  1. I have a XPS 9570 with an intel i7-8750h and 1050ti Max-Q graphics card and recently bought 2 144hz monitors. The first one I returned because I thought there was something wrong with it when I changed the refresh rate to 144hz, but upon receiving the new one I’m getting the exact same problem. I was displaying the monitors out of the HDMI 2.0 port instead of a display port, as I don’t have a dedicated display port on my laptop. However, I have a USB C that acts as a display port 1.2 which may allow for higher bandwidth than the HDMI port. Given that I don’t have a USB C to Display port adapter at the moment, I haven’t had the chance to test this yet. However, I have also read online that because my laptop uses Nvidia's optimus system where all of the io ports are connected to the intel integrated graphics card, it may not be able to support a 144hz output. My thought after this was to perhaps disable the integrated gpu so only my dedicated gpu will be in use at all times, however I have also read that due to this system, the dedicated gpu won’t be used unless there are processes that call for higher performances, preventing me from having any display at all, so am not sure if that is an option. The problem that occurs whenever I set my display to 144hz is shown in the photo below. To explain, the leftmost 1/5th~ish of the screen moves to the very right of the screen, and everything else shifts over to the left. At this point, the screen itself is successfully at 144hz. This does not occur at 100hz or 120hz, and the monitor operates correctly at these refresh rates.
  2. I recently bought the AOC C24G1A, a monitor that supports a 144hz refresh rate. However, whenever I change the refresh rate to 144hz, what is supposed to be the very left 1/6th of my screen moves to the right and the rest of the screen moves to the left, as shown in the image below. This doesn't happen when it is in 60hz, and it occurs in different resolutions. I don't believe this is a windows problem, as when I took a screenshot, the image looked fine. I know my chances of finding a solution at AOC technical support is higher, but they are closed for the weekend and was wondering if anybody has any solutions. The screen properly becomes 144hz, my Windows is updated to the most recent version, I have tried the 2 HDMI 2.0 ports on the monitor (my laptop, Dell XPS 15 9750 only has 1 HDMI port), I have looked through the settings of the monitor to find a solution, I have looked through AOC's FAQ for a solution as well.
