  1. Hi, New in the audio section so please keep it dump enough to understand if you give any reasoning for you suggestion. I been going in circles about what to get for my desktop and ps5, so I am in need of help also I have no clue what is good to get. I am living in the UK, so please keep in mind when recommending. The plan is to buy soming I am going to keep for long, so there is no specific budget in mind but be resonable. Don't have a headphone right now but will buy one so I want amp that I don't need to worry about not enough power to run it properly, not sure what yet but will creat a new topic for it later. I got Yahama HS5 studio monitors and planning to get a powered subwoofer maybe Yahama HS8S but that will be decide later when I got there to buy one. Fetures I would want to have: balanced outputs - its seem better at not picking up noise, is XLR cables better at this? if it have a screen I wish to turn it brighness down or off, best if would be automatic but at worst I would put a dark film on it to reduce the light maybe a seperate output for the subwoofer wish for more than one usb input but from my reaserch there is not many if they exist. Must not to be big about the sizes below. The dac/amp and all in one I am looking right now: topping: D90 (or se) + A90 D30pro + A30pro DX3 pro+ EX5 DX7 pro smsl su9 + smsl sh9 schiit - used only as th store in UK have no stock at all, used also limited but every now and then there is good selection Please let me know if you got any other recommending. Thank you reading it maybe bit to long but wanted give as much information I could, but any question I can answer I will.
  2. Budget (including currency): for upgrade whatever need to buy or for new build ~£2000 at most ~£2500 GBP Country: United Kingdom Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: most of the time gaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): What I have right now: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHz 8-Core Processor $214.36 @ Amazon CPU Cooler Corsair H115i RGB PLATINUM 97 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $139.99 @ Newegg Thermal Compound Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut 1g 1 g Thermal Paste $7.99 @ Amazon Motherboard Gigabyte X470 AORUS GAMING 7 WIFI ATX AM4 Motherboard Memory G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory $107.99 @ Newegg Storage Crucial MX500 250 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $42.86 @ Amazon Storage Samsung 860 Evo 2 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive $247.99 @ Amazon Storage Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $44.99 @ Adorama Video Card MSI GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER 6 GB GAMING X Video Card $264.99 @ Best Buy Case Thermaltake Core X71 ATX Full Tower Case $129.99 @ Amazon Power Supply EVGA G3 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply $166.38 @ Amazon Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit $108.78 @ Other World Computing Monitor Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ 27.0" 2560x1440 165 Hz Monitor $420.99 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $1897.30 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-11-02 08:33 EST-0500 I want to upgrade or build a new from scratch. I will change the GPU for 3080 or amd big navi (if I can get one of them) and I want to change the CPU for ryzen 3900X (or XT) or the new 5900X, just don't know which one make more sense for this build. I also think changing the motherboard for new x570 board which about to come out soon as well, just I don't know it worth it or just keep the x470 and wait for AM5 socket. I am bit concear about the psu if it enough for power all system with the new the GPU and CPU.
  3. Budget (including currency): up to £2000 (GBP) but it not a hard limit which would be around £2500 as long it reasonable. Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: for now mainly gaming but 3D designing and stimulations would be as a workstation applications for me Other details English is not my first language so please forgive me if there is any grammatical mistakes, thanks. I am using a 1440p 144hz monitor right now. Not planning to OC for now but want to have the extra head room for it when I do. Some not out yet but I am plannig to build CPU - new - AMD Ryzen 9 5900X or 5950X Cooler - maybe need to get something better if not enough - Corsair H115i RGB PLATINUM 97 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler Motherboard - advice for keep old X470 or get new - Asus Crosshair VIII Dark Hero x570 or some other with passive cooling Ram - advice - want to upgrade to 32GB from 16GB Boot Drive - change to nvme from sata - sabrent rocket 4 plus 1TB or 2TB Games/other - new - sabrent rocket 4 plus 2TB Rubbish collection - keep or maybe give to my parents to upgrade their laptop, yet to decide - Samsung 860 Evo 2 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive Graphics card - new, yet to choose any specific model - RTX 3080 or big navi Power supply - advice if its will be enough or need to get a bigger one - EVGA SuperNOVA G3 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Motherborad and power supply is the biggest concern for me as how will the motherboard deal with the GPU blow hot air on the passive cooling for the chipset and if the power supply is enough to power all of this. Also how much the cas latency is matter, let say 3600 cl16 vs 3600 cl14 or 4000 cl16 vs 4000 cl14? Thanks
