Thanks everyone, for your help I believe that the Gigabyte card would be quietest because the design of the cooler looks very very similair (maybe a patent issue) to the Artic Extreme III, so maybe they are supplying them the heat exchangers and fans, If it turns out to be a dud then I'll fit another Artic unit. Water cooling is too extreme for a video cards unless your clocking it to death. The reason for the GTX 680 is simple, I also do a lot of 3D design work with Solidworks at home, you can't run AMD gaming cards with it unless you do some really series driver hacking and OS patchs; its not AMD's fault its the software Manufacturer. Nvidia cards work great. If I buy a commercial graphics (very expensive) card, they suck at games. So this is the best of both worlds It's a shame that the card manufactures don't pay greater attention to this. you spend a Zillion dollars on a good sound card or a motherboard with 7.1 sound system, but you can't hear half of it because of the whine of the cards. So you have to wear earphones, to block out the noise, so why buy 7.1 in the first place? I wonder how long it would take for them to fix it, if when ever you cranked up the gain on your 7.1 sound system that the picture on your monitor got all jerky and slow? I'd image not very long at all.
