  1. From what I described, what do you think culprit? How can I protect my future mic from the same fate? Is this still coverable from Logitech?
  2. Problem: 2 Mic died the same way in the past 3 months Mic: Blue yeti nano Motherboard: Asus prime x470-pro Case: lian li O11D Cables: cable that come with the mic + an USB extension (the mouse cable extention from all the Logitech mouse / keyboard products) Mic Arm: cheap amazon arm Pop filter: cheap foam-ish cover filter on top How did it die: *I did try the mic with another computer, and it does not show up either, Mics acts the same with both computer.* It just stopped working one day. Lights on the mic still light up and change color according to how I click them (both from mute bottom & pattern bottom). Possible culprit? Static discharge from my hand to the top of the Mic? Static discharge from my hand to the USB ports in the back of the PC? Static discharge when I touched my case and it shocked all the way back? IO shield is not connected to the motherboard correctly? Some parts of the Motherboard broke and it is actively murdering my mic and my mic only? (maybe I plugged in the same port and it is on that single port that is broken?) Extra Info: I had the first mic for more than around a year now, everything worked well until 1-2 months ago. The mic just stopped working one day (didn't stop working while using it, just grabbed the mic over, but it doesn't work anymore) (the night before, I was changing components in my PC) I tried everything and it didn't work, I got it RMA and Logitech sent me a new mic ASAP. 2nd Mic worked well until tonight.... (Last night, I got a new headset, so I unplugged the audio jack with the new one that came with the headphones. Did not open the PC. Just unplugged jack and plugged in the new cable, probably touched over the USBs behind my PC) [Edit, added info 3/9/2021, 1:55AM EST] Also wanted to add that I bought a pair of soft cushion slippers (3months ago?) and change my fake leather chair to a fabric chair (1month ago?). I am not sure, but I feel I have much more static zap when touching any metal in my room! Diagnostics: 1- Computer cannot detect the mic, sound panel cant see the mic at all (Pic1, none of the mics listed is blue, and non of them works) 2- When I plug the mic, most of the time, i get a message notification saying (USB device not recognized, The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. Windows explorer) (Pic2) 3- I checked the Device manager also, under "universal serial bus controller" -> "Unknown USB Device (Port Reset Failed)" shows up after 1min from the mic to be plugged in (Pic3)
  3. I think i have found the problem, after removing the rtx 2060 zotac, and plug the hdmi to the motherboard port, the system booted without any problem. After using ddu to remove the driver and putting thw gpu back in, it booted in....but yhe problem reoccurred after 2min staying on the desktop After putting in the old gtx970, the system booted normally
  4. No, it is not, i changed the displayport cable to a hdmi and the nvidia software installed without any problem Looking good right now!
  5. I am currently resting the pc at my friends place, and the pc keeps black screen when it tries to install the nvidia driver... (Twice at the same place, and it has to repair when booting back up, sometime it just cant be repaired and need a fresh install) (He has a displayport monitor (dell 27 inch 1080p 144hz)
  6. I think the problem is the pc keep remember the old HHD as the main drive and freaks out when it doesnt see it...or even worst, it sees the HHD but there is nothing in it...which makes it even worst
  7. no, i do not think so, i have taken it back and sent it back to him multiple time, and it always happen
  8. So my friend want to upgrade his desktop Acer Aspire PC with a new graphics card. -7th gene i7 -HDD -16G RAM (1stick) -factory motherboard - (NEW: 2060) - (NEW: 240G SSD) - (NEW: 550W PSU) I installed the official windows 10 from the Microsoft website and and activated by itself as the key is in the bios i think. -windows update (everything until it says up to date) -NVIDIA drivers -google chrome -steam -Pubg -set his HDD as a 2nd drive and formated it so he can use it as a 2nd Drive -went into the BIOS and disable every other boot options except the windows boot manager (I was testing with a set of wireless mice/keyboard from logitech) + normal 1920x1080 Asus 60Hz monitor / HDMI (He has a 144hz 1920x1080 monitor / Displayport) + cheap keybaord and mice + a headphones that has a mic+headphone+usb plugs) Everything works perfectly at my place, (restarted multiple time over 2-3days) And as soon as he take it home, the boot is super slow on the first time he boot up, and after a day or 2, he will get blue screens... He tried to repair/reset the PC with the options that the blue screen gives him....and it will reset the PC, but the problem keeps coming back... I have absolutely no idea why he keep getting blue screen, but i never gets it at my place....
  9. Asus MX34VQ 34" ultrawide (100Hz) Is Adaptive sync (freesync) a software or hardware? or both? if it is hardware, is it in the monitor/cable? if it is sofware, is it in the monitor or the PC If my G-sync adaptive does not work perfectly (flickering). Is it a hardware or software problem? If G-sync does not work perfectly with my monitor at the moment, can it be fixed with a software update later on, with a driver from the monitor manufacture or on Nvidia's end. If I upgrade to a new AMD GPU later on this year and start to use FreeSync, Will I encounter the same flickering I have currently with G-sync adaptive?
  10. If 2 different brands use the same panel, does it mean that the g-sync performance should be the same? Ex: ASUS MX34VQ -> Samsung LTM340YP03 ACER ED347CKR -> Samsung LTM340YP03
  11. PC i7-4790K Asus Gtx 970 16g ram Game: Blade & Soul (NA Closed beta) As you can see, the fps is around 35 (top left corner) and in the setting, i set it as 120 as my monitor is 144hz (middle of the screen) http://imgur.com/gYMVAsm Now, the weird thing is that my CPU/GPU isnt working at their fullest As you can see, my CPU is at 34% and the game is taking 27% As for my GPU, I set the fans at 100% and power target as high as i could. The temperature of my CPU at 35C (95F) which is pretty low i think... But GPU usage is only around 40% http://imgur.com/xxY7uWY http://imgur.com/XNdTvvp So i was wondering if i can take out more juice off the GPU/CPU so my fps in Game goes up or it's not possible and this is how it works... Or maybe its because the game is badly optimized and cant take use of my GPU/CPU fully potential Sry for my bad English
  12. PC: Case: NZXT h440 Motherboard: MSI Z97 GAMING 5 CPU: 17-4790k GPU: ASUS gtx 970 strix Power Supply: EVGA 760 G2 Cooling: Swiftech H220-X Harddrive: 512G Crucial M550 SSD (os) + 1T optic harddrive RAM: 16G Kingston fury Not overclocked yet OS: Windows 8 / not yet activated So the problem is my computer wakes up by it self after a few hours i closed it It usually happens during the night... Some night it starts, others don't... And the computer just stays open until i close it... Once, it woke me up and i remembered that i check the time and on that time it was exactly 3AM Doesn't matter if it is on sleep or shut down. But i have a feeling happens more often when if i put it on sleep
  13. I have the same problem with twitch, like sometime, the website works, sometime it doesnt.... I am in Canada / Quebec I am using this internet provider : http://www.altimatel.com/en/ And they are buying off their internet off a company that is call ''Bell'' We can buy our internet off Bell directly too, but its more expensive.
