  1. Good Morning All, I have several IIS servers with many websites on them and i'm trying to implement a metrics system that will tell me how much each individual website is consuming in terms of bandwidth and optionally/additionally hard disk/cpu/memory usage. The latter would be a plus but not necessary. I'd like the software to be a on-premise install/self-hosted not a cloud based hosted solution. I've come across PRTG/Zabbix but those give me NIC total traffic in/out not specifically per website. Can anyone recommend something that would give me per IIS website usage stats. Much appreciated!
  2. Quick Update, Using the SAS 8708EM2 Raid Card with only 3 drives plugged into the backplane it reads them, i can swap to other drives and it reads all drives fine but only a maximum of 3 can be plugged in for it to not throw the error message "too many devices". So that tells me the backplane must be working, problem is when using the 9362-8I card no drives are detected and I suspect it's an incompatibility between the speeds on the backplane vs the controller.
  3. I will try the taping test and come back to you guys. I though to eliminate the backplane completely from the equation but I don't have a mini-sas to sata cable so i swapped to an LSI 8708EM2 card with a sas to sata cable and plugged 1 drive directly into it with power via a molex to sata converter and it detected the drive. Now switching back to the backplane I got a message saying "too many devices" I'm not sure if there is a maximum device count for this raid card but it runs at a much slower speed. Checking the backplane on google some posts say it's capable of 6g/s others i've read 3g/s perhaps it's a compatibility issue between the backplane and the card Card intended to use: SAS 9362-8I, tried 3 different ones of this model and none read drives from the backplane. Card that read 1 drive when directly connected via sas to sata cable : SAS 8708EM2 (when plugged to the backplane get too many devices error) Another card used, no drives detected on backplane or when connected directly to a drive via sas to sata cable ASR-5405Z
  4. I can put the card into JBOD mode to essentially make it an HBA but you are correct my issue is the physical drives are not showing up in the PD section of the card's bios. I flashed my motherboards bios to the latest available version on the supermicro website but that made no difference. I have Western Digital 2TB drives WD2003FYYS Enterprise drives. I'm wondering if there is a problem with the backplane or if my cable is the wrong type. Strange thing is I tried 4 different cards with different cables and none of them show any physical drives, the only common factor is the backplane but the LEDs on it show fine.
  5. There is no turning off RAID mode, it's a RAID card it only does raid. I'm not using an HBA card.
  6. Correct but my issue is happening on POST before doing anything with any kind of OS. The controller's bios does not detect any drives connected to the backplane.
  7. I'm not sure, but in post even though drives are installed into the backplane none are shown.
  8. I have a supermicro x8dtn+ with a sass backplane and an LSI 9361-8i. For some reason it's not detecting any drives installed on the server. I tried swapping the raid card with 2 others and both don't detect any drives. I plugged in the drives into a USB dock and they work and are detected by windows fine their WD 2TB enterprise drives. I'm not sure what I'm missing. The Backplane has two sass slots and so does the raid card both are plugged in.
  9. Hey Guys, I'm trying to better understand SMTP and proper configuration. I have the following setup: PostalSMTP (https://github.com/postalserver/postal) as my SMTP email sender, Smartermail as my Email Server & MailWizz as my campaign sender. MailWizz requires that I setup a delivery server, feedback loop server & bounce server. Within Postal I've configured 1 email server (sender) with 4 IP's on rotation. I created routes to forward received mail at the matching MX records to my Smartermail email server. In my DNS for mydomain.com I have 4 A records for svr1.mydomain.com, svr2.mydomain.com, svr3.mydomain.com, svr4.mydomain.com that correspond to my 4 static IPs on the postal server. I have 4 MX records that match the above. I removed my MX record that points to my smartermail server as postal has routes configured to forward to my email server that's under a different domain IE: mail.myotherdomain.com so I don't see a need to have an MX record for my actually email server mail.myotherdomain.com but I'm not sure this is correct. My thinking is that all MX records for svr1.mydomain.com should point ONLY to postal and then have postal forward them to mail.myotherdomain.com' It's also required I have CNAME records for track.mydomain.com, bounce.mydomain.com & feedback.mydomain.com. What I'm confused on is within the CNAME record's value IE: bounce.mydomain.com is that just refering to an email address that exists on mail.myotherdomain.com or a server I need to setup?
  10. I haven't had much luck with SAMBA, and SQL export's don't seem to allow SMB shares as data/log/backup drives. I was able to get it working you do have to ISCSI them to all machines 1st. Thanks @Electronics Wizardy
  11. Hey Guys, Looking for some advice guidance here. I've setup 4 ISCSI Targets that i'd like to share across 4 host nodes. 1st step was to connect HOST01 to TRUENAS through ISCSI 2nd step I formatted the 4 targets in NTFS From here should I connect my 4 targets via ISCSI to the remaining 3 HOST NODES, BEFORE configuring the cluster shared volume in windows or after?
  12. I've created two SQL virtual machines and configured Always-on. Looking in the dashboard I see that my primary is set to : Synchronous Commit secondary is set to: Asynchronous Commity Shouldn't both be set to the same type or is this configuration okay?
  13. This is done via the "Add Vdevs to Pool" correct?
