  1. Vatan has a lot of variety between stores. I'd suggest you go to their biggest ones, which would be the Bostancı store if you are in the Anatolian side or the Topkapı store if you are on the European side. Alternatively you can check their website to see if they sell the stuff you are looking for and if they do, which stores have them in stock. Though a little heads up, as far as I know the website doesn't have an English option. http://www.vatanbilgisayar.com/ Apart from them there aren't many significant electronic stores here, you could maybe count TeknoSA but I'm pretty sure anything you can't find from Vatan; you won't find there.
  2. Well I have been using the same mouse for 7 years, I think it should finally have a rest.
  3. I would finally retire my trusty Q9400. Old guy is getting tired.
  4. Did someone cal me? With the rise of the value of USD in the last months(2.12 TRY=1 USD) that -thank goodness- didn't affect the gas prices it doesn't look so horrendous from outside, around 8.76 USD/gallon. However if we backtrack about a year where we would consider the value of USD to be normal(1.6 TRY=1 USD) it gives us the true picture of the price we pay which is around 11.875 USD/gallon.
  5. To help people who doesn't see the actual use of it, this may help you.
  6. I personally am using a CM Hyper T4 and it is a nice alternative to Hyper 212 if it doesn't fit in your case. It brought my stock cooler temps under load to 55 oC from 95 oC. Also I was able to overclock my Q9400 to 3.2 GHz without exceeding 60 oC so I am sure you won't have a problem with an overclock as such.
  7. If you have a decent steering wheel definitely Test Drive Unlimited. It is an old but a very good game. I wouldn't recommend the second game though, I think they just messed up the driving physics.
  8. If we don't count ms paint, then. Man I still play it when I'm bored.
  9. Oh my god! I feel so stupid right now. That little hack was actually the proper mounting that was on the manual... Last time I didn't read the manual. I inverted them back and it is rock solid. And temps are better than ever 46 oC on Prime95 for the last 5 minutes. I simply can't thank you enough.
  10. After trying to remount it now I found out that the problem with it being fragile is completely caused by the locking mechanism. It locks to the retention bars by the very end of them so every vibration that is big enough is letting it loose. This is the way it should be Can that cause the cooler to not contact the CPU correctly though? Also I really would not prefer to return it since the retailer I bought the cooler is not very customer friendly in such occasions (Still the best one in my country...) Could there be a way to somehow fix it in a ghetto way?
  11. I remounted it dozens of times. It has a really crappy mounting mechanism, doesn't feel solid at all. It is really fragile. While trying to put the CPU power connector the whole thing let lose several times even if I bumped it a little.
  12. Hey guys, I had my q9400 running with the stock cooler and running 45-47 oC on idle with the ambient tempratures around 28-30 oC so I decided to buy an aftermarket cooler. I bought a Cooler Master Hyper T4. Came home, took it out of the box and saw that some heatpipes were squished on the top. Check them closely, didn't find any openings or holes so thought it is just something aesthetics no big deal. I took out my motherboard since I don't have a cpu cut out on my case. Put the cooler on and tested it on my motherboard box. It worked brilliantly. 35 oC on idle and 55 oC after 10 minutes of Prime95. So I put the thing on my case. Tempratures on idle went up 45 oC and on load it went off the roof. after 1 minutes of Prime95 I saw 85 oC on the hottest core. Now comes the weird part: I laid my case down and tempratures started to went down. All the way down to 55oC and stabiliesed there. So my question is could the reason be the heatpipes? Or something else maybe? Sorry for the long story part, EDIT: These are the heatpipes in question.
