  1. I have a i5 4670 and its cooled by a h80i. at idle one of the cores is about 3-5 degrees above the rest and at full load it is around 10 degrees higher. Is this normal?
  2. It is a samsung 840evo ssd. Has been working fine for about 6 months. Im just going to get the install disk a run it and see if it fixes it. If not ill just re install windows. I dont have any important data on there just lots and lots of game.
  3. I setup a password on my account on my computer. I made sure to type it in correctly. After I setup the password, I put my computer to sleep and then woke it up to see if it worked. When I went to wake up the computer from sleep (this isn't the first time this has happened) it went to a blue screen for about 10 seconds then restarted the computer. I got to the log in screen and it would not take my password. I made sure to type it correctly and that caps lock was off (i tried it with it on too). I also tried turning off the computer and unplugging the keyboard to see if that would work and it didn't. I tried to enter safe mode and repair the boot but it did not recognize my drive so I couldn't do anything. Now its asking for the windows install disk to repair it. It says "windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause" then it asks for the install disc. It says there is something wrong with file: \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD then status: 0xc000000f Info: An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data. I don't have the install disk with me at the moment (living at school), hat are my options if I get the install disk to repair it and it does not work or it does work but it won't take my password? Thanks
  4. I have a rosewill hive 750 watt PSU and recently changed it to be fan side down. The problem is that now the 6+2-Pin PCI-E Connectors that go to the GPU are not long enough to be routed in the cable management holes and then reach the PSU and it makes my build look bad. I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get some longer 4 x 6+2-Pin PCI-E Connectors so I can route them in the cable management holes and make my build look good. Thanks
  5. so i can just install windows again even if i used the activation key for the install on my HDD?
  6. I have a question about upgrading to a SSD. I have a 1TB HDD now with windows and all of my stuff on it now and I plan on getting a SSD shortly. When I get the SSD, I would like to do a clean install of windows on it. Is there any way to do this if I have already installed windows on my currrent HDD? Thanks
  7. no games are open in the background. the processor runs nice and cool and at low mhz but the gpu doesnt.
  8. I downloaded afterburner and it says the same thing. running at over 1000 mhz and 45 C
  9. I just recently build a new gaming computer and I put in an EVGA GTX 760 superclocked edition. When I first boot up the the computer and open up EVGA precision, it says that the GPU is running at around 135 mhz and around 30C. But after I fire up a game and play for a little while even after I close and game and some time goes by, the GPU is still running at over 1000 mhz and around 45C when idling. Is there any reason for this? Thanks
