Replaced Displayport, now its not working properly
RomeoTango replied to RomeoTango's topic in Troubleshooting
Sooo... I got the 80 euros Belkin cable. And stil no luck. My BIOS remains really small at startup and I am stil not able to choose 144hz... So I am really bummed now. Have no idea what to do next. Is there something wrong software side? Because the BIOS is behaving strange? I mean that is not something that could happen by breaking a dp port right?- 18 replies

I just bought my schiit modi uber to complete my schiit stack. As i had to move the monitor to get behind the stack. I broke the cable. Btw I just got an email from the company that I could choose any DisplayPort cable from their site. So they have the following: - Valueline - Startech - Club 3D - Belkin - ACT I already tried the valueline. But I don't have any experience with the other brands. Does anybody have recommendation? The Belkin and club 3d look ok.- 18 replies

Wel i got some cables yesterday. Though they have not send me the original. This cable also gives me 100Hz max. Stil no 144hz. I had contact with the company again today. I will receive message within 24 hours. What their solution is going to be. If the port is broken, I hope they still want to take the monitor back for repair or a new one (what is probably not going to happen, but we will see). Excuse me for my bad english.- 18 replies

Okey. So i tested my new cable I bought. It is better now. It supports 1440p at 100hz. But stil no 144hz. What I think may be the problem the cable. 144hz seems to be needing a really high bandwith and there are difference in quality cables. I cant find a shop where they state that a dp cable can handle 144hz. Max they say is 4k 60hz. I think il be sending this back and test an expensive one. I am also getting my original cable today. I stil had warranty. But that cable is 1 meter and I really wanted a longer one. There is progress.- 18 replies

Sadly, no. My mobo has no dp port and my monitor has only 1. Pretty anoying actually but yeah. Next to that i also dont have any other equipment where i cant test the ports. The only useage of dp cables in this house are my gfx card and my monitor. I ordered another cable wich will arrive tommorow. I am certain that this cable is able to handle 144fps 1440p. because it says 3840 x 2160 (4K).- 18 replies

Oke, so after some research I can't seem to find out if the cable I am using currently has RBR. But i also read that when RBR is in place it only supports 1080p wich is strange because at the moment I am using 1440p only at 24hz...- 18 replies

Ah. I reacted to you before doing my own research. Reduced bit rate. I can't find any information about my cable being RBR. I have a logilink displayport. You can find it here: http://www.logilink.org/DisplayPort_Connection_Cable-3_m.html- 18 replies

Dear techies, Yesterdayevening I was installing some new gear when I had to turn my monitor. By doing that i stretched my displayport cable and broke the connector. My monitor input seems alright. Today I bought a new dp cable and i noticed i could not get more than 24hz refresh rate on my Acer xb270hu. Also when i start up. I get this really smal screen. Big black bars around it. Its showing my msi motherboard, black screen with a - in the top left corner and some digits like c5 a2 (idk exactly) in the bottom right. After I get my Windows logo loading screen (also really smal) my monitor shows no signal and I have to pul the dp cable out and put it back in so it shows my desktop. Then I bought a new dp cable again and stil the same problem. Acer XB270HU gtx970 MSI z77a-g45 10 64 bit. coolermaster 750W (no exact model sorry) I5 3570K No clue as to what bios I have. I can make pictures if it would make solving this easier. For now I have no camera to my disposal. Feel free to ask questions to make things more clear. Thanks.

I dont understand what you are talking about. I would not post it if it was not the case. Any contribution to my question? Is it possible to get a splitter and insert both headphone and mic into the amp?
-
Hi guys, I just bought the Beyer Dynamics DT 990 pro. And I was wondering how to set this up for gaming. I currently use a antlion mod mic as microphone. So If I use the mobo ondboard DAC and hook a amp on to the mobo, and from there on my 990's. Is this a good option? Also where do input my microphone. I would like my cables to stick togheter (like with a headset). Is there any way i can hook up my mic to the amp? So all keeps togheter? Thx!

I saved it. -.- I did but it just tests @3.4ghz Instead of the 36 ratio or w/e i put in..... -
Hi, When i try to clock my cpu in bios (i followed a guide), I change the ratio and go to windows, I check my cpu-z and nothing has changed. I overclocked my same setup like a year ago but i totally forgot how i did it, plus the friend i did it with i no longer speek. Z77a-g45 I5-3570k
