Hey Guys, I'm an audio engineering student who is planning on building a PC. I've been trying to decide between an i5 and an i7 processor, and i was just wondering whether or not the hyperthreading in the i7 processors would make that big of a difference in Pro Tools (or other DAWs). I feel as though the only difference would be under a really large load (a considerable amount of tracks as well as plugins) but I'm wasn't entirely sure... however I dont have a DSP card so all of the processing would be coming from the CPU.
