  1. Well its not really a entertainment system. I use the TV as a monitor for my PC and the speakers are just some old computer speakers i use for sound on my PC
  2. Hello all. I had a question regarding my situation with my UPS. I have a APC BR1500G which only had 5 battery plugs on it. On my current setup i have my PC, a monitor, a tv, speakers, router, and modem that i need plugged in. The plug on both my router and modem are rather big and result in one of my 5 plugs being blocked which leaves me having to set 2 of my devices to just the surge protection (i opted to put my tv and speakers on the surge side). I wanted to know if it would be possible for me to plug a power strip into one of the battery plugs so i could plug all 6 of my devices into the battery of the UPS rather than be limited to 4.
  3. I am using Moto G's and LG Motions. The moto g dosent have a removable battery, the motion's do have a removable battery but they cant run without a battery. I considered a stand but how the phones are setup there are multiple rows and it makes the phones difficult to interact with when i need to do so.
  4. I would like to start this off that im not sure if this is the right section for this post. But it has to do with cooling and air to some degree so i decided that this was the best section. Ok so this cooling question has no basis in cooling a computer but rather phones. I have a a group of phones that i have playing videos basically 24/7. I wanted these phones to be as out of sight as possible and the best position for that was at the foot of my bed. So currently they are sitting on the carpet and while there they get somewhat hot. I bring this up because i have even had a phone that has had the battery bloat to a unusable point and i would believe that is mainly due to the constant heat. To continue to keep the phone hidden where they currently are (since i have tried other areas and any other place was way less preferable) i came up with a idea to use aluminium sheet to sit on the ground under the phone's to cool them. I wanted to ask if this plan would work or not? I had these sheet's in mind: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EGNRVS6?keywords=aluminum%20sheet&qid=1447650564&ref_=sr_1_15&sr=8-15 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YW5DYKC?keywords=aluminum%20sheet%2048in&qid=1446693939&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1 The main difference between these two sheets and my line of reasoning was the thickness and if that would add any cooling capabilities.
  5. Yeah based on what i have seen APC appears to be the most reputable brand. The only thing im trying to understand about this specific UPS is the "master" plug and the "controlled by master" plug, along with the ethernet ports on the back.
  6. Hello all. Recently i have been looking into getting a UPS for my setup but i have a somewhat small understanding of UPS's compared to other PC components. I am running a PC that consists of a 4670k thats overclocked, a R9 280x and currently 2 monitors (possibly 3 in the future). Based on the information i do know of UPS's i chose this: http://www.amazon.com/APC-BR1500G-Back-UPS-10-outlet-Uninterruptible/dp/B003Y24DEU/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1446700643&sr=1-4&keywords=ups. Is this a good choice? I also picked this based on the fact that i could potentially be upgrading my setup in near future and i wanted some room to work with in regards to potentially higher power draw. Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appriciated.
  7. I dont really care about curves but just having a lower % option. AI suite allows me to go as low as 800 RPM while bios only allows as low as 1500 RPM.
  8. Ok. after i did the "fan tuning" i was able to control it and lower it down to 40% (which according to it translates to 800RPM). Do you think there is any way to get the bios to be able to have more control? Im not a fan (lol) of having a bunch of process running using up resources just so i can control my fan's
  9. When i got to install it and it has me chose which parts to install there is no fan software
  10. I have windows 8.1, no fan software
  11. Nope. No curves. As shown in the video it is just percentage's
  12. I downloaded it but there was no fan software in the installer.
  13. They are 4 pins. There is no area to select between DC or PWM
  14. Hello all. I recently got some noctua ppc fans for my case. I installed them and i went in to my bios to change the fan speed. My bios fan control looks like the one shown in this video: though an issue i have ran into is i cant make the duty cycle any lower than 60% which leaves the fans running at 1500 rpm (which is a bit to audible for my tastes), if i try to go any lower than 60% i get a "invalid input range" message. Anybody know why this might be?
  15. Well this is kind of odd. As i went to test it it appears to have fixed itself. The mic no longer has any buzzing and the headphones are back to the normal low buzzing (switching between regular and AC97 made no difference)
  16. Hello all. Let me start of by saying that i use Turtle Beach X12's that i got a few years back for free, i had planned on possibly upgrading in the near future. I had planned on upgrading because when using the headphones i would always hear this light buzzing noise, usually games would drown it out but its really annoying when little to no noise is happening. Up to this point there was that light buzzing in the headphones but the mic portion seemed to be okay, or atleast nobody i talked to in TS complained about anything. Today though i got on teamspeak and i noticed it said i was talking when i wasent (i use voice activation) and everyone was complaining about a buzzing noise (i then went into the TS setup page and did the mic test and i also heard the buzzing). I also noticed the headphone buzzing was slightly higher than usual. I tried restarting my computer to see if that would help to no avail, but then i had a idea. I unplugged my headphones and got to the back of my computer, unplugged my speakers and plugged in my headphones. In terms of buzzing it was still there, but it was only a tenth of what it usually is plugged into the front panel. I then plugged in my mic and did a recording and there was no buzzing at all. The buzzing is only there when plugged into my front panel ports. Could any experts of audio give me some insight to this?
  17. Any suggestion on a 92mm fan? dosent need to be pretty, just no leds and alot of cooling power (preferably as cheap as possible) and on amazon.
  18. There is not. The only fan's in the system are the CPU cooler and the fan on the PSU. Im not sure if it would be possible to put a fan on the side where there are some holes.
  19. I measured it from screw hole to screw hole and i came out to 3.5 inchs
  20. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883220217 It is currently located in a closet so i want to add another fan to lower the temps a bit
  21. Hello all. I have a question regarding the size of a fan. Im using a old prebuilt i got my hands on as a server and i want to add a fan for more cooling though i dont know what size would fit for this case. Im assuming its 80mm but im not entirely sure. Here is the PC in question: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883220217
  22. If I could ask. What is LLC? Also could it be overvolting due to me using adaptive voltage?
