  2. My friend wants to get a gaming PC but he has a very limited budget. It must be ITX and the mobo must have built in wifi. I have 2 routes one with a g3258 and one wiht and apu in dual graphics 1. Budget & Location Melbourne, Australia AUD $900 (Will hapily order things off newegg if they can beshipped to Australia) 2. Aim Gaming: Gmod, CS:GO, Arma 3, FIFA 15, Sid Myers Civ 5 3. Monitors 1 Monitor 1080p 4. Peripherals Need keyboard and mouse, Monitor, Headphones w/ mic 5. Why are you upgrading? No current Desktop he has a laptop with integrated graphics which he games on.
  3. Do a re-flow as others mentioned as a last resort take your hdd and battery out before you do it. If this doesn't work get a new laptop or desktop.
  4. Install adwcleaner in safe mode and run it: https://toolslib.net...d/1-adwcleaner/ This was made to target ads. If not buy a new hdd and install windows on it then copy over the specific files they need. Don't copy the core system files or program files.
  5. I would try re-applying thermal paste to the gpu and cpu. Make sure to use thermal paste that isn't conductive. If this doesn't work I don't see a point in spending more that $10 on fixing it. Just get a new system. Look on how to take your specific laptop apart on youtube take it apart and remove the cooler(s) then remove the current thermal paste with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry for 1 minute. Apply new thermal paste and then reassemble the system. Use about the size of a pea when reapplying thermal paste. Try this thermal paste: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186038 I am not responsible to any damage you cause. Do this at your own risk.
  6. Upgrading keeps all application files. Try booting into safe-mode. Press F8 at startup. This should make windows run faster because it only loads core system files. Windows will look different don't worry. Try removing things through safe mode. You would need to remove the drive and put it in a drive dock and copy the data to another pc. Then re-format the drive and install windows 7 again. Had a similar issue. This was my last resort. Install adwcleaner in safe mode and run it: https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/
