thank you for the time i will attempt to do that if it doesn’t work i do have an extra motherboard i can attempt to put in just to test and see if it’s the cpu or motherboard

also i have all pins in gpu, a 6+2 and a 6

when i had it plugged in it was into the gpu display port slot, i also had another one in the hdmi slot. The debug lights are blinking switching from dram to cpu. i have 1 stick of ddr4 8gb ram in currently all others are taken out it is in slot a2

meant to say gpu that was a typo i have not touched the cpu or removed just made sure it was properly seated

@Voluspa i just took the cpu out for ease of handling and it’s plugged into the io rear

@Voluspa if it changes anything i am switching broom a b460 to a z490 chipset i’m not sure if that changes anything

@Voluspa my power cable is just a straight 8 and it says cpu, i have one stick of ram in and it’s in the correct spot, none of the pins looked damaged i’m not sure about clear cmos jumper i will look into it

did some research and yes the cpu debug light will flash occasionally, i’m not sure what this means besides that the cpu is not working correctly

Yes i have a 2070 super, and what do you mean by debug lights i’m not familiar

Hello I have a msi mpg z490 motherboard and a i7 10700k it is my first build and i’m having issues. I can start it up and everything is getting power but no display is shown I have read that this is a power issue because i only have 6 pins powering the cpu as i am waiting on another 4 pin to show up. Any and all help is appreciated
