  1. Thank you all. I should receive G533 today and I'll see how it performs. If not, I can return it and try something else.
  2. Thank you for you help. I've bought a Logitech G533 as I've found it on a good deal. I'll see how that performs.
  3. My budget would be around 150$ I'd like something that I could simply pickup and use. That is why a wireless headset seemed great. Even more, the USB dongle is easy to plug in as I have a close USB port.
  4. Hi, I have been doing quite a bit of research for headphones, firstly looking at wireless ones. I looked at Logitech's G933 but from user reviews it seems that the mic is not really that good. Same goes for Logitech G533. I did not like how the mic sounded on Steelseries Arctis 7 either. I use the headphones mainly for VOIP calls and listen to music, so not much gaming really but I like the convenience of wireless. Maybe I missed some model? The cheaper the better. I can go for USB wired models if there any that shine in mic area. I'd like to hear your recommendations. Regards
  5. I don't know... I would like a custom one but I don't think I can manage to make one as good (small, cooler, silent) as a prebuilt one...
  6. Node 202 is really big for my taste, I want a small cube or something, not a large hight one. Look at that Gigabyte brix is 2.6l while node has ~10... There is no fixed budget, just one to fit i7 7700 (or if intel releases Cofeelake I'll pick something similar priced if more cores), GTX 1060 6GB/Vega54 if the TDP is not skyhigh, a M2 256GB SSD only, no HDD (I have a NAS), no monitor or other peripherials and 16GB RAM, no watercooling. Thank you
  7. At the moment I have a old i5 3350p, 8 GB RAM, Geforce 650 TI in a big ATX Antec case. When I've built this, I took a lot of attention in being silent, so I have a good PSU, good CPU cooler, case is also good at noise handling... but it's very big. As the GPU is old, this is used for software development but.. I'd like to have an option to play games from time to time on my TV. I've been thinking for quite a few months now about building a ITX build. Actually everything started with hearing about Intel Skull Canyon NUC which looked very good but from what I've read had some problems with acoustics and temperatures and also the price wasn't exactly cheap. After that I started looking into NUCs and saw that they have low TDP CPUs which offered lower perfomance vs desktop ones. Looking at the ITX form factor, I tried looking at various cases, from ones like SG13, Metis, Node but really, they all look very big to me... maybe because of the way they are shown in reviews. And then, on most builds I saw, watercooling is used because the CPU doesn't have too much space to have proper cooling. Even so, there's a risk of high temperatures and noise. Initially I thought of a i5, maybe i5 7500, then thought of i7 7700, then Ryzen came and I waited to see what mITX board appear... On the GPU I think I am pretty decided to GTX 1060 6GB RAM. I also need 16 GB RAM and a m2 PCIE SSD. So in the end, I can't really say that I have found something that is small enough, maybe excepting the custom cases of over 150$... Then I've looked at prebuild systems and they seem to somehow be a mix of both, compact but smaller than mITX. I see that Asus has G20, MSI has Trident 3 or Trident Arctic and a new very interesting addition Gigabyte Brix VR at only 2.6l. I'm kind of drawn to Gigabyte because it has very compact size, a i7 7700HQ and a 1060GTX but probably it's a bit noisy and since it's barebone, adding RAM+SSD get's me to around the same price as Trident Actic which has a desktop 7700 and a 1070GTX. Corsair ONE is too expensive, AsRock Deskmini GTX sounds expensive and who knows when it will be released, Zotac Magnus with Ryzen looked interesting, but no news on when available or pricing... Did I miss any model? Since I also need to run the Android emulator and plan on using Windows, I can only go on Intel route there's only support for HAXM. So, is small, powerful and quiet possible but without using watercooling ?
  8. My budget suffered a bit of drop and I've decided to go with - i5 7500 as CPU - GeForce 1050Ti as GPU. I am trying to fit the build within the max limit of 1000 EUR in Europe. I was thinking of having a 120mm fan in front to take out the air from the case, but also I want the silverstone case with plastic front, not mesh. I have concerns on the effectiveness of cooling given the position of PSU over the CPU. Would a stock intel cooler + front vent be enough? The GPU does not require extra power. I also only have a M2 SSD drive, so basically the PSU would only power the MB and that's all, no extra cables inside. At the moment config is like this: - CPU i5 7500 - MB MSI B250I GAMING PRO AC - CASE Silverstone SG13 - RAM Kingston HyperX FURY Black Series DDR4, 2x8GB, 2133 MHz, CL 14, Single Rank - SSD Samsung 960 EVO 250 - GPU Zotak Geforce 1050Ti Mini 4 GB RAM - PSU Corsair ECX450M, 450W, 80 PLUS Bronze - CASE VENT quiet! Pure Wings 2 120 mm 1500 RPM I've also noticed I've just noticed http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mini-itx-elite-series/elite110/ which is a bit bigger but also cheaper. Any thoughts on it?
