  2. Hi, The second gigabyte board i have ever owed has developed a fault like the 1st with the PCH Fan so I am moving back to ASUS. I have narrowed it down to TUF GAMING X570-PRO (WI-FI) https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/TUF-Gaming/TUF-GAMING-X570-PRO-WI-FI/ or PRIME X570-PRO https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/PRIME/PRIME-X570-PRO/ notes: i have a WI-FI card so not fussed about the inbuilt wireless Power delivery looks to be the same imo which is what I'm most worried about. looking for longevity in this Mobo will need to last 3-5 years before next platform switch. which one would you choose? rest of my rig Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX Glass Case PSU: Corsair RM850x Mobo: N/A CPU: AMD Ryzen 3900x CPU cooler: NOCTUA NH-U12S chromax.black GPU: GeForce RTX 3070 Ti MSI VENTUS 3X 8G RAM: Corsair Vengance 3000MHz 8GB x4 (32GB total) Lighting: Phanteks NEON Case Fans: 5* NOCTUA NF-A14 PWM LTT Edition Storage: 2* M.2, 3* SATA SSD, 2* SATA HDD

    iperf issue

Hi I am currently testing speed on my network ahead of an upgrade and are currently running into an issue with Iperf3 and server 2012. I can run Iperf as a client from my server 2012 file server, but when i try to run it as a server and connect to it i get the error "iperf3: error - unable to connect to server: Connection timed out". I have opened the port for inbound on the server with no success. any thoughts?
  8. tbh I don't think there is anywhere like that in the UK (unless you live near OCUK or Scan etc etc...). Maplin have a few things (not much) but that's all i can think of.
  9. My old q9400 rig used to do this and it turned out to be related to the Mobo slowly giving up the ghost (i had it overclocked to 3.4 GHz). I gave the CPU to a mate who ordered a refurb Mobo off ebay and it was rock solid for 2/3 years before he built a new system. My gut feeling is that it is Mobo or PSU causing the issue. best way to test is with another PSU if you can borrow 1 from somewhere.
  10. Have you checked everything is connected properly? my first thought was that it is an overclock issue, how old is the system?
  11. Thanks for the info guys, was going to buy direct from Swiftech some time before the 15th to get here in time for my move from a 650d to a 750d at the start of next month but it looks like I will wait till they appear in the UK if not I will ship it over from the Netherlands. 1 question is Higflow a good reliable company? as I've never heard of them
  12. I guessed this was the case that they had bad dealings with them in the past, but surely eventually they would consider working with Swiftech again? as they do make some quality stuff and Logitech are the worse i refuse to buy anything of theirs with my own money
  13. I do not mind paying the charges for importing it, if you were to guess how long do you reckon it will take Amazon to offer it in the UK? if they ever do
  14. Hi looking to buy one of these to replace my dark rock pro 2 as I move my rig from a 650d to a 750d. It is available to buy from NCIX in the US & Canada here http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=93547 but in the UK I have phoned OCUK and Scan who both have told me that they do not have any plans to stock the cooler at this point. I also phoned Ebuyer who said this is a product that they would look to offer but can not say if they will or when (plus they use a really bad delivery company so I do not like to order from them). My questions are Is it worth importing it from the US or Canada? or does anyone know somewhere in Europe that plans to sell the unit? Thanks in advance also 1 more question if I buy direct from the swifftech website do they deliver Internationally, or would I have to get it delivered to someone in the US first?
  15. OK finally got an reply back from corsair and no I cannot use these cables so they are going back to OCUK as of next week
  16. #update 2 corsair have replied to scan and have said they are EOL and they do not have any in stock, i am still waiting to find out if i can use the cables i have with my current psu but they are taking ages to reply to me
  17. so do you think it is worth trying the cables i already recieved from ocuk?
  18. ok well i have tried to buy these http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/professional-series-gold-ax1200-individually-sleeved-modular-cables-white and aparently they are in stock but i can not buy them as there check out page refuses to load past the delivery address screen which is really fustrating. i have messgaed them asking for clarity on the cables i have allready purchased and are awaiting a reply which i will post here. but incase i can never check out on there website does anyone know where i can buy the white cables for the AX1200 cables in the UK? #Update 1 - scan.co.uk are going to contact Corsair on my behalf to see if they can get one for me
  19. Hi i currently have a Corsair AX 1200 (not an AX 1200i) PSU and have purchased these cables from OCUK after being assured they will work http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-140-CS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1084 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-127-CS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1084 now before I cause any damage to the components in my rig are these definately safe to use? thanks
  20. Really dislike hardware fan controllers adds more cables, I guess I'll just make do with the fan settings in the bios until I replace my whole system in 4-5 years thanks for advice
  21. I don't plan to upgrade to 4930k\4930x unless I can get one really cheap, and stupid fast memory doesn't really do anything for what I use my pc for.
  22. I used speed fan years ago and was not that impressed? has it improved now a days?
  23. hi new to the forums but need some advice, built my new pc around 6-8 months ago, 3930k, asus rampage iv extreme, 290x, 32gb ram, ssd x1, HDD x3, corsair ax1200, asus xonar essence stx. now I really want fanxpert 2 which is not available on my mobo but is availiable on the asus rampage iv black edition. my question is do you think its worth it to upgrade my mobo (I should be able to sell my old one and get most of the money back) for fanxpert 2? I also plan to add a couple more SSDs and I think the extra intel sata 3 headers will come in handy for raid. and I also plan to add another 290x in a couple of months. I mainly use my pc for VMware and gaming thanks in advance
