  1. ahaha I didn't think that one through * Nothing is guaranteed when it comes to running ANY CPU above its rated clock speed...
  2. Nothing is guaranteed when it comes to ANY CPUs clock speed...
  3. You had a 1TB SSD for SEVEN years? how much did you pay for that?
  4. I use a Surface Pro 3. Love it. Write all my lectures notes using the pen
  5. From Wikipedia: A RAID 0 setup can be created with disks of differing sizes, but the storage space added to the array by each disk is limited to the size of the smallest disk. For example, if a 120 GB disk is striped together with a 320 GB disk, the size of the array will be 120 GB × 2 = 240 GB.
  6. Yes that true. It had completely slipped my mind lol. However, wasn't that chip SLOWER than the 4790k at some tasks. I seem to remember it had better graphics but not really better at the rest.
  7. The only CPU better than the one you currently have is the i7 4790k which was just a refresh of the 4770k (and still 4 cores). Very small improvement if at all. Not worth it. As pointed out above, if you need more cores you have to go to X99
  8. Right click on the device and got to Update device driver, then go to Browse from my computer and then pick from a list of drivers. Hopefully your headset is in that list. If it is, then select it and apply that driver to that hardware device. Hopefully it will be recognized again.
  9. All skylake motherboards only "offically" support up to 2133MHz. RAM can run above this speed but it is technically an overclock. The specs of the board say that it does support XMP profiles. This means that when you boot up the machine, you can select the XMP profile that is stored in your RAM and it will automatically apply the settings to make it run at 2400MHz. Even in the unlikely case that it can't run memory over 2133, then that RAM will be perfectly happy to run at that slower speed. Everything is fine. enjoy your new PC
  10. Yes. I have 3 fans running off 1 header (with 2 splitters)
  11. Your new motherboard is not compatible with your old CPU
  12. A bigger iMac or make the iMac bigger? Even with a 27" iMac you would have the same issues. However, if you build a massive case behind the iMac (and make it look like a CRT) then you wouldn't have a problem fitting anything you'd like lol
  13. Not without heavy modding. -How would you orientate the mobo and graphics so the I/O is accessible -How would you connect the inbuilt display (I very much doubt it is displayport or something non-propriety) -probably couldn't reuse the power supply because it also wont be standard, so where would you fit one. Just a few problems I thought of the top of my head. Could try but idk if it is possible imo
  14. I am not sure that one exists. To be honest I wouldn't worry, I have never had a problem or heard of anyone having that problem. One solution would be to buy a Xeon cpu as they don't have integrated graphics (or upgrading to X99, those don't either)
