  1. The other day i bought a used PowerColor Red Devil RX 6800 XT. When playing games, especially at high frame rates and in game menus i hear a coil wine coming from my GPU and it's really annoying. I tried lowering the voltage to 1060mV and capping the frame rate to 140fps (bellow my monitor native refresh rate) and the noise does get lower but i can still hear it to the point of it annoying me just enough. The only culprit for this problem can be my PSU which is Chieftec ECO 700W GPE-700S https://www.chieftec.eu/products-detail/118/ECO_SERIES/122/GPE-700S It's an European PSU that focuses on power efficiency and saving energy and it's a brand that hardly any Americans have even heard of. I was thinking of buying a new more expensive PSU like the Corsair RM850e, which is not only Fully-Modular, but also has two different PCI-E cables unlike mine which only came with one. I've heard people saying that plugging two (6+2) pins from two different PCI-E cables does help with lowering coil whine noise. Also on the PowerColor website it does say that the "Minimum Recommended PSU" for their RX 6800 XT is 850W. So it's maybe mine fault for not talking that seriously. So, what are your thoughts? I don't want to end up buying a 100$ more expensive PSU just to have the same coil whine noise again. That's why i need yours reassurance! The rest of my specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600 MB: MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max RAM: HyperX Predator 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200 PSU: Chieftec ECO 700W GPE-700S
  2. There are no background tasks. There is one thing though. I've recently updated to the latest BIOS for my motherboard which is actually in BETA. Could that be the problem in any way?
  3. I'm playing Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. I'm getting an average of 90-140 FPS on Ultra settings. However after playing for a while the game starts stuttering like crazy, something that i would explain as "Frame Lag". If i restart the mission, the stuttering will go away but then it will come back after several minutes of gameplay. Here is the footage of what's happening: (pay special attention to 3:30) GPU: RTX 2070 Super CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 RAM: 16GB G-Sync Compatible: ON
  4. 144hz monitor. Vsync is turned off.
  5. I'm using RTX 2070 Super. When i enable G-Sync i see a -10FPS decrease while playing GTA V. Is that normal or is it just how G-Sync works? Cause in most FPS games that i play (Call of Duty), G-Sync usually makes the performance a lot smoother. But in GTA V, the game feels much smoother without the G-Sync. Turning off G-Sync makes average FPS in GTA V around 70FPS while in mountains and around 90FPS while in town. While with G-Sync turned on, i get 65FPS in mountains and around 80FPS in town. So i don't really get it...
  6. I've just bought a DisplayPort cable to replace my HDMI cable so that i can use G-Sync. Should I reinstall the latest GPU drivers before enabling G-Sync or am i good to go? (I already have the latest drivers thats why I said "reinstall")
  7. I just want to know is it safe.
  8. Nothing, i've just decided to put 100% fan speed to 90 instead of 70 to achieve the most gradual fan distance and make even quieter transition.
  9. CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 Cooler: CM Hyper T4 MB: MSI GAMING PLUS MAX My CPU temperature ranges between 60 and 70 degrees while gaming. It's very annoying when my CPU Fan ramps up to full speed and then instantly goes down during gaming. Is this a good Fan Curve to avoid CPU fan getting to 100% when hitting 70 degrees? (While being safe for the CPU of course)
  10. So is it safe, for example, to put 80% speed on 70 degrees instead of 100%?

  12. CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 MB: MSI B450 GAMING PLUS MAX GPU: RTX 2070 Super Cooler: Hyper T4 What's the ideal fan curve for CPU cooler in gaming without making too much noise? All the games i play bounce around between 60 and 70 degrees. And since people have told me that i need to put the fan speed to 100% when it gets to 70 degrees, it gets really noisy. Then it goes back to 60. And again and again... Is this okay? I'm using 1usmus power plan.
  13. Did that already. Is there a way to set a fixed CPU fan speed?
  14. When i'm playing a game such as GTA V, my fans randomly speed up and slow down every 10 seconds. It's really annoying and a bit freaky. Is there a setting to stabilize fans so that they run at the same speed and don't jump around constantly? GPU: RTX 2070 SUPER CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (Stock) MB: MSI B450 Gaming Plus MAX My BIOS is at default settings. (XMP enabled)
