  1. Thought I would share mine as well
  2. The MG279Q is setup for freesync and not G-sync, but none the less thx for the input
  3. Okay is that what you'd spend your money on if you were in my situation? Just curious. Thank you for the advice Good to know, although is that what you'd spend your money on in this section of monitors or even another monitor you know of that you feel is a better for the money? Thank you as well
  4. So I made a post not too long ago asking for similar advice but never got a solid answer on which monitor to get or a solid suggestion out of the ones that were stated in the topic. None the less I have been doing more reading in hope of an answer. Unfortunately I was not successful in my endeavor. So through my searching I have narrowed it down to four monitors. One being the top of my budget. I am a gamer, casual but appreciate decent performance and I also do 3D work and photo editing on the side, reason being all these monitors are IPS. Moving onto the monitors (prices in descending order): Asus MG279Q <Link> Dell U2715H <Link> Asus MX27AQ <Link> Asus PB278QR <Link> I hope I have provided enough information, if there something I have not said and you'd like to know, don't hesitate Thank you in advance for the help, searching for monitors is quite confusing.
  5. Sorry been busy all day. Anyways, yea about the MG279Q, the freesync option is of interest to me because one I don't have an AMD card and how it works. So before ending this, what would you buy with your money and if your budget was ±500€? EDIT: Just found out about another monitor....the Asus MX27AQ <link> Sorry for being such a nub, monitor shopping is a serious F*%king pain with such minuscule details that could effect whether the monitor is a God send or hell And just so I know where are both on the same page; it's down to the MG279Q, PB278QR and now the MX27AQ.
  6. You have a point although looking at the monitor (PB287Q) the first deal breaker was the TN panel, if I am going to upgrade, why go with such an old panel technology with newer ones at similar prices. I completely agree with you after looking deeper into the 4K monitor, didn't know notice the fact it was a tn panel among other things that I find off putting. Although going through reviews they say the monitor is stunning, are reviewers just looking at the monitor and putting aside the fact that IPS would be better? More on about the PB278QR and the MG279Q, is the only difference between the two the refresh rate?
  7. Well in light of this, 4K that is, should I just get the pb287Q instead? Somewhat confused now? Only thing I have an issue is that gaming what is it like with a gtx 970. Okay, heeding your advice and considering what "the amazing cookie.." said, what would your advice be? Which way would you go?
  8. Why? Seems to be contradicting thoughts here.
  9. So I have done my fair amount of research on the topic and I have come to an in-pass with the my knowledge and what would be the best option. That saying I think I have narrowed it down to 4 different monitors although open to suggestions. (side-note: my location is Germany) Asus MG279Q <Link> Asus PB278QR <Link> Dell U2713HM <Link> Dell U2713H <Link> Where my difficulty is which is better, as for what I do, I browse the web, game a bit and also do 3d work.
  10. Most just be a pain with all the noise that thing makes.....
  11. Thank you both for the help, bottom line, what setup would you go for with your money? Saying you had the to do so and were in the same situation as me. The M6000 or a (couple/few) titan x('s)?
  12. I'm not doing video editing, I am doing 3D design and rendering. Much different if I'm not mistaken. Fair enough, forget to keep that in mind. Thank you for the reminder. On this topic, for my case, what would you recommend. As you know I use AutoCad, Maya and 3ds Max, I am teaching myself along with taking a course in 3D design. Anything else I should tell you :l sorry not sure what would be useful or useless. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of settings do you speak of that are offered on the Quadro? Also, "(double-sided)" not sure what you mean by this?
  13. Last question before I get out of your hair, would you go for 2 or 3 titan X's over the m6000?
  14. The expense isn't the problem for me. Truly looking for a solution to reduce my render times but not paying through the nose for things that I don't really need. Saying that, I looked at the titan X's bigger brother, the Quadro M6000 or at least that's what the cards looks like to me. The price tag of that isn't the issue, the question I have is that, if I was to purchase the M6000 or something in that similar price/spec range, would the special drivers and ECC vram be beneficial to me for making my models? And the rendering times would go down as well, correct?
  15. Hahaha yah, just refreshed the page and saw what you changed. Anyways, not to challenge you, just curious why the titan x and not a Quadro. Not enough benefits for the price hike with the Quadro and if I was to go for a titan X - 1? 2? 3?
