  1. thats not what im asking. I'm asking why it doesn't allow me to go past 1050,
  2. I've used chrome, ie, and the Netflix app on Win 8.
  3. Hi all, I'd like to know how to "force" Netflix to 1080P/HD. I've got a decent 20Mb plan so my internet isn't the issue. I'm unable to change the bitrate to anything higher than 1050, which is a bit of an issue as that is sub 720P. Anyone know how to fix this- do I have to use a specific browser, etc.?
  4. Only real reason why I'm asking is I've heard people having issues with doing what I'm trying to do- talk of "active converters" and whatnot.. But I'd imagine this should be fine as its used to CONVERT hdmi to display port.
  5. Nah, as its a G-SYNC panel it only has Display port.
  6. Hi, I need to hook up a PS4 to my display port monitor. My monitor supports HDCP, so that shouldn't be an issue. Was just wondering if this cable will do the trick? http://www.miniinthebox.com/hdmi-v1-4-to-displayport-m-m-black-gold-plated-1-8m_p1000014.html Cheers
  7. So if I've got an HDCP complaint panel, something like this (http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/cosmol-male-displayport-to-female-hdmi-adaptor-codphdad) should work fine?
  8. Hi all, I recently purchased a PS4 to play the various titles that are experiencing crippling PC ports (Arkham Knight, cough cough). I'd like to hook it up to either my Acer XB240H or my ROG Swift (But am leaning towards the Acer as it runs natively at 1080P). Would just like to know what would be the best method of hooking it up- I've heard that HDMI to Display port connectors don't work some times? Regards
  9. Hi all, I've currently got an EVGA GTX 980 SC. My case is a Corsair 250d, so temps on the graphics card are generally good as it is basically centimeters away from ventilation- this, however, poses other problems. Majorly, my system is quite loud under load- as there is no real insulation and/or noise dampening provided by the case. For this reason I've changed the fan speeds, so that the GPU essentially runs with fans off @60 degrees (and lower) @20 % fan speed from 60-75 and then 30% fan speed from 75-85 degrees. In most cases, (playing games like BF4, BLOPS 3 and other titles @1440P, w/ my monitor set to 144HZ) the card runs at about 78-84 degrees~ I've never really seen it go any higher. Was just wondering if this is safe?- or would it be better to rather get another mITX case that provides greater sound dampening, and then letting the card run at a greater fanspeed to reduce temps? Regards
  10. 144 hz @1440p is just so incredibly smooth! The feeling completely trumps that of any 60 hz experience (regardless of the resolution). I used to have a 4K Asus panel, which I swapped out for a Asus PG 278Q, and have been having much more fun with it.
  11. Excellent- that was my greatest concern really.
  12. And in that case, I'd imagine it would be significantly quieter? ~ as you could keep it at a minimal speed during idle scenarios
  13. Couldn't I just hook up the radiator fan to a motherboard fan header and control it via software?
  14. So you don't have any issues with the pump- like grinding noises, etc.
  15. Cheers. But also, do you agree that a well insulated case that is optimized for silence will block out an pump noise?
