That runs Ubuntu - your don't Fold on GPU's on Linux/Ubuntu. You can use WINE, but that doesn't work very well and there is a beta Linux folding for NVidia, but if you want GPU folding, stick with Windows. Almost all 16+ core folders are running Linux or Ubuntu...

Well, If you have done so already. You could try overclocking and/or tighting the memory timings to get a small boost.

Although the boost only seems to be noticeable enough on 4P servers (being the performance is so much higher on 4p systems than single cpu systems, the effects of small changes on memory seam to be more noticeable than they would be other wise.)

Sadly, I dont have the link anymore showing how much PPD some people were seeing with different memory timing...

Yep - seen those. My 24 core unit is already OC'ed :) And to OC the 32 core unit, I actually need a whole new BIOS chip and even then, like you said, can be a lot of work to get a small increase.

The GOOD news though - wife aggreed that her favorite hubby deserves a nice new GPU for his birthday. Should it be a GTX 770 or a AMD 7970? Hmm.. choices...
