  1. So here is my issue at work we have roaming profiles so all our user data is stored on our server here in the office. Now we do run regular back ups to a back up server on the other side of the school but my boss now wants us to also backup the whole server (Or just the user files) to A cloud service like google drive. Now we have Unlimited Google drive storage so preferably we want to use Drive. My question is does anybody use any software that does this well ? I'm looking at Cloud Berry http://www.cloudberrylab.com/google-drive-bare-metal-backup.aspx but I don't want to just jump onto the first program I find if there is a better (cheaper) alterantive out there ?
  2. Right I have a 500W in my currant build which is a little over kill so I should be able to swap them when the parts get here. I'll look into getting more soon to be sure though. Thanks again, right that should be the last thing I'll leave you alone now
  3. Hi there sorry to bother you again but I was talking to a friend today who said I needed a bigger PSU for my build else it will burn out I've looked around and seen some horror stories of PSU's burning out and checked a ton of PSU calculators only to find results that were less or way higher than my currant one. I did use a couple of calculators before and got results that lead to my currant one. Do you think I should cancel my current order to get a bigger PSU or am I safe sticking with 450w ?
  4. After swapping parts around with some of your suggested ones I think I'm going to stick with the parts I have. Development is more important Thanks for helping me out with this it really stomped out those voices telling me I'm making an expensive paper weight here. I think one day I'm going to worry about the atheistic values of parts and spend hours picking parts that look good Thanks again
  5. well it's not so much not liking them , their great if you have lot's of lights and a color scheme. I'm not to bothered about the looks inside.
  6. Thanks for the suggestion but I had my heart set on an i7 for the games development side of things, and never been a huge fan of windowed cases.
  7. Thanks for the speedy response. Good point on the Ram I might just do that I also agree on the other points but I'm sticking to a budget so the SSD is a plan for the future Now it's time for the fun part
  8. Hello good people of Linus tech tips forum. I'm sorry if you get this type of post a lot but I can't think of any better community to help me with this. I've picked out all the parts I'd think I need for a full pc build. I've done my research and thought about what I aim to use my pc for and how I would like to add or change my build in the future. I'm kinda confident that I have all the parts I need but every time I try and press order I get this little voice inside my head telling me that something is wrong. So I thought I would ask you guys what you think ? Mainly: Will this build work with all the parts I have chosen ? http://www.scan.co.uk/savedbasket/904b6d363f864ff7a21f0ef7f488dfe6 If that link doesn't work: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/GG7wD3 If you can answer: Is there anything I should beware of when putting these parts together ? Does anybody have any suggestions of better parts for less? If this helps I plan on using this build for Gaming and game development. Thank you in advance for your help ...
  9. If anybody can help I would really appreciate it ?
  10. Hello this is my first time using these forums, usually I can find a solution to problems on old forums posts but I've got myself stuck with this issue and I really hope someone can help me So I've been trying to use my HDPVR2 to record my pc for a while and at some point I did get it to work with my 1080p monitor in 1080 (to some extent). I had the HDMI from my pc lead to my HDPVR then had another lead from my HDPVR to my Monitor. This worked but my screen kept cutting to black randomly which got annoying fast. So I tried a different set up recently. I had my HDMI cable running from my pc to my HDPVR and then a VGA to my monitor. Then treating my HDPVR as a monitor it's self I cloned the image from my main monitor to my HDPVR. This worked GREAT. The only problem is it works when I'm in 720 on my main monitor. Now I understand that "Cloned" means the exact version of the moniter1 shown on the HDPVR. So downscaling is not possible straight out the box on WIn7. In short can anybody help me clone a 1080 image from my main monitor to my HDPVR "monitor" at 720? Probably without lots of expensive software. Specs: OP: Win7 GPU: http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/EAH6670_DC_SLDI1GD3/ HDPVR: http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/site/products/data_hdpvr2-gaming.html Thanks
