboard, cleaned off the old thermal paste and proceeded to install the H100i. So what could be the problem, it doesn't happen in any other games I play (TitanFall, Battle Field 4, Arma 3, ect) Is this just a WoW problem or have i done something completely stupid when installing the H100i.
