  1. yeah it will more costly than an RM, HCG or a few others i have recently taken a look at but is a good PSU none the less
  2. The XFX seems on the mark and ive been looking at the HCG series as well. Both seem to be a very good option EDIT: The xfx isnt available in australia as such unfortunately though as i went browsing, its very minimal.
  3. is the CM v750 a quiet PSU?
  4. Yeah i plan on overclocking everything so 650W would be fine but if i go dual GPUs early wouldve been a waste since ill need at least 700W PSU. Been browsing and im still with RM series for the quiet opperation but the antec HCG series doesnt seem too bad either not to sure. Australia needs more PC Products haha
  5. I got an estimated wattage of 470W with a single single GPU and 670W Sli on Pcpartpicker that i came across browsing so i think with your comment it would be alright with 850W also the fans on RM series dont start spinning till under 40%+ load so 750W seems alright after further inspection for upgrading and cost saving
  6. Okay thats alright. For the PSU i just want something reliable and quiet mainly. I dont mind paying for windows so i dont have to go to the hassle of pirating a OS but a good suggestion for saving money none the less.
  7. Yeah im aware of that, i would be only after performance speeds, application and games and the HDD would be for the bulk of the stuff i actually want stored, so its really an option im currently looking at. Yeah im looking at getting LED fans or noctua depending on the route i take cause i do wish to have some form of lighting through fans/LED Strips but yeah people say its better to have a PSU run at 50% and others say its not so if anyone has a benchmark of it or anything love to see cause i do plan on upgrades for more fans, LED lighting and maybe higher end gpu possibly. My options at the moment are quite open with the budget i have but the cheaper for better performance and quiet operation, the better.
  8. Ahk well myself I've just always been a nvidia fan, just like the use of their programs and ease of use as well but thats just my experience with the stuff. I also know there are many options but if i can skimp down on price in other places i could get a better GPU such as 780 price on gpu doesnt phase me too much as long as it can be manipulated into the build for the right prices and performance and also i want it to be somewhat quiet not too loud. Yeah this is the part i hated looking for as my knowledge lacks most with PSU's as well as availability in australia with them is awful ill have a look around and see what i can find around the 700/750W mark?
  9. yeah that was one part im not 100% sure on cause im not sure how much wattage this current system would use as well as eventually being a dual screen setup with 2 GPU's as well.
  10. So I'm currently looking around for what would be good and affordable for myself of up to $2500 MAX on the tower alone as the Monitor I'm going to get is enough as it is. I'm aiming at an OC build but not 100% on some of the choices of what I have made so far or an extensive knowledge of all possible available items on the market at this current stage. So please any suggestion would be greatly appreciated but do take into account I'm from Australia, so availability can be an issue sometimes as I have already found out making decisions somewhat harder. This is build is based around gaming with possibly some video making in the future. Do note that I do also plan on upgrading to 2 GPU's and 2 SSD's in Raid 0 at some point possibly. That also what makes decision a little harder as of now. As well as myself being very unsure of what PSU or Motherboard would be most convenient. Also would much prefer a semi/modular PSU. Also if you wish to have a look around at what is available in Australia I will list some sites below as overseas postage isn't really an option currently but will accept suggestions regardless in the case where postage may be cheap enough. - http://www.pccasegear.com/ - http://www.umart.com.au/umart1/pro/index.phtml?bid=6 - http://www.mwave.com.au/ EDITED: Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X-SOC Force Z97 LGA1150 ($289) CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K LGA1150 CPU 3.5Ghz 8Mb Cache Haswell ($394) CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H105 Liquid CPU Cooler ($160) RAM: Corsair 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 2400MHz Vengeance PRO ($219) Storage: Western Digital Green 3TB Green 64MB SATA 3 ($131) SSD: Intel 730 Series 240GB SSD ($289) GPU: Gigabyte GTX 770 OC EDITION PCI-E 3.0 4GB 256-bit DDR5 ($480) Case: NZXT Phantom 410 Mid Tower Case White ($126) PSU: Antec HCG-750 750W High Current Gamer 80PLUS Bronze 135mmfan ($169) Software: Microsoft Windows 8.1 64bit OEM ($113) Total: $2370
  11. Yeah i just checked it out doesnt look too bad and has a big sized window which i like, i dislike windows that are too small but yeah availability in australia for a lot of PC based items isnt the best making it hard to make the right decision for items here instead of paying a bunch extra for postage. But definitely a good case i can look into
  12. is a little over my price range but not too bad The genesis is definitely a nice case but yes too big for the build im going for, its just a nice little simple single gpu build that will be going to dual gpu and maybe watercooling in the future but those other cases aren't so much what im looking for except the thermaltake chaser that wasnt too bad at all. I like the smooth slick type of look
  13. I'm currently looking around for a case to support my gaming orientated build into. I came across the NZXT Phantom 410 case in white. It looks really neat and something different from the most basic black cases. I want a case that looks somewhat different with a windowed side panel but not 100% on my choice. However if anyone has any other possible suggestions i would love to see what people recommend as i feel there may be something better for airflow/noise reductive out there that i may have missed. Also im from Australia so prices may fluctuate a bit between currencies. - Looking to spend up to $200 AUD - Single GPU (upgrading to dual gpu later) - 140mm Top Rad - Decent airflow but quiet to some extent (OC gaming build)
