  1. I can do that, but I'm still wondering why windows says I'm not an Admin. It wont let me disable "real time protection" in my settings and I don't understand why.
  2. Yeah I have "Allow apps from anywhere" selected, still having this issue
  3. I did a clean out of my computer a week ago and I guess I got rid of uTorrents as well. I've downloaded the installer but I can't open and install because of a windows prompt saying its a virus. So I went into windows security and added the download to the "Allowed Threats" but it still wont run the installer. So I tried to disable my "virus and Threat Protection Settings" but its wont let me turn it off because it says I'm not an Admin, but the account is an admin. I've also used command prompt "net user administrator /active:yes" but its still not working Is there something I'm missing here?
  4. Anything I can try to find out what’s messing with it?
  5. I was moving/deleting some files on my computer when I notice that when I right click on my Hard Drive (and SSD) it says "Taker Ownership/Restore Rights". Don't remember seeing this option before but when I click on It I get "invalid Command Line" Any Ideas as to whats going on here? Thanks
  6. I saw that too but I didn't think it would matter since I was just gonna format the entire drive, I don't see the drive in file explorer too if that makes a difference. I literally installed windows 10 not even an hour ago and went straight into Disk management and found it like this.
  7. Hi guys, Just installed a fresh copy of windows on a used computer i bought but I can't seem to format the HDD. I've tried to extend the volume into the unallocated space but disk management wont let me do it. I've tried to format the disk but windows wont do it because its partitioned, did a little bit of digging but couldn't solve the problem. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!
  8. Yeah, but at least where I am everyone seems to want 200$. I might be able to get it for 150$ but I doubt any cheaper than that. I don't think the cards worth that but its what everyone is asking for them.
  9. Hi everyone, Christmas is coming up and I wanted to build a computer for my younger brother (mainly so he'll stop using mine lol) Originally I was going to go with a budget Ryzen build (around 650$ cad) but then I got the idea of picking up a used system off of kijiji. After fishing around I found what I think may be my potential winner but I'm not entirely sure, the system is as follow; - i5 4670k OC -> 4.1GHz - Asus Z87-A Motherboard - 16 GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM - Samsung 840 Pro 128 GB SSD - Seagate 3 TB 7200RPM HDD - Noctua NH U14S Heatsink - Noctua NF A14 fan x3 - Fractal Design Define R4 - EVGA 750 SuperNova G1+ - No GPU The girl had It listed for 600 but said shed be willing to do 550$, I've got a friend who's looking to up grade his old GTX 970 to a 1080ti and he said he'd give it too me for 175$. At 725$ its a bit more than I wanted to spend but I think for the price It would be a very well rounded system and I'm sure my parents would pitch in if I asked. I know the risks that are involved with buying used hardware but I'm hoping with some bench-marking with Prime95 and Cinebench I will be able to tell if the computers crapped out yet. My main concern is the Haswell CPU, I personally run Devils Canyon in my computer and I while haven't notice any huge cpu bottle necks in my games, but, I wanted your guys opinion. Would it be worth to pick up this system given its age or would i be better off with a new budget ryzen build? Thanks!
  10. Tbh I'm not sure I believe i installed it, is there a way to check?
  11. Pretty straight forward issue really, I downloaded VoiceMeeter this past week at the recommendation of a friends to use in unison with my newly acquired blue yeti, I couldn't realy set it up properly despite following a few guides and my friends haven't really notice a difference in audio quality in our discord or Skype Calls so I'd like to get rid of it, however, I cant seem to uninstall the program. I found the file location threw the desktop shortcut, but there isn't a uninstall exe file. I've also looked for the program in Windows Program and Feature but it isn't there. The program isn't particularly large i just don't like having stuff on my computer if I don't use it. Any help to uninstall this program would be greatly appreciated, have a great Easter everyone!
  12. So basically I have a few BD-ROM drives that I cant seem to get rid of. I'm assuming there ones I've created in the Past with Daemon Tools to mount pirated games, but I can't seem to get rid of them. I've gone into disk management and have uninstalled them but they don't go away permanently once I restart my computer the next day they come back and I have absolutely no idea why or how to fix this issue I'm having. Would really appreciate some help into solving this problem as its really getting on my nerves. Thanks!
  13. Wow I havent posted on this forum in ages haha. So I bought a am4 Asus TUF b350m-plus and a hyper 212x for my brothers rig where building, and im having trouble installing the cooler. When i bought the cooler from newegg I was prompted to buy the new am4 bracket for ryzen, so i did however when it came in I notice that the bracket was the exact same one that came with the cooler, except it had different standoffs. I watched coolermaster tutorial for installing the cooler with the new bracket but Im lost. Should I take off the backplate that came with the motherboard and install the one that came with the 212x?? we tried instaling with the original standoffs and the backplate that came with the 212x but while the cooler is tightened all the way I can still turn the cooler in place while its sitting on the cpu. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
  14. Hey LTT community I've got another question for y'all whenever I boot my computer It always boots into Bios before Windows, So even on an ssd it take 20 seconds to load up. How can I fix this?
  15. Things that I would change: 4690 - 4690k Gigabyte Z97M - keep it 8GB Single 1600 Kingston RAM - keep it WD blue 1TB - keep 4GB Gigabyte GTX 970 OC (WF3OC) - R9 290 or 290x (the performance is about the same a little better on the 290x) Corsair 80+ Gold CS550M - EVGA 120-PB-0750-KR Case - NZXT s340 Windows -$80 I would also suggest getting SSD Also get an aftermarket cooler (hyper 212 evo is best bang for the buck)
