corduroy's Achievements

  1. Have a trick that know one does, that keep's the vrm's temps in check
  2. I dont follow Half speed what sorry
  3. Lowering to 800mhz is normal thats called cool & quiet technologie from Amd, how it works is when you're cpu is doing nothing like idleing the clocks lower to save on power, but once you put on a load on it like into a game for example the cpu clocks back up to 3.4ghz , and dont worry by disableing cool and quiet to force you're cpu at full clocks well not benefit nothing in terms of speed. now about overclocking you're cpu i dont see the point why would you untill you figure out the memory problem, with that said if you want to overclock i would suggest you read up some amd phenom II overclock guides before you start, cause if you dont know what you're doing you're at risk damageing or frying parts and thats never a good thing
  4. Hes cpu is fine leave the guy alone if he wants to upgrade on hes own he well. As for hes cpu its a ok chip even for todays standard it has more then enough power to run any game, look at this way if he had a dual core cpu, that i can understand
  5. Compareing with you're freind is inmature
  6. I disagree you can get away with mixing memory. as proof i have a back up computer with mixed momory works flawlessly, so you know i mixed memory many times before with out issues. And if its makes you feel any better i slighty agree that there is a 5% to 1% chance from mixing sticks you run into random stability issues. p.s take my word for it cause ive worked on computers for 15+ years
  7. 11dfw1 how old are you
  8. Whats you're power supply? cause that could be the problem
  9. Just a furture reference tip NEVER BRING YOU'RE COMPUTER TO BESTBUY/FUTURE SHOP cause technician's know very little and over charge you. Bring you pc into some shop that deals with gaming computers on a normal basis
  10. By pass whatever everyone one said the easier way is to use occt set to to memory for 1 hour, that way its alot less hassle to make a iso memtet image. P.s to many kids on these fourms making stupid suggestings
  11. What i do is remove the heatsink and fan, then i just blow it out and tough or small areas i use a q-tips, if its really bad i soaked the heatsink in hot winter then let it dry for a day or so
  12. What does the bios say for temps, anothier thing take the side cover off you're case and stress test apu with prime 95 and thouch the heatsink and see if its warm to hot if its hot to touch then 93c is correct, if its warm then 93c is way off
