Hey guys i am a newbie when it comes to audio and I wonder what you think is a better buy between these headphones? I am also gonna buy an amp/dac combo and want to squeeze out the headphones for sound quality, any recomendations ? Budget is around what the headphones cost (200-300 euro) or is it worth to buy mmx 300 instead, becuase i am going to use a microphone daliy or is the other headphones better and just toss a modmic on it? I have seen that innerfidelity recommend hd 600 on his ''Wall of Fame'' but i dont really like the blueish color on it. And that´s why i like the customization option for the DT 990. Well this is why i am making this post becuase i have no idea how beyerdynamic sounds but i have tried the hd 558 and it should sound similar to HD 600

(it´s not a help me pick a headphones topic it´s just for fun topic) This is a few exampels of headphones I would get: Audeze LCD-2 995$ Hifiman He-560 889$ Stax SR-Lambda SR-507 Pro 736$ (would only buy these becuase of the odd design)

You don´t need a soundcard. If you would need one you should not be able to raise the voulme to a level you are pleased with. The only thing soundcards do its to amplify the headset which mean that it just raises the voulme untill you bleed from your ears. I recommed Sennhieser Game Zero even if it is a little bit expensive. or if you would want a headphone I would recommend Audio Technica ATH-M50 which are very near your budget

whoops did a mistake didnt see that if you buy something under $192,85 you can skip taxes. The amps price is $174 so i dont need to pay taxes Was looking at the objective2 +odac, i dont think i would need the odac yet.......

okey thanks guys. Sorry NannerBeans but in sweden if you buy something from an EU-country, the company need to make the product in EU to let the ware be tax free and i guess thet buy them from Mayflower so it would not be cheaper