  9. @deXxterlab97 Thank you very much for your time. I like the confix except for video card and case @Megazero Thank you very much for your time. Why liquid cooling? From what I've read that product is a bit on the noisy side. Why Gigabyte and not AsRock? @Exprima Thank you very much for your time. Case too big for my needs I'd like to go with Silverstone SG13 but I'd prefer the one with solid front, not mesh and I am a bit worried on the cooling of the components. Not sure if it fits well. I am still not convinced if I should go with 1050Ti or 1060. In my country, a 1060 with 3GB RAM is a bit more expensive than 1050Ti 4GB. However the 6GB version is over 100$ more expensive... So go with 3GB 1060 or 1050Ti? I think CRYORIG C7 40.5 CFM CPU Cooler makes for a good cooler, as @deXxterlab97 mentioned.
  10. Thank you all for your suggestions. I really like the Asrock MB, has a good price and I've used their products in the past. How about 1050Ti? Seems quitet, cheap, games work, doesn't need extra power cable?
  11. After dropping the idea to get a Intel Skull Canyon and then a DeskMini, I've trying to test the waters on compact desktips. I plan to use the PC for at least 2 years and I want it to be as small as possible. So far I've decided to get: - Samsung 960 EVO m2 NVME SSD 250GB for OS+Software, I have no need for extra drives as I own a NAS - 16 GB RAM - i7 7700 CPU, non K The rest of the requirements are as follow: - since will be sitting on my desk, I want it as silent as possible - a cube case as small as possible. So far from reviews I saw, I've liked Silverstore SG13 - a mITX motherboard with M2 SSD slot to fit the 960EVO with good audio chipset - a video card that allows me to play games at 1080p, nothing too expensive, 1050/1060 maybe? I did not get a chance yet to take a look at the current graphic cards and their performance. The main idea is to be silent enough while not playing games - maybe a custom CPU cooler? - a PSU which should allow removing its cables. Basically since the SSD is M2 powered I only need to power the motherboard and the graphic card if the case, so no need for extra HDD/SATA cables - no DVD or other sort of drives. - no monitor. Basically I don't have a budget, but I am looking at a good performance/price ratio. The desktop is used 80% for other purposes than gaming. Many thanks.
  12. I want a case as small as possible. I would have probably gone with the Skull Canyon if it weren't for its noise. Thanks for your suggestion.
  13. I've had another post related to what barebone to get. Basically it all comes to this: at the moment, on my Android Studio while running an emulator and compiling, my CPU (i5 3350p) gets on all cores over 90% usage, probably it goes to 100%. Given that DeskMini 110 supports CPUs with TDP up to 65W and the fact that in only has the CPU COOLER as the only ventilation solution I don't know what CPU to get. Since the PC is used a lot and it's on my desk, I want it to be as silent as possible. Now that the new Kaby Lake is out, I have a few options to choose from: i7 7700 vs i7 7700T vs i5 7600 vs i5 7600T vs maybe i3 7320 I don't know if I really need a i7, maybe a i5 would work perfectly fine. I don't know if I should get a regular or a T version, given the lower TDP and the case housing the CPU. A 35W TPD should generate less heat, making the cooler spin slower, resulting in a more silent computing. However, I don't know how much performance drop is between regular CPU and it's T version, considering that the price are quite the same and I need to pay extra for a aftermarket cooler on T version. Your advice is appreciate it. Thank you.
  14. The only questionable thing is if I need the GPU or the CPU power? Would the i5U be enough for my needs? In the end most likely I'll go with the AsRock DeskMini 110 + i5 6600... Thanks for all the links you have provided.
  15. NUC6i5SYH seems like a good alternative too, it's interesting that it has Iris graphics, not Pro version but it should be better than the normal HD GPU. The main concern of mine is how good is the CPU for what I need... I was wondering if anyone has one and how is in terms of noise/performance.
