  1. Hey guys. I am currently using an i5 4690k and have just had an i7 4790k arrive. Am I okay to just swap out the cpu on my msi z97 pc mate? As they're identical sockets. Many thanks Gannicius
  2. There is no OS, I just wanna get to the bios first, which should be possible with the gpu shouldn't it? Unless it's defective.
  3. Afraid not, if it had I wouldn't have used the GPU in the first place. I'm going to try my R9 280x to check. However the fan spins on the gpu
  4. I did this and got constant beeping. Still no display though. Thanks,
  5. Right, after reseating EVERYTHING. I can get it to post, just not display... RIP
  6. The only reused parts are the mobo, cpu and psu, everything else is brand new The psu works, I tested it on an earlier rig.
  7. I have an AMD FX 6300, a GA 970A DS3P, CX 600, 4GB HyperX Fury RAM, WD blue 1TB, I can't get it to display using hdmi or dvi. The mobo and CPU were fine about a month ago but have been in storage since. I have tried multiple slots, and disconnecting the HDD and disk drive but no luck. Any help would be much appreciated
  8. That is a bit too cheap tbh, but thanks! I will definitely keep that in mind after Christmas when I decide to go for a 2 in 1 for my university stuff
  9. Hi guys, My girlfriend is after buying a 2 in 1. She was thinking about the Microsoft Surface 3 with a type cover bundle, but at £460, I have assured here there is more cost effective alternatives. So I decided to ask you guys. as I'm not great with portable electronics and stick mainly to desktops, so I don't feel confident providing the best alternative. Could you guys suggest an alternative? Preferably something closer to £300, but that's not required. Any help would be much appreciated Many thanks, Gannicius tl/dr; Looking for a decent 2 in 1 for about £300
  10. I have already done this, I'm not technologically illiterate :')
  11. I've already done this. And for the earlier reply, I can't get my mobo to use my gpu as the dedicated vga
  12. With Fallout 4 on the verge of launch, I decided to upgrade my pc for better performance,so I installed a new msi z97 pcmate and an i5 4690k. However after this I can only use the integrated graphics on my machine and that requires the gpu to be uninstalled. I have tried repeating etc... The card definitely works as ive checked it. Any help would be much appreciated Many thanks
  13. I've clean installed all drivers 4 times, and reinstalled windows with drive formatting twice.
  14. Still no increase in performance, I suppose I'm just going to have to wait for AMD to fix this in their drivers
  15. None as of yet, any specific suggestions? I'm finding a lot of vague stuff
