  1. I had a 1440p monitor that recently broke. I figured if i'm getting a new monitor I'd try for one that's a bit higher res.
  2. I'm looking for a decently priced 2560x1600 monitor that's 27 inches and higher. Right now all the ones I can find are over 1000 bucks. If I were going to spend that much I would buy a 4k monitor. Also not interested in any of those Korean monitors since I dont' want dead pixels.
  3. I have the 558 right now but I game often and I don't want a desktop mic and the modmic base keeps falling off(likely something i'm doing wrong) also not a fan of the extra wire. As it stands I love my 558's and don't want to buy the AG1 if it sounds worse.
  4. I game at 2560x1440 res. When it comes to overclocking what benefits 1440p more? Overclocking clock speed or memory?
  5. I wouldn't want to go over 550 bucks. And the modmic is something im definitely getting since I have to communicate in ts. And is there any reason to not buy soundcards? I hear often even cheap soundcards are better than on board sound.
  6. Right now I use a $30 gaming headset and onboard sound. I was thinking of upgrading my sound setup but I don't exactly have golden ears. ASUS Xonar STX Sennheiser HD 598(or possible 558 because I don't like the look of the 598) Modmic for gaming. I use headphones only never speakers. I raid regularly so I need a mic for teamspeak. Even though I game a lot I want something that makes voices(youtube videos/voip)and music sound good. I'm not a really big bass head. I have plenty of flac/wav/etc format music. Would the above be a good setup for me? Are there any other headphones you guys would recommend?
  7. No sorry it's this one http://www.asus.com/Commercial_Monitors_Projectors/PB278Q/ PB278Q not PB287Q. Nice naming there ASUS!
  8. Asus PB278Q http://www.asus.com/Commercial_Monitors_Projectors/PB278Q/ highly recommend. Beautiful monitor with decent response time. That's a shame but not surprising. I also have a problem with sli where the second gpu would not overclock period and if I adjust any settings they go right back to defaults. Swapped the cards around and same issue. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix that I would appreciate it.
  9. Yes sir Yep I can adjust voltage in Precision X
  10. Thanks for the help. Although I can't adjust the voltage in MSI Afterburner even after checking unlock voltage control. Is that normal? I was able to adjust voltage in Precision X.
  11. I'm having some problems overclocking. First is clock speed fluctuates between 1188 mhz and 1225 mhz rarely hitting the clock speed I set it to. Second is different monitoring programs are giving me different answers as to what my gpu clock/mem clock are. Which of the programs are giving me the accurate answers? And is there anything I can do to stop the clock speed from bouncing around? Or is that normal? Enabling k boost in EVGA precision x did nothing. I was monitoring temps and and my card wasn't reaching it's temp limit during stress testing. Card is a msi twin frozr 780 ti
  12. Tried posting on the forums got the generic link to optimization guides all of which I tried and observed no changes. PvP over 60 unless everyone is in the middle of map fighting at once then it dips to 15-20. Other players seem to be the cause of most frame rate drops but I would think 8 people wouldn't cause such slow downs in raids.
  13. 110 in places where there aren't many people but the crowded GTN/guild bank areas drops to 30-40 fps. I've been thinking it's just awful optimization since everything I try makes 0 difference.
