  1. Hello guys, To begin with I'd like to apologize if this is not the proper place to post this, it's just I have no idea in which thread this belongs to. Okay , so I want a name@surname.com email since it looks far more professional and I will soon be looking for a job. Thing is, I have no idea how to create one. Really , I know nothing on the subject... Guide me if you could please. Thanks a ton!
  2. The Transcend Jetflash 710 features 125/25 read/write speeds which is far better than the Voyager Vega or Mini, so I think I will get that one!
  3. . Well , the Survivor line is out of the question given their size , since I keep my keys in my pockets and I usually wear jeans. Voyager Vega and Voyager Mini are perfect for the job but both feature terrible write speeds from what I've read. I know nothing about the Voyager Go. The Voyager and Voyager GT are pretty big, so they are my last resort options. What do you guys tnink of Go, Vega and Mini?
  4. Hello guys. So I have been running Ubuntu along with some other bootable programs (kavspersky, Memtest etc) off my 16gb micro sd Sandisk ultra. It runs fine, but it gets way too hot and it is pretty slow. Thus I had been itching for a new flash drive for quite some time. Thing is, I use this flash drive as a recovery drive with useful utilities along with Ubuntu. This is not meant for everyday use , but as an emergency drive in case something on my main rig starts failing , or I need to troubleshoot another computer. I need this flash drive to be on my keychain 24/7. Therefore I need a sturdy drive witha keychain hole that can run an OS at decent speeds. Plastic usb drives tend to be wrecked when kept with my keys , so a metal flash drive is preferable. Any suggestions? Also, is read speed or write speed more important when looking for bootable drives? Note: I already own a Cruzer Extreme which I use as my secondary OS drive, permanently mounted on my pc. Its a great little drive, but I believe I need somethinf far more rugged if I expect it to last drops and scratches by my keys.
  5. Hey guys. So I just switched my SSD from IDE to AHCI ( did he registry tweak since I didnt install the OS on AHCI the first time) . Now on my SSD I am running WIn7 , which is my main OS. But, I also have a secondary HDD in which I am running Ubuntu Linux. I have it lying around , but whenever I need to use linux for some reason , I open the chassis and pop the drive right in. Question is, will I be able to run my secondary OS now that I switched from IDE to AHCI? Will there be a problem? Do I need to change something in Ubuntu ? I am computer savvy but I never understood how IDE/AHCI works , so I am completely lost on the subject. Thanks in advance! SPECS: OS 1 : Win 7 64bit OS 2 : Ubuntu Linux 14.04 i7 2600 @ 4.2 Ghz HD 6850 @ 900 MHz XMS3 2x4 GB 1600Mhz EVGA P2 1000W SSD (running OS 1 ): OCZ Vertex 460A 120GB HDD (Running OS 2) : Some cheap Hitachi 80GB drive that I found in an old PC Secondary ( just in case) Cryorig R1 Ultimate 2x Optical drives ( can get the model if you wish) 1x External HDD Western Digital My Passport 1 Tb via USB2.0 1x Seagate 500 GB ( no OS here, just games ) Not Sure if this is important but here goes : I have my SSD connceted in the same SATA 3 controller box thingy with the Storage HDD( Not the Hitachi with OS2), the 2 Optical drives on the second one and the Hitachi alone on the third one. Included pic of SATA controller box thingy.
  6. Friend's laptop. I Loaded the uhm, not the fail safe BIOS, but the optimum one or something like that which was an option in the BIOS. No change.
  7. Nope, cant get into Safe mode... F8 works but after I choose to boot in safe mode, the system freezes and I am back to the Mobo screen The blue screen's title is : BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO.
  8. Sorry, but I am in a state of panic. F8, okay, I will try
  9. GUYS PLEASE HELP! I found a post in Toms where a guy had the same problem with me and he just went to msconfig > boot> advanced and unchecked the number of processors . I did the same and now my system wont enter windows. After I see the mobo sign where I can press DEL to get into BIOS etc, I get the screen where I can either Repair Windows or continue noramlly and if I continue I see the windows splash screen and when the 4 colors\thingies unite and I should see my account and enter my pass, the system freezes anbd then I see a brief blue screen that starts with " If this is the first time you see this..." after which I am sent back to the Mobo sign and the loop continues this way PLEASE HELP
  10. 1 resets and 1 overwrites?
  11. They are right here : On the black area-thingy.
  12. Not sure if that was a joke or not. lol. Anyway, take all the time you need
  13. Yep, just found it. I have Rev.1 . But since we are here, may I ask ? http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3899#ov < There are 2 buttons on my MOBO. Ofc, they are there to reset the BIOS, but which one does that and what does the other do?
  14. http://imageshack.com/a/img841/1072/c0i8q.jpg Okay, as you can see, all cores are enabled. If I press on CPU CORES ENABLED I saw : CPU0 CPU1 CPU2 CPU3. The thing I told you about wasn't it, my bad. But, since all cores are enabled, why CPUz thinks otherwise ?
