  1. okay thanks. Any chance of their being any damage to the CPU for this happening? Sorry for the noobish question its my first time undervolting.
  2. But I did run a stress test though when I undervolted and nothing of the sort happened then. Is there a better way to test the stability?
  3. hi. so i've undervolted to -0.15V and it was running alright for the last week or so. Today suddenly while playing a game there was a slight buzz sound in my headphones for a second and my laptop rebooted. Upon startup I got this message. Is it because the undervolt is unstable and I should increase the voltage? CPU is i7-8750H thanks
  4. So this is weird. Ran it again today after a restart and now it shows the +0.15V
  5. So does it mean its undervolted? Any idea why other softwares give inaccurate readings?
  6. Sorry for the noobish question ive never undervolted or used this software before. this is what it shows under VID. Its rapidly fluctuating +0.1V and -0.1V. What does it tell me?
  7. any other reliable software to use to check the voltage?
  8. hi. so i just undervolted to -0.15V with XTU. In HWMonitor it was showing -0.154V but after I put I restarted its now showing -0V. In the intel XTU it is still -0.154V. is this normal or is the settings gone?
  9. Man atleast read my post if you wanna help. I don't even need a good graphics card.
  10. 800 pounds I guess. Not sure what standard weights are but maybe something under 2kg. Weight is not THAT much of a concern.
  11. Is the brightness just the problem with Y530 screen? I always use the lowest brightness possible as I have really bad light sensitivity. Going to be buying from UK. I would love it if it isn't bulky. Battery life isn't that much of a concern.
  12. Okay, hi. I'm trying to get a new laptop as my old one is nearly dead. My budget is around $1000. I've been looking around online but a bit confused with so many choices. It'd help a lot if I could get some recommendations. It will mostly be used to work and some very light gaming. The Lenovo Legion Y530 seemed perfect for me but I'm not sure if 8 gigs of ram is the way to go in 2019. I'm also pretty sure I won't be using the 1050ti that much. I play some light games (CSGO, League of Legends etc.) so something like the MX150 would be enough for me. Not too familiar with laptop GPUs so that's a bit confusing. My current 920M is enough for all my gaming needs. Just how bad the Intel UHD graphics cards? Thing is the 8th Gen i7 is important to and I can't seem to find one with a low-mid tier graphics card. I would love to have a good display. I read some review about Y530 and people are saying the display is mediocre, thoughts? I'm fine with small displays. The smaller the better. I am going to carry it around a lot so I'd prefer it if it was a bit light and thing but it's optional. Thank you for your time.
  13. Clearing CMOS didn't work. I booted it with Linux on a pendrive and it boot up straight away. So reinstalling windows solved it.
  14. Okay, hi. So I dug up my old PC as back home for a while. Thing is it's stuck in the boot splash. The round thingy keeps on spinning. If I run the diagnostic it also keeps spinning on that screen. I tried to go to bios and disable the splash now it just rotates in the windows 8 logo. I've tried removing peripherals, no luck. What can I do? thanks
  15. I ran it and just got a message saying to power down and plug the graphics card. thanks for the help
  16. Okay, hi. I'd love to get some recommendations about some PC platformers. My kid siblings are just getting into gaming and I'm trying to find some good ones for them. They are currently playing A Hat in Time and loving it. Any suggestions for some more couch coop platformers or coop games in general? thanks
  17. I have the gigabyte 750ti with 2 fans. he actually has a 1050ti. It's an old psu that used to be in this but I've probably misplaced it after I've upgraded. This is an old system that no one uses I just dug it up as I'm back home for a while. Just trying to find out if not plugging it in will cause any damage before I get the 6pin cable.
  18. Okay, hi. So I have a 750ti on my computer and I just got a new 500W PSU (the old one had its fuse blown) but I forgot to get the 6-pin adapter that connects it to the graphics card. I was surprised when a friend of mine said he doesn't even plug in his and just plugs in to the motherboard. I'm wondering, can that work for me? If I plug in the PSU without the GPU to the other components will I damage it?
  19. Okay hi. I posted this in the laptop section yesterday but got no response so Im posting here to see if I have better luck So I've had this laptop for almost around 2 years now I think. Its not really that much of a good one its a Dell Inspiron 5558 with Intel HD Graphics 6000 and for dedicated its got a nVidia Geforce 920M. Its a pretty low end card and I wasn't planning on gaming on it, it was a rush buy and I've used it mostly for browsing honestly uptil now. Anyway I tried running a couple games and the problem I face is after around 2-3 mins (varies from game to game) it crashes. Sometimes I get a black screen, sometimes it just freezes. The laptop becomes completely unusable at the point. Forcing the games to run with the intel graphics solves the problem but I want to know how to fix it. It doesn't matter what game it is, I was playing Half Life and it crashed in 2 min whereas I could run like GTA V and Sims 4 for a good 30 minutes before it crashed. Any help is appreciated thanks.

  21. How do you understand the difference before buying? In the store along side all the others it looked pretty great. What kind does the latest MacBooks use? Sorry I'm a total laptop virgin. Why all except gaming ones? I'm thinking of buying and even though gaming isn't the primary focus I really would like to play some titles here and then, is that possible? Exactly what happened to me. How do I work around that and get myself a quality device?
  22. Around 750$ approximately if I remember correctly. I didn't invest much in it as I had literally one day between deciding to buy it and buying it
